Agree for the most part, but the D gave up gw drives to the pats and broncos. In both games, the offense scored TDs to give us the lead. And in both games, the D couldn’t hold the lead. Because of this, I don’t think we can absolve the defense and say every loss is 💯on the offense. Losses are often a combination multiple facets.

Let’s just say that we had fired Mcdermott rather than Dorsey….who would be the HC? Dorsey? Washington? Kromer? Shula? Ehhhhhhh. We’d also need a defensive playcaller/DC. This is the only move that could be made that would still give us a chance to make a run. Fire McD and the season would’ve been over immediately imo. And the Kincaid drop on 3rd down. It was equal to a turnover

I’m a life long Harbaugh hater, but I’d have no choice to be ok with it. Luckily for Terry, it doesn’t matter what I’m ok with. I think Harbaugh is very good coach that has a shorter shelf life with pro teams than a very good coach should have. He’s a douche. Most people don’t like douches imo. So most of the players won’t like him after awhile. He’s built for college imo. if he were our next coach, I’m sure I’d be excited.

Right…..but the D was very good when healthy. Borderline elite defense. Everything would be different this season if those guys wouldn’t have gotten hurt. Dorsey would still be the OC too. Believe that I haven’t gotten myself up to listen to to either of his PCs since the game. Was it that bad? Should I watch or skip it?

No, it’s not. Add Milano, Daquan, Tre, Hyde and Benford. But I’m with you. I don’t think the year is shot. I believe we can and will likely make the playoffs. We needed a big shakeup though. Dunno if this will fix us for certain but i do believe the season was likely over if we had kept Dorsey.

Perfectly stated. I’ve been backing McD throughout the year but last night really has me thinking I want an entirely new regime. Roll the dice. Could be a mistake as I think McD is a good coach and the replacement could be much worse….. but it’s worth the risk. that said….. 7 games left. The season isn’t over. I’m pumped to see what we do going forward with Brady even though I’m not really a fan of the guy. He could very well be part of the problem though. Josh has looked worse with Brady than he did pre-Brady imo. And he’s flat out just missing throws. Good comp% but seems like the big 3rd downs he misses more often than not. But either way…. Brady isn’t Dorsey and for that, I am pumped. Hopefully the O can catch fire and this is exactly what we needed

Prior to the season, I thought he needed to win at least 2 playoffs games to keep his job, but the injuries in D have really taken a toll on what he wants to do. This was terrible and I b****** about it to my boys throughout the 1st half. I knew he’d be benched but it should’ve been for the 2nd series. Cook is a dynamic playmaker and we need to use him more. His usage (or lack thereof) is part of the reason this offense is struggling. and none of this would’ve happened if we had just deferred the opening KO. Choosing the ball was the beginning of the end and the first of McDs failures yesterday. Had a bad feeling after that. It is his MO and is part of his problem.

He was appointed to be a human shield….. you’ve said some stupid things, but never something this stupid. He didn’t want to hire a good OC that could help him win a SB which could have given him a lifetime contract….. he wanted to hire a lesser OC so he could fire him and keep his job for an extra season or 2. Got it. 👌

Same. Let it go. Seems like we made a mistake keeping mcdermott and Dorsey. I think the week 1 D would’ve been good enough to get us in the playoffs, but the injuries prevented that. Then McD and co compounded the sitch by allowing Josh to get to this point. Maybe it’s partially on the shoulder injury? 🤷🏻‍♂️ but they’ve got a couple weeks to figure it out.

Yeah they are. I’m not saying they’re bad, but I don’t think I’d qualify them as “good” this season. Jmo and look ahead to the rest of the season…..much of the same. Dallas and NO would be the only defenses I’d consider good

True. He’s only played 2 good defenses all season imo, KC and Baltimore. Scored 21 vs KC without Chris jones and got shut down by Baltimore. I enjoy his play design and most results, but we also don’t have his OL, so that could change things drastically
