Some telling statements from the article.... Get that?? In the previous 60 years, we have not totaled a more months of above 8% unemployment than during the current Obama "recovery"?? People are unemployed for twice as long during the Obama "recovery" than ever before.... That is in speaking of the decline in household income... There's more... the rise in food stamp, the rise in disability, the drop in work force participation... Heck of a "recovery" huh??

I don't know that I ever have since I've been here because I usually ignore/abhor most of his personal attacks. I would say that PBO has this election all but wrapped up, simply because his "hope and change" has now given him 50% of the population now dependent on gov handouts. Ted's learning.... I think he would admit, he has a long way to go if he want to make the team... He's got all the tools, and he's obviously, a fan favorite. Ted puts in the extra time with his positional coaches, showing he wants to be part of this team. We're in training camp now, and I expect him to graduate on time in July... We'll see yet if that carries over in to game times in November..

It's the back and forth you expect from the checks and balances literally written into our Constitution... Historically, every branch, executive, legislative; includes Senate and House, judicial) has tried to extent their authority beyond the bound set for them. And historically, the other branches have "fought" (for lack of a better term) their way back to that balance. It's only recently, like in the past 100 years, that the balance has shifted so much towards the executive. What made that possible is the question you should ask... Simply put, The People, got dumber... But 2 things in particular helped that to happen... and their amendments to the Constitution we, the dumasses, approved of... The 16th and the 17th... Did you know, the original version had a line in there that stated, and these enumerations shall never exceed 1 1/2 percent of income"?? I'm not gonna post links to all this... Google is your friend... Ha!!!! In one fell swoop, Washington was given total control over the purse, rewriting any limits on government taxation with the lines... So now, Washington figure it's OK if it's not "fair"... And they make it so... Do you smoke?? If not, is it OK that someone that does pays such a ridiculous tax for their desire? Do you drink?? Do you think it's fair that you pay an exorbitant tax for that drink? That I don't have to pay too?? I'm childless... If you have kids, you get a tax credit I ultimately pay for... Get my drift??? I could go on for pages.... But this alone, has divided our country more than any here will probably admit. The ability of Washington to divide us into groups... Divide and conquer... The Senate was originally designed to represent the states, elected by the legislatures of those states... The representatives, were set to represent the people of the district. States powers have been reduced to nothing, between these 2 amendments... the Feds tax, and fund, and if a state disagrees with them, they fail to fund... Imagine if the Senators still represented the states... Would they willingly take money away from the legislators that elected them? I'd bet we would have few, if any, career Senators if not for this amendment. The below is what we refer to as the 10th Amendment... And I hope anyway, you can see how the 16th and 17th destroyed the basis of this important amendment... We gave them the power of the purse, and also took away the representation meant to protect this amendment... there are other causes and effects involved, but this should give you a decent idea to start... And Oh!!! American People, ARE dumber as the arguments against my post will soon prove... Have to edit already... If anyone here has actually READ the Constitution??? The "Amendments" are actually "Articles", and the 10th, is actually Article the 12th.. Disagree.... We need to instead, abolish the 17th Amendment, and return the Senate to the control of the states where it was intended. That would go a long, long way, toward returning power to the people and states where it was supposed to be... Potus... elected by the electoral college, the "executor" and supposedly, the protector of the law House... Elected by the people of their district, representing the people of their district... Senate... Elected by the state legislatures, representing the states... Exactly!!! In today's society, we have this notion that everything is supposed to work fast, but that is usually because we think of this country as a Democracy, where the majority rules, to the detriment of the minority ... That was NEVER the intent!!! BTW... The smallest of minorities is the individual.. In a true Republic, the government is supposed to have restraints, purposely, in order to slow it down enough for the people to rebel... That rebellion, is hopefully, through the election cycle. What we may be witnessing is the usurpation of a Republic, and the beginning of tyranny in the form of a dictatorship under Obama. History has shown repeatedly how one individual, once elected, begins an assault on the other branches of government, literally over running them with their own mandates and doctrines. Eventually, it reaches the point that they simply disband the other branches in favor of a totalitarian regime under themselves. There is much more at stake to the American People than "just an election". This could be the end of what little liberty and freedom we still have. Next step will be to force early retirement by the Supremes under the threat of increasing their numbers, and packing the court with his people who will further his goals... Congress, if they continue to allow this, is already meaningless...
