  1. Yesterday Christina Pushaw lit up the Daily Beast over their story alleging that Florida Gov. DeSantis has a “secret Twitter army of far-right influencers.” The media shredding continued today after Politico put out this story: Every Republican working in politics should take note of how Pushaw effectively dismantles media hackery, and this Politico story is no exception: Being “intentionally misleading” is what too many people who call themselves journalists these days consider to be their primary duty as a reporter. The dermatologist mentioned in the Politico story also took issue with the article:
  2. If you follow the news, you’ve probably heard that the United States is sending 31 Abrams tanks over to Ukraine. That’s part of a multi-country transfer that includes Leopard tanks from Germany as well. For some reason, Joe Biden felt the need to meander out the podium to announce the move. He really shouldn’t have. He had a whale of a time trying to get through his prepared remarks. Watching him speak is like watching a chimpanzee on crack try to balance a plate on its head. The president has a knack for making even the most basic things seem difficult. In this case, while delivering extremely important remarks on foreign policy, he manages to accuse Ukraine of “brutal aggression.” But like most of these clips of Biden, you really have to watch them to get the full effect. After his misspeak, he seems to tail off physically. What is up with his eyes? I know he’s a nearly 80-year-old man, but they are the size of raisins and show no white. He also just seems tired to the extreme, doesn’t he? Perhaps the drug cocktail he no doubt receives every morning hadn’t kicked in yet? As expected, Biden wasn’t done yet, though (how many times have I typed that over the years?). While the above flub could have been brushed aside, he then fully melted down trying to address Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin. This is a “mistake” that Biden has made multiple times over the years (see here and here). Apparently, it’s really difficult for a President of the United States to remember the name and the appointed position of what should be one of his closest cabinet members. Could it be because he’s just a figurehead that doesn’t actually lead his administration? Nah, couldn’t be. That’s just crazy talk on my part. https://redstate.com/bonchie/2023/01/25/joe-biden-has-a-whale-of-a-time-trying-to-explain-the-latest-aid-to-ukraine-n693690
  3. Dave Chappelle Says out Loud What Absolutely Everyone Is Thinking About Trans Activists FTA: Having the show canceled at one venue and moved to another didn’t bring satisfaction to the rage mob, so they showed up at the replacement hall and harassed show-goers, as they lined up outside before the doors opened. Chappelle said the wokesters, “grown people of various genders and gender identities,” threw eggs at his audience, who didn’t seem intimidated at all by the spectacle. In fact, Chappelle recalls one lady waiting to see his show picked up a police barricade and tossed it at the egg throwers. This is what Woke, Inc., does. They arrive in droves, often at the direction of bad actors like Antifa and BLM, and pick on the innocent bystanders in an effort to intimidate and stifle free speech. This is not lost on Dave Chappelle, who said of his audience: “I don’t think anyone had any malicious intent. In fact, one of the things that these people, the trans and their surrogates, always say is that my jokes are somehow gonna be the root cause of some impending violence that they feel like is inevitable for my jokes,” he continued. “But I gotta tell you, as abrasive as they were, the way they were protesting, throwing eggs at people, throwing barricades, cussing and screaming, [none of my fans] beat ‘em up. In fact, the people in the crowd would just say, ‘We love you. Like what are you talking about?’” For those keeping score at home, the free speech-loving audience members, though being attacked with eggs by the permanently disgruntled, showed nothing but love to their attackers. Minus the barricade-throwing lady, but can you really blame her for taking matters, literally, into her own hands? Where Chappelle really gets it right is when he said of the protesters: most were “just sticking to the playbook: we’re here to stir s*** up. He continued, “I feel like they wanted me to say something inflammatory … in a weird way, I think some of them had the intention of inciting violence against themselves for publicity. Like they were doing things that a regular n*****, I’m telling you, would knock one of these people out.” Ding, ding, ding! He’s exactly right. These kinds of protests by the radical trans lobby are nothing more than performance art and they always pick on a group they know won’t fight back (again, minus our barricade-throwing heroine). They are absolute phonies trying to stir up trouble where there isn’t any. It’s just the left being the left — the supply of legitimate anti-trans crimes doesn’t come close to meeting their insatiable demand, so they try to create it by taunting people not looking for a fight. Their hope, of course, is that someone will finally snap and fight back, thus they’ll be able to make the the claim that the trans community is being victimized. Unfortunately for the perma-woke, Dave Chappelle’s got their number and he’s not afraid to say what we’re all thinking: Their ultimate goal is to garner publicity and to create controversy where there isn’t any — and it’s a tired schtick that’s long since run its course. https://redstate.com/terichristoph/2023/01/25/dave-chappelle-says-out-loud-what-absolutely-everyone-is-thinking-about-trans-activists-n693828
  4. Meanwhile. It was about as sane a statement as one can expect from the ACLU these days, but while they got it right for a change, their rabid Leftist supporters did not see it that way. (multiple examples at the link:https://redstate.com/sister-toldjah/2023/01/26/hilarious-gnashing-of-teeth-begins-after-aclu-shocks-with-sane-statement-on-trumps-fb-reinstatement-n694096) In other words, the state of how things are with the modern left is not good, like at all. Not that that is exactly shocking news to most of us, but it’s worth documenting just for the record all the same.
