  1. Free speech. . . . . . . . Right ? It appears this video has been taken down from some tweets, so we have added another tweet that captures Leal's celebration below.] https://twitchy.com/grateful-calvin/2024/07/29/brazilian-skateboarder-shares-profound-message-via-sign-language-after-winning-olympic-bronze-n2398978
  2. Venezuelan Dictator Nicolas Maduro was declared the "winner" of the presidential election by the nation's election council on Monday morning. That came after exit polls showed him losing by as much as 30 points. Reports of Maduro's armed thugs closing down polling sites and stealing ballot boxes were prevalent throughout the process, all but confirming that the election was indeed stolen. What happens next is clear. Maduro will strengthen his grip on power instead of stepping down peacefully. As the saying goes, you can vote your way into socialism, but you have to shoot your way out. While this outcome was apparent to anyone with any common sense, Kamala Harris and Joe Biden had different ideas. While the press will no doubt bury the story, the current administration was at the center of this fraudulent election, having handed Maduro sanctions relief in exchange for "free and fair elections." https://redstate.com/bonchie/2024/07/29/venezuelas-election-was-just-stolen-and-biden-harris-were-at-the-center-of-it-n2177490 .
  3. You really can’t hate the Washington Post’s coverage of the Middle East enough. The Post did not have a headline yesterday about the murder of 12 kids on a soccer field by Hezbollah. Today it has this headline, focusing on Israel’s “response,” with a picture that implies if you don’t look carefully that Israel killed the kid in the photo. Meanwhile, even though every Western government acknowledges that Hezbollah was responsible for the rocket that killed the kids playing soccer, the Post caption suggests that we might want to believe the Iranian-backed terrorist group’s denial. https://instapundit.com/663693/
  4. Harris Says 'I Will Not Be Silent' About Dead Kids in Gaza War — Unless They're Israeli Kids STEPHEN GREEN Democrat presidential nominee-apparent Kamala Harris said last week she "will not be silent" about suffering children in Gaza, while practically ordering Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to stand down in a one-sided ceasefire deal with Hamas terrorists. That was Thursday. On Saturday, in the north of Israel, a Hezbollah rocket launched from Lebanon struck a sports complex filled with children playing soccer, killing 11 children and wounding about 30 more. According to IDF spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari, it was the deadliest single attack on Israel since the Hamas terror invasion of Oct. 7 that left 1,200 dead and more than 200 kidnapped. The silence from Kamala Harris is deafening. Her national security adviser, Phil Gordon, released a brief written statement on Sunday, saying, "Israel continues to face severe threats to its security, and the Vice President’s support for Israel’s security is ironclad." Gordon concluded with yet another reminder that Harris prefers to end the war diplomatically, even though Hamas would never uphold such a bargain. "The U.S. will continue working on a diplomatic solution to end all attacks once and for all, and allow citizens on both sides of the border to safely return home." https://pjmedia.com/vodkapundit/2024/07/29/harris-says-i-will-not-be-silent-about-dead-kids-in-gaza-war-unless-theyre-israeli-kids-n4931148

  7. The lamest lame duck executive seeks to meddle with the judicial branch. Having faltered and fallen in his own lane, Joe Biden seems to think his view of the Supreme Court might matter. I'm seeing "Opinion/Joe Biden: My plan to reform the Supreme Court and ensure no president is above the law/We can and must prevent the abuse of presidential power and restore the public’s faith in our judicial system" (WaPo). https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2024/07/29/joe-biden-reform-supreme-court-presidential-immunity-plan-announcement/?
  8. "You might recall the epic 2008 Beijing opening ceremony, which showcased the four great Chinese inventions: the compass, gunpowder, paper, and typesetting." "This one in Paris, put up last Friday, celebrated analogous French contributions like threesomes, the Minions franchise, and dressing like a clown...." Begins Suzy Weiss, in "Was the Opening Ceremony Demonic, or Just Cringe? Don’t feel bad for Christians—feel bad for the French" https://www.thefp.com/p/was-the-opening-ceremony-demonic Very well put.
  9. About That Kamala Harris Ad Issues & Insights, by The Editorial Board Kamala Harris’ first presidential campaign ad focuses on “freedom.” This might be the most absurd political claim in our lifetimes. The Democratic Party is not interested in liberty. It is concerned with nothing more than expanding its power. When Harris says in her ad “We choose freedom,” what liberties is she referring to? She never says. Because she can’t. She mentions a few examples – the freedom to “get ahead” and to “be safe from gun violence” – and both are meaningless. The first “freedoms” is part of our American DNA. What has kept people from getting ahead is a federal, state, and local government framework, whose foundation was laid by Democrat Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal, then reinforced in the mid-1960s by Democrat Lyndon Johnson’s war on poverty. It is a leviathan that intrudes remorselessly into private matters and over-regulates what should be the free flow of commerce. Can Harris or any of her defenders point to a single example in which she has fought for deregulation to help Americans “get ahead”? For authentic economic liberty? For individualism? For freedom from government? The second is simply nonsensical in terms of liberty. True freedom is independence, unrestricted choice to live our lives as we wish without violating the freedom of others, the absence of government interference. And how can this freedom from gun violence be provided for anyway? This is especially curious coming from someone who has supported defunding the police. So maybe she’s talking about shredding the Second Amendment? Well of course she is. https://issuesinsights.com/2024/07/29/about-that-kamala-harris-ad/
