  1. Doctor Who Tried to Save Ashli Babbitt Slapped With Felonies, Other Charges for Participation in Capitol Riot by Mike Miller A California doctor who treated mortally wounded Ashli Babbitt after she was shot inside the U.S. Capitol Building on January 6, 2021, as she and others tried to gain access to the House Chamber, has been arrested by the FBI for his own alleged activity at the Capitol on that fateful day. As reported by the Daily Beast, Dr. Austin Harris, a board-certified cardiothoracic anesthesiologist from Southern California is facing both federal felony and misdemeanor charges related to the riot. Harris was arrested on Jan. 25 in Van Nuys, and charged in a federal criminal complaint with “knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted building or grounds without authority”, and “disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds” — both felonies with sentences of up to 10 years in prison — and two charges of “disorderly conduct, parading, demonstrating, or picketing in the Capitol building,” both misdemeanors. As reported: Harris treated Babbitt’s gunshot wound for four minutes after U.S. Capitol Police Lt. Michael Byrd shot her at about 2:45 p.m. that day. When Babbitt fell from the window frame she was climbing into, Harris stepped forward from the hallway crowd to provide aid. A video journalist with medic training also tended to Babbitt before police drove both men from the hallway outside of the Speaker’s Lobby. Harris was on his knees checking Babbitt’s upper chest wound when a U.S. Capitol Police bicycle officer reached down and grabbed him by the shoulders. The officer wrestled Harris away from Babbitt, grabbed him by the jacket, and shoved him down the hallway. {snip} While it’s ironic that the doctor who tried to save Ashli Babbitt’s life has now been slapped with multiple federal charges for his own alleged participation, the “coincidence” isn’t relevant. What is relevant, along with multiple other Jan. 6 cases, is why it took more than two years to file those charges. https://redstate.com/mike_miller/2023/01/28/doctor-who-tried-to-save-ashli-babbitt-slapped-with-felonies-other-charges-for-participation-in-capitol-riot-n695449 .
  2. Brief Update Re The Rand Report by Mark Wauck In the previous post, What's Behind The Talk Of Negotiations? we devoted a fair amount of space to the new study that was published by the Rand Corporation. The study focused on a cost/benefit analysis for America in a protracted war with Russia. (snip) It was framed as helping Ukraine resist “unprovoked” aggression from Russia—as if there was no pre-history to this war, as if NATO had not been actively promoting economic and political warfare against Russia with Ukraine as a proxy. In fact, it appears likely that an eventual Russian military response was exactly what NATO desired, https://meaninginhistory.substack.com/p/brief-update-re-the-rand-report?utm_source=post-email-title&publication_id=473679&post_id=99453194&isFreemail=true&utm_medium=email
  3. For those of you who need the 'assist' NOTES ON THE TWITTER FILES (15) https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2023/01/notes-on-the-twitter-files-15.php (Multiple links in the original article.) Taibbi’s thread addresses the Hamilton 68 “dashboard” fronted by Clint Watts and the Alliance for Securing Democracy. Good grief! Even the name of the organization is a giveaway. The “dashboard” purported to identify malign Russian influence on Twitter. The Hamilton 68 story is a subplot in the Russia! Russia! Russia! hoax. Twitter executives themselves quickly sussed out the “dashboard” as complete and utter “bull####.” See tweets 2-5, 10-21, 25, & 34-36 in Taibbi’s thread. Taibbi himself declares in 15: “It was a scam.” And in tweet 32: “It was a lie.” Yet for public purposes Twitter remained passive and silent.
  4. STANDING UP TO THE LEFTIST MOB Several years ago, I saw a cartoon that went something like this: a liberal college administrator tells a conservative speaker that his event is being canceled because there have been threats of violence. The conservative asks, who are the threats coming from? and the liberal administrator answers, “Us.” This is, in fact, one of the Left’s favorite ploys to shut down conservative speech. It happened at Florida’s New College last week. As we wrote here, New College of Florida is a tiny, failing far-left public school that Governor DeSantis has set out to save by appointing Christopher Rufo and other conservatives to the school’s board of trustees, with a view toward making New College the “Hillsdale of the South.” You can imagine how the college’s far-left administrators and faculty feel about that. So Chris Rufo and other conservative trustees scheduled an open meeting at New College: A meeting open to all is anathema to the Left, so the inevitable death threats followed. The Federalist has the story, via InstaPundit. The climactic moment came when New College’s Provost, Suzanne Sherman, demanded that the event be shut down and encouraged students not to attend. The excuse was a “credible” death threat against conservative trustee Eddie Speir, who of course wanted to go forward. Rufo has the tape: The open meeting went forward, and needless to say, no one was murdered. If an anonymous threatening email is enough to shut down any public event, then our public life will speedily grind to a halt at the hands of liberals. Kudos to Chris Rufo and his fellow trustees, and to Ron DeSantis for appointing them. This incident is a reminder of how little courage it actually takes to confront and defeat the forces of intolerance. https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2023/01/308970.php

  6. As I have noted before, that First Lady Jill Biden frequently plays director and Shover-in-Chief for supposed leader of the free world Joe Biden, when he appears lost and/or confused during public speaking engagements, is not new news. But recent instances where “Dr.” Jill stepped in to run interference for Joe Biden in the midst of his classified documents scandal have put a finer point on Jill Biden’s sometimes domineering hold over Joe, at a time when the POTUS, who has faced questions throughout his presidency about his mental fitness to lead, hasn’t officially declared that he’s running for reelection–though rumors are swirling that he’ll do just that sometime in February. They occurred Thursday during an AAPI Lunar New Year event at the White House. We touched on what happened at the time, but I wanted to revisit the issue because the symbolism was just eye-opening. As Biden leaves the event, a reporter shouts a question at him; that’s one of the only ways they have left to reach the president, since he holds so few solo press conferences. He looks around, confused, but Jill Biden steps in and shoos the reporter away, while guiding Joe Biden away from actually having to interact with a member of the media: She claps her hands to get his attention. . . . . . . . . . . . . like a toddler. https://redstate.com/sister-toldjah/2023/01/28/dr-jills-latest-actions-confirm-all-is-not-well-in-the-biden-white-house-n694980 .