  5. Again with the "Lumping ALL Republicans" response That, my friend is your projection. You made the broad indefensible original statement. I believe that this still applies.
  6. Fine. The same response holds. The shooter was not a liberal, neither does anything in his background make him a MAGA supporter. The accused was identified as Anderson Lee Aldrich, a 22-year-old resident of Colorado Springs.[34] Aldrich was born Nicholas Franklin Brink on May 20, 2000, in San Diego, California, to Aaron Brink, a former pornographic film actor and mixed martial arts fighter, and Laura Voepel, the daughter of Randy Voepel, an outgoing member of the California State Assembly and a former mayor of Santee, California.[35][36][37][38] Voepel and Brink separated and divorced one year after Aldrich's birth; while Voepel went on to receive custody over Aldrich, her tumultuous life – which included multiple arrests and mental health evaluations – resulted in Aldrich being cared for by Voepel's mother who eventually became Aldrich's legal guardian.[39][40][41] Aldrich grew up in northern San Antonio, Texas, and is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, though has not been involved in church services for at least a decade.[42][43][44] Records indicate that Aldrich was a target of online bullying that involved homophobic taunts while in middle school.[37][45][46] Aldrich changed names on April 28, 2016, shortly before turning 16, citing a desire to remove associations with Aaron Brink, who by that point had multiple criminal convictions.[37][41] Twice before the 2021 incident Aldrich had been reported to Colorado Police for "escalating homicidal behavior."[53] On June 17, 2021, Aldrich's grand-aunt contacted the Federal Bureau of Investigation to report Aldrich was planning to kill Christians and government employees, after Aldrich's grandfather had reported being threatened by Aldrich; however, the family did not press charges with local police.[46][57] There is no record that law enforcement authorities or Aldrich's relatives attempted to trigger the Colorado red flag law, which might have allowed for the seizure of any weapons and ammunition that Aldrich possessed.[13] Aldrich and Laura Voepel had conflicts with passengers and crew during a July 2022 flight from California to Colorado. They were accused of harassing others while aboard the plane, and insulting some with racial slurs. After deplaning, Aldrich was filmed saying to another passenger: "I wish I can shoot all of you" and "You keep following me and I'm going to ***** you up."[58] Despite this the Media/Left tried (and failed) to connect his actions with "Right Wing" commentators speaking out against drag shows. Typical.
  7. No danger of any bureaucrats or elected officials who pushed lockdown being included in those numbers though. They all kept their six-figure jobs.
  8. Do You Trust the Integrity of Our Elections? If Not, Here Are the Steps We Must Take By Joe Fried There may have been cheating in the 2022 midterm election, in the view of 57 percent of people recently surveyed by Rasmussen. In that same survey of 1,000 likely voters, 30 percent indicated that cheating was likely. That’s where I fit in: the 30 percent group. To restore faith in our elections, we need to take some simple but controversial steps: A national standard Many people, especially Republicans, oppose the idea of a national standard because they see this it a “states rights” issue. On the other hand, most Democrats are eager to have a national standard— but their idea of a standard is more like a plan for election organized crime. How long would it take for the United States to become a fascist nation if we were to adopt some of the ideas that were recently offered in the “For the People Act,” the “John Lewis Voting Rights Act,” and/or the “Freedom to Vote Act”? Democrats have proposed... complete legalization of ballot harvesting so that a ballot could be submitted, on your behalf, by paid operatives. automatic voter registration for all adults (with no verification of citizenship). universal ability to vote by mail, for any reason. no voter ID requirement in states that choose not to have one. States that already have an ID requirement would be forced to weaken it by accepting a broad array of documents, including copies of utility bills or sworn statements (in lieu of ID). voting by convicted felons, unless they happen to be in prison on the day of the election. a ban on post-election independent audits, such as the Arizona Senate audit of Maricopa County’s 2020 election. Only “official” audits would be allowed. The proposals (above) are truly scary, and this may be the reason for GOP opposition to any national standard. However, a country-wide standard is essential. We can no longer allow some states to cheat by allowing non-citizens to votes, or by allowing political operatives to cast votes on behalf of unsuspecting residents. That is why we need a national baseline of a few essential voting requirements, such as these: A ban on ballot harvesting, with a few limited exceptions for spouses or for people with disabilities A hard ID requirement— preferably with photos Mandatory citizenship verification when a person registers for the first time A uniform national Election Day cutoff for voting State standards At the state level there are several other actions that could improve the integrity of our elections: There should be a ban on the use of private funding for the administration of elections (no more “Zuckerbucks”). Registration lists must be updated continuously, and people should be removed when they stop voting in elections. When multiple people register at the same address, extra verification is required. (There have been instances of hundreds of people