I like him. If he were there in rd 3, I’d run to the podium. Decent value as a Rd 2 pick. At the 27th pick, I don’t like it. I think he’ll be gone before our pick in rd 2 strictly because he brings an entirely different dimension. He can change an offense. I’m a big believer in 12 personnel and hope that we implement it into our offense. It creates lots of mismatches in todays nfl with so many teams running nickel as their base. He would be an asset in the run and pass game. My only question would be, can Dorsey make the best use of him. He’s been a believer of 12 personnel in the past. But show me the baby.

I think it’s very short sighted to look at the WRs and think “I want elite size or elite speed” when the most important attributes are getting open and catching the ball.
-
Yeah Davis was solid…. But he also played guard. He didn’t have to worry about the speed rush on the outside. There have a been a bunch of mountainous OTs. They just disappear into the abyss of fats and you forget about them. on a more serious note, I hear what you’re saying. There aren’t a lot of them…. But the fact the fact that there are so few we can name as “good”, gives me much to worry about. I’d rather have Harrison, Mauch, Bergeron and possibly Duncan.
-
Trent Brown had his moments too. But also showed that he was pretty terrible when he wasn’t at his absolute best.
-
You want a WR with elite size? All time, how many WRs with elite size have turned out to be great? Maybe 1 out of 100 imo
-
Monstrous OTs scare me. 370 LBs is unnecessary and, imo, shows lack of work ethic. Millions upon millions of dollars on the line. Control your weight. how many good OTs are 6’7- 350+?

With Addison still on board, I agree. Looking back at last seasons offense, we REALLY missed having a stud slot WR. Josh and Cole had a special connection and it was clear that Cole’s replacements weren’t good enough. We need more. maybe that guy is Shakir? I’m one of his biggest supporters and feel like he could be that guy. I love his RAC ability and toughness. Does he have the innate ability to find that soft spot in the zone. Does he have enough wiggle and footwork to take corners to the woodshed when he has to get open? He may very well be a solid slot WR. But is that enough? Cole was an all pro slot and we were close to unstoppable with him in that role. While we had success last year on O (thanks to 17 and 14) the offense was missing what prime Cole brought to the table. I think downs could end up being a top flight, all pro slot WR. He looks special to my eye. And if the top 3 WRs are off the board, I wouldn’t mind him being our pick. I think he’s a sure fire “very good” slot WR at worst with a high floor.

We better not trade down of addison is sitting there for us @ 27. I’m in favor of trading down in almost any other situation (minus Johnston or JSN miraculously being available). what don’t you like about Addison as a WR? Weight is the only thing I have a problem with.
-
Nice. I think he has the highest floor of all the WRs by a country mile. No chance he busts imo. Pairing him with his college teammate adds camaraderie to the locker room.

I think Richardson is a terrible QB. He’s just such an impressive athlete, that an offensive coach with an ego (and they all have egos) will be tempted to prove how great they are by being the man to mold him into a good QB. If there’s a type of player coaches roll the dice on, it’s his type. but yeah…. He’s awful at playing QB. If play on the field was the only thing that dictates where a player is drafted, he’d be the last player drafted

Jeffrey Simmons extended with Titans - 4 years, $94 Million
NewEra replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
His character concerns were the main reason, but he also tore his Achilles in February prior to the draft. I think the injury also had an affect on teams passing on him. I thought he was elite level but the video was too much to overlook with the 9th pick -

And Dexter Lawrence is right there with the best of them. -
Dam you @wppete good- I don’t want him falling to the jets anyways. with the 13th pick, the NY Jets select Jaxon Smith-Njigba WR, Ohio St. We don’t plan on repeating what the Packers did for AR. We’re gonna give him weapons- Reuniting Garrett Wilson with the guy he says is better than him. Wilson and Lazard on the outside with JSN in the slot. We feel Lazard is a below average #2 option. Adding JSN makes Lazard a very good #3 and Hardman a great #4. Mims as the 5th. We strongly considered Broderick Jones and Darnell Wright after losing out on Skoronski, but feel that JSN is as can’t miss as they come. We love our playmakers. Considered Kincaid as well, but we’re happy with Uzomah, Conklin and Ruckert. @inaugural balls is on the clock

Jets still looking to trade down, but will be making a pick once on the clock if no offers.
-
That works too. I think whoever trades up (if the picks are even up for trade) is gonna pay a fortune. I like Hooker more than most. I’m betting on the person.
-
Trade down and draft Hooker- Mac will never be the guy
-
The jets are looking to trade down from 13 if there’s any interest
-
That’s who I would’ve taken with the rams pick too. Get the LT in place for Caleb.
-
Breaking News: Adam Schefter reports: David Stern has risen from the dead and vetoed the previously announced Cooper Kupp to Chicago trade. Stern wasn’t done there. He vetoed another Rams trade, this one involving Aaron Donald to a Super Bowl contender that we won’t name. more news on this later. Or not.
-
I’ll give you stafford for a 3rd. 😜
-
Yes…. We were basically forced to trade. We just wanted to settle on something that both teams would be ok with. It’s a pretend exercise. No reason to waste real life hours going back and forth on a trade that has to happen. Who else would be interested in AR? No one interested, less demand, lower price. A 2nd and a WR is a decent price. I offered #13 overall but while getting back the packers 3rd rd pick but was declined. You traded a player that plays a vital role in the SF SB hopes. So you can run the wishbone
-
Yeah. And zero downfield WR threats. When’s the last time a wishbone team won a SB? You have a team that was a THREE QB injuries away from a SB appearance and scrap it for the wishbone….. questionable. Aiyuk was instrumental in that offense. He kept the defenses honest. I get the fit- gave up too much imo
-
I think you killed that trade. If I were the saints, I’d have traded everyone of value and taken your dead cap lumps this year while tanking for Caleb or Drake. I think the only way they give up more is if there’s another team seriously interested. dunno if that’s the case.
