  1. I totally understand and feel your frustration. It’s that pesky “team” stat idea. No, return yards aren’t added to O stats, but points scored on those returns are added to a team points scored stats.
  2. That’s the whole point of when I said Josh could actually have lesser stats this year and still be a better QB than he was last year. If we appreciate the difference between being a QB and being a passer, it’s pretty easy to understand.
  3. Well deserved. I was surprised at how athletic he was, especially when he dropped into coverage on zone blitzes. On his sack, he actually abandoned his coverage zone and came up to make the stop on Brissett before he could get across the LOS. Because of his length, he’s deceptively fast.
  4. I hear what you’re saying and it’s ok to make a separate category if you like, and I do that myself, but “team defense” is a “team” stat, after all. And when you get a punt blocked or have to defend a run back of any kind (fumble, INT, kick or punt), your team is technically playing defense in those situations.
  5. Yep. If I have a receiver that can’t block, he’s not gonna play very often, if at all. Simple as that.
  6. Knox threw a nice block on Motor’s TD run. Came across the formation and took his man out.
  7. I wish we had two versatile, good blocking and interchangeable TEs. You come out in 12 personnel on a few series and watch how quickly those two deep safeties creep up to stop the run. And when defenses go heavier to counter it, flex one or both out wide and feast in the mismatches with LBs and/or smaller DBs. You’d think that with Daboll’s familiarity with the Pats*** success with it might inform him. Then again, we don’t have the same kind of horses in the barn.
  8. Love Baldy’s commentary. How does he find a guy who was hanging out at a water slide at a water park? 😂
  9. Josh didn’t want the lost yardage subtracted from his rushing stats and insisted on Trubisky going in to run victory formation.
  10. Glad it’s nothing more serious. That said, I think McKenzie should add “Tua’s Bruised Ribs” to the menu at his new south beach BBQ place.
  11. I’ve praised this team in losses and criticized them in wins for over 50 years. It’s honest criticism and has nothing to do with being a “good” fan or not. Does anyone here honestly think the coaches aren’t gonna offer up a ton of the same kind of criticism during film review today? The offense is not sync. There are reasons for this. Some guys aren’t playing as expected on that side of the ball. And just like the coaches aren’t bad coaches for pointing that out, I’m not a “bad” fan for that either.
  12. I swear that’s how I read “WFT” every time. Every. Time.
  13. I’d add Milano, Oliver, and the secondary as well. They were very stingy today.
  14. Good critique. I lay most of the problems with the passing game directly at the feet of the OLine. Josh has been forced off platform more times in these first two games than I can recall in any two game stretch last season. It’s fair to wonder if KC created a blueprint, which is why Daboll and Allen need to make adjustments. That’s fair.
  15. Except I’m not complaining. I’m simply offering an honest critique of what I’ve observed thru two weeks. I couldn’t care less if you don’t like my take, but it’s been decades since I’ve “complained” about anything football. And the defense WAS the difference in this game. That was even more evident than the offense struggling to find some rhythm.
  16. He certainly caused a few even if he didn’t get credit.
  17. Nope. It’s not about seeing the Josh Allen light show, whatever that is. It’s about execution and this team, largely due to the OLine is just not firing on all cylinders yet. It’s plain to see. You can spout all the stats you want, and there have been a smattering of terrific plays, particularly effort plays, but we aren’t a polished unit so far; far from it. I’m not complaining as it’s nice to win 35 - zip when not playing your best game. We have work to do on the O side of the ball. No shame in that, especially after two games when most teams are gonna struggle for consistency.
  18. Epenesa was a one man wrecking crew today. He keeps this up and he’s the steal of last year’s draft.
  19. Hats off to the defense. They won this game. Hats off to the Miami secondary, particularly their CBs, who are the only reason we didn’t hang another 50 burger on them today. Daboll, Allen and this offense look like crap. They have a lot of work to do.
  20. Tyler Bass at DT I can see, but Allen on the punt team? No way.
  21. I suspect it may become a priority before this season is finished.
  22. Does the pope crap in the woods?
  23. Who is “they?”