voting from a single parking lot, commercial building, etc.) Mail voting should be allowed, but only for people with legitimate reasons, such as travel or disability. Drop boxes should be legal, but only if they are in secure areas, monitored with video, and fairly distributed to all areas of the state. Partisan observers are an important part of election integrity and security. When ballots and ballot envelopes are processed, Republican and Democrat representatives should be given close access so they can monitor the processes. Their comments and objections should be recorded so that follow-up action can be taken. There should be severe penalties imposed when observers are harassed, as was the case in Detroit and other locations. (See Debunked? pages 152-54.) Immediately after each federal election, independent auditors should commence limited procedures (not just counting) to ensure the integrity of close elections. Testing should be performed on a sample basis, to keep costs low. Specific items tested should be selected on a “surprise” basis. All voters should be able to determine, via the internet, that their votes were tabulated. Documents that are not confidential should be posted online. States should have law enforcement dedicated to investigating election complaints. Florida provides a model. https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2023/01/do_you_trust_the_integrity_of_our_elections_if_not_here_are_the_steps_we_must_take.html
  9. More on this book. What Part of the Second Amendment Don’t You Understand? That’s the question posed by award-winning, New York Times bestselling author, and professional firearms instructor, Larry Correia. Bringing with him the practical experience that comes from having owned a high-end gun store—catering largely to law enforcement—and as a competitive shooter and self-defense trainer, Correia blasts apart the emotion-laden, logic-free rhetoric of the gun control fanatics who turn every “mass shooting” into a crazed call for violating your rights, abusing the Constitution—and doing absolutely nothing to really fight crime. In his essential new book, In Defense of the Second Amendment, Correia reveals: Why “gun-free” zones are more dangerous for law-abiding citizens How the Second Amendment does indeed include your right to own an AR-15—and why that’s not an “outdated” concept Why “red flag” laws don’t work, can be easily abused, and ignore a much more commonsensical approach to keeping guns out of the wrong hands The insanity of “criminal justice reform” that frees dangerous criminals and “gun reform” that penalizes your right to self-defense How we can return to a society that has a safe and healthy relationship with guns—as we had for most of our history Correia’s promise: “Believe me, I’ve heard every argument relating to gun control possible. I can show you how to defend your rights.” https://instapundit.com/566205/
  10. For Lord's sake, back to the thread. JIM GERAGHTY: The Stray Voltage of George Santos. Way, way back in the mid 2010s — a pre-Trump era that might as well be ancient history in U.S. politics — the Obama administration deployed the communications strategy of “stray voltage.” Major Garrett of CBS News laid out the approach in 2014: This is the White House theory of “Stray Voltage.” It is the brainchild of former White House Senior Adviser David Plouffe, whose methods loom large long after his departure. The theory goes like this: Controversy sparks attention, attention provokes conversation, and conversation embeds previously unknown or marginalized ideas in the public consciousness. This happens, Plouffe theorizes, even when–and sometimes especially when–the White House appears defensive, besieged, or off-guard. . . . As a theory, “stray voltage” exists in a kind of strategic void. It can’t be dismissed or embraced as workable because creating controversy for the sake of controversy is, well, achievable. Like getting soup from the White House mess. It’s also self-reinforcing and internally didactic. Everyone looks around and says, “See. There’s controversy. It’s working.” * * * * * * * * But you can see why Kevin McCarthy might find it worthwhile to let the gears of the consequences for Santos turn slowly. A Washington press corps that is obsessed with Santos’s incessant lying and potentially shady connections isn’t spending as much time insisting that the House GOP is the root of all evil. Sooner or later, the consequences of Santos’s voluminous deceptions will catch up to him. But between now and then, he’s a glasses-wearing, nervous-looking lightning rod, and the more lightning that strikes him, the less there is to strike the rest of the GOP House majority. Santos is also a daily reminder that he’s far from the only DC politician with plenty of lies on his CV:
  11. Team Biden stonewalling Senate Committee on seeing secret docs Biden purloined, and even Democrats outraged by Thomas Lifson Let’s cut to the chase: Did Joe Biden remove classified documents from the National Archives that would incriminate him in the influence peddling racket he and his family were running? That’s the most important question about them, and that’s probably why the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) is being stonewalled in their demand to see them. All members of the SSCI have high level security clearances and are considered able to see them. (snip) The fact that Democrats are joining Republicans in their outrage would seem to indicate that the party consensus is that Biden needs to go before he torpedoes the 2024 presidential and congressional election https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2023/01/team_biden_stonewalling_senate_committee_on_seeing_secret_docs_biden_purloined_and_even_dems_outraged.html .
