  1. I’m not implying that at all. Regarding the following paragraph ….. what they have been doing so far hasn’t been working. You’re correct. Then you go on to imply that they won’t figure it out because they haven’t yet. That very well may be the case. It may not. We don’t know what it’s going to take to get this right….but I’m confidant that they will give it their best try. That’s all we have right now.
  2. I hear ya. I love watching his offense for the most part. Just not a fan of prematurely putting the current staff to rest before the season is over. Mcdermott has earned enough of my trust to give him til the end of the season to see if he can right this ship.
  3. Because we don’t know if Dorsey is going to figure this out. This season isn’t over. What this thread does, is insinuate that this team has zero shot to win this year. Because if we did win this year, we most certainly wouldn’t be hiring Ben Johnson. The thread puts Dorsey in the grave prematurely imo. don’t get me wrong…..I think there’s a better than 50% chance Dorsey gets the axe. McD could suffer the same fate due to choosing Dorsey. Which would make Ben Johnson a serious candidate and my first choice to run the show…..but I thought “fans” were supposed to back the current team. We wait all offseason for this moment in time….and we’re talking about what will happen when this team fails.
  4. I agree, we need an improved offense. But can Ben Johnson the OC run his offense while also being a good HC? That’s the 2nd question. Some one will find out next season. The first question is: Will Ken Dorsey figure out how to turn this O around? If he does, Ben Johnson won’t be a consideration in Buffalo because it’ll be McD and Dorsey once again. Be a fan of this team. Focus on the task at hand. Winning this season. or give up and focus on next year. 💩
  5. No, we just need to improve. We already know that our season is over if we continue to play like this.
  6. I hear ya. Cicero he is not! 🤣 I just didn’t appreciate his choice of words
  7. Ok, so the difference is “knowing”. Imo, in most cases when teams are trying to fight the funk, they don’t know exactly how to fix it. They work at it. We obviously don’t “know” yet, so the only thing we can do is work hard and try and figure it out. Put the work in in the film room and practice field- develop ideas and out them into action. Throw them against the wall and see if it sticks. I don’t consider that a loser mentality. It sounds very similar to what your suggesting. In your eyes, Regarding the bolded, they should try what? What they did on the first drive vs Cinci? Pass every play? I bet that they’ll be trying stuff they think will work. Problem is, they just don’t “know” yet. All they can do is work hard and hope they figure it out. “Loser mentality” “The only thing on my mind is getting that incentive”. I love Ed. Huge supporter. I didn’t like that answer either. The only thing on his mind is reaching his incentive. Poor choice of words imo
  8. A season is made up of many chapters. Lots of “good teams” suffer through peaks and valleys throughout a campaign. Some suffer through more than others. If putting in the hard work with hope to find out what works best is a losers mentality, what is a winning mentality? what does this team need to do to not be a loser? Or is it just inevitable? I believe this is what every team does. In many cases “finding out what works best” is something more specific…..I’m making a generalization. For us- we need to figure out how to become more consistent and score more points offensively. On defense, we have to get healthy and hope von comes around. If Von comes around and Ed, Rousseau and the DBs get healthy we can get back to being a top 10 D. Plus a consistent offense that scores points and a SB is within our grasp. I don’t believe that is so far fetched. But it doesn’t happen without hard work and effort to figure it out. He’ll probably never start for this team
  9. 💯 👍🏻
  10. I don’t think there is a switch. I think that insinuates that we’ve already figured it out, we just have to apply it I don’t think that they have figured it out. There is no switch to flip. Just put in the hard work and hope to find gold. They better find it soon
  11. Attention There aren’t any great teams this year Imo. Get hot and win yourself a SB. The offense can be good enough to carry our injury ravaged defense. They just need to figure out how to become that good.
  12. Brett explained the EPA- one big play with a long field to go = high epa. The following 3 and out a much lower effect on the EPA meaning the failed drive is still +2.5 epa even though the drive was a failure. Lots of drives starting deep in our own territory then some big plays followed by 💩 and a punt = positive EPA…..when it’s actually 💩
  13. And who beat them? The 2nd least injured roster in the league.
  14. Lots of luck involved with winning a Super Bowl. We’ve had very little over the last 2 seasons.
  15. Same here. It’s really depressing for those that aren’t depressed about this team. I’m really looking forward to seeing how this team responds and evolves over the next 2 months.
  16. Because the chiefs haven’t lost Chris Jones, Nick Bolton, and L’harius sneed for the season. If we had invested big in the offense and those investments were injuries, the offense would regress. Just like the defense has. Two years in a row, the d has been ravaged by major injuries while the offense has been healthy as can be. we have plenty of RAC players now. Kincaid, cook and Shakir are all more above average in that dept imo. As is Diggs. Too bad Harty has been an utter failure and just doesn’t have the juice anymore.
  17. Iirc, started out great last year, suffered a high ankle sprain and was never great again. This year, started out great, someone fell on his ankle, was never the same again. 🤦🏻‍♂️
  18. You watch every game. 🤣
  19. If he were trying to be knox, I think he’d be lowering the shoulder and trying to batter the defender, no? He had to pick his poison on the fumble. Get real low real quick go head to head or do what he did. Neither option would’ve been good for his health.
  20. They are basically like runs….. great runs. It’s so easy. The kid gains separation with the best TEs I can remember and his hands might be better than his separation. I’d like to see him work the mid-deep routes too. I think it’ll come, but right now, short is so easy…. and productive. We need to continue to feed him. It’ll open everything up for Diggs deep. Dorsey just needs to do a better job with his play construction at times.
  21. We played a hot team, that was considered to be as good, if not better than us to start the season…..in their stadium. In theory, if both teams were 💯, it would be an even matchup. But both teams weren’t 💯. One was healthy. The other has been ravaged by injuries and even accumulated a few more critical injuries during the game. We lost by a score, in a game where we turned the ball over in the 4th qtr in the red zone. We held a high powered offense to 24 pts….3 in the 2nd half…..after losing our only starting LB. and this is mcdermotts fault? Time management…. and a challenge? That’s why we lost? Good grief. see you guys next week- enjoy wallowing in your misery.
  22. We can win without turnovers….as long as we don’t turn it over.
  23. You think we lost that game because of clock management?