  12. Another blow to the socialist left. Iowa Gov Kim Reynolds signs historic school choice bill: 'We will fund students not systems by Joshua Q. Nelson Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds signed an unprecedented school choice bill called the Students First Act on Tuesday, allowing any Iowa student to use public money to pay for private school tuition or other expenses. "For the first time, we will fund students not systems!" Reynolds said on Twitter. "Parents, not the government, can now choose the education setting best suited to their child regardless of their income or zip code. Iowa has affirmed that educational freedom belongs to all!" After the Students First Act was passed, Iowa is now the third state to pass a school choice measure that expands to every student in the state. https://www.foxnews.com/media/iowa-gov-kim-reynolds-signs-historic-school-choice-bill-we-will-fund-students-not-systems
  13. I really think that this is simple. We won 14 games this year with an 'average' offensive line (generous description) We HAVE several good skill players. If you can draft, trade, or free agent an offensive line that gives Josh Allen a few more seconds, we win it all. THAT is where the Bills emphasis should be. .
  14. Did we "look on with concern ? I just assumed we just called anyone who pointed it out "Putin Supporters"

  16. No he was not. (I assume that you mean the Pulse Club shooting, seems like you should know that much.) Nor was he a MAGA supporter or a Christian Anti-gay extremists (as implied by you and the media) Perpetrator The gunman was identified as 29-year-old Omar Mateen,[96] an American born in New Hyde Park, New York.[97][98] His parents were Afghan, and he was raised Muslim.[99] At the time of the shooting, he lived in an apartment complex in Fort Pierce, Florida, 117 mi (188 km) from the Pulse nightclub in Orlando. Motive In the hours before the shooting, Mateen used several Facebook accounts to write posts vowing vengeance for American airstrikes in Iraq and Syria and to search for content related to terrorism. These posts, since deleted, were recovered and included in an open letter[126] by Senate Homeland Security Chairman Ron Johnson to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg seeking further information about Mateen's use of the site.[127][128][129] During the shooting, Mateen made a 9-1-1 call claiming it was an act of retaliation for the airstrike killing of, among others, ISIS militant Abu Waheeb in the previous month. He told the negotiator to tell America to stop the bombing.[50][130] Despite numerous anonymous and named reports of LGBTQ connections,[131][132][133][134][135] the FBI was unable to verify any claims that Mateen was homosexual or frequented gay bars or even knew the Pulse nightclub was a gay bar.
  17. Laughable response. It says so much about you, not others History is still being taught, sins and all, just as always. But the recent propaganda push has been exposed. ADDED: Please note how his "doesn't look like them" nonsense, shows his biased belief that African Americans, Asians, Latinos and everyone else can't be Republicans. Bigotry at it's basest. .
  18. Repetition of the Lie, does NOT make it true. . . . . . . . . . at least to adults. (that's all I'm saying) Finally we agree. That's ALL that you keep saying, irregardless of the thread. 😂 .

  21. Pfizer Introduces New Mascot 'Clotty' HEALTH·Jan 25, 2023 · BabylonBee.com NEW YORK, NY — Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer has unveiled their new mascot, an adorable glob of platelets who goes by the name "Clotty". "See? Blood clots aren't scary!" said Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla as a smiling Clotty danced onto the stage. "Welcome to Pfizer, Clotty! Let's get one of these little guys into every home in America!" While Pfizer initially pushed back against evidence tying the vaccine to blood clots, the company has decided to instead embrace it. "We are so excited for Clotty to help us put a friendly face on heart attacks and strokes," said Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla. "Every new COVID booster will now come with a plush Clotty doll you can take to the hospital when you inevitably get admitted with a massive embolus. You'll love squeezing Clotty while they wheel you into the cath lab! Thanks, Clotty!" The new mascot's reception has thus far been overwhelmingly positive, with Clotty paraphernalia already showing up in several politicians' offices. "Gosh darn it, I love the little guy," said Senator Elizabeth Warren, sporting a Clotty t-shirt as she adjusted a picture of her and Clotty. "Every child in America should be so lucky as to have one of these precious little blood clots. I will continue to do everything in my power to make it happen." At publishing time, Donald Trump had reportedly added Clotty to his list of potential running mates. https://babylonbee.com/news/pfizer-introduces-new-mascot-clotty
  22. First off, thank you for a real answer. Secondly after reading it, this particular author seems to be doing the usual pattern of supposition about the insane ramblings of a (thankfully) small minority. He does provide multiple examples which is good, but none of them could remotely be described as major players in the conservative movement or the GOP. As many here correctly point out there are nuts on both sides. So, this attempt to connect body double doofuses with those who have pointed out actual problems with the government (over) response to Covid is weak at best (as seen by it's proponents here ChiGoose and Kemp.)