  7. Nope. Nothing to see here. Border Patrol agents in the Swanton Sector, which includes all of Vermont, in the first three months of fiscal 2023 apprehended more foreign nationals entering the country illegally than they did in the past two fiscal years combined, according to sector chief Robert Garcia. https://justthenews.com/nation/states/center-square/vermont-border-patrol-apprehensions-first-3-months-fiscal-2023 .
  8. FTA: We wouldn’t have known much about this except for the courageous action of Elon Musk, who everyone thought overpaid to acquire Twitter — $44 billion of the crispest — but who has been demonstrating almost daily that the deal was cheap at the price. The journalists he has given access to Twitter’s files — including Bari Weiss, Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger — have ripped the putrid bandage off a suppurating orifice of deception, lies and politicized interference. Glenn Greenwald provided a meticulously researched summary of that assault on his internet video show “System Update.” The episode in question exposes the FBI’s “propaganda partnership with Twitter.” Senior Twitter officials, Greenwald shows, met regularly with what amounted to FBI handlers. In the end, they “degraded Twitter into little more than a full-on Democratic Party activist machine, all while lying to the public about its function. This was a massive public fraud and 2020 election interference.” Swirl that around in your mouth before swallowing: “a massive public fraud and 2020 election interference.” Forget about people screaming that you are a “conspiracy theorist” disseminating “disinformation.” In truth, you are acting as a documentary reporter. https://www.zerohedge.com/political/actions-fbi-cia-leave-us-our-own-truman-show .
  9. Way too long, and too intelligent, for many of our usual posters. . . . . . . here is part. The Biden Autocracy Kenin M. Spivak This administration routinely disregards the Constitution, federal statutes, and republican norms. When he introduced Kevin McCarthy as the new Speaker of the House, Democrat Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries recited a series of mean-spirited comparisons for each letter of the alphabet. His first was a promise that Democrats would put “American values over autocracy.” In the midterm campaign, President Joe Biden claimed the election of Republicans would end democracy. Former President Barack Obama referred to a Republican victory as the end of “true democracy.” Democrats support their demagoguing with a broad-brush smear that Republicans are racist, and the canard that voting rules equate to voter suppression. They charge, without evidence, that the Trump administration repeatedly exceeded its authority, and scapegoat all Republicans by the imprudent actions on January 6, 2021 of about one out of every 75,000 Trump voters. Under cover of this onslaught, Biden has become the most autocratic president in at least 50 years. Justified by the fallacy that authoritarianism on behalf of so-called equity (i.e., racism) and other progressive causes is democratic (small “d”), and emboldened by the progressive echo chamber, the Biden administration pursues its left-wing agenda with smug indifference to bedrock rules of American jurisprudence and governance. To suppress opposition to Biden’s unconstitutional and unlawful acts, government and other progressives seek to cleanse vocabulary and the public square of their utility, vilify and punish those who do not acquiesce, and foster corrupt (and unconstitutional) alliances with media and Big Tech that silence the opposition. Americans are justifiably afraid to speak out under the yoke of a weaponized Justice department, and intolerant school boards, universities, and professional organizations with the power to suspend and disbar, such as the American Medical Association and American Bar Association. {snip} Courts have consistently ruled against the administration’s racial agenda. In June 2021, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals declared unconstitutional the provisions of ARP for distributing COVID-relief by race and sex. An ARP program that allocates debt relief based on race and excludes white farmers has been enjoined by numerous courts, though the government has obtained stays in enforcement. More than a dozen other lawsuits are pending against Biden’s DEI programs Yet, the Biden administration shows no sign of relenting. In accordance with Biden’s executive orders, at least 140 agencies have announced they are developing action plans to prioritize race in their mission. We live in a democracy with three branches of government. When the executive branch knowingly disregards the Constitution and federal law the remedies are largely confined to expensive, protracted litigation, and impeachment, conviction, and removal, as provided for in the Constitution. Litigation is cumbersome, and Biden has generally evaded adverse decisions by slow-walking compliance, and issuing new, similar orders. Impeachment and conviction are impracticable given the small Republican majority in the House, Democrat control of the Senate, and the chilling fact that Kamala Harris is next. With America’s elite institutions, the media, and a majority in the Senate aligning to excuse and even encourage growing autocratic overreach, including censorship and violent DOJ attacks on citizens exercising their Constitutional rights to petition Government and express their views, they create the circumstances in which progressive bogeymen may become real. https://americanmind.org/salvo/the-biden-autocracy/
  10. #28 makes your jaw drop. little wonder that the apologists here think that the created main stream narrative is the truth. 28.What makes this an important story is the sheer scale of the news footprint left by Hamilton 68’s digital McCarthyism. The quantity of headlines and TV segments dwarfs the impact of individual fabulists like Jayson Blair or Stephen Glass. Click to enlarge .
  11. Column: Time for truth and reconciliation on the Russia collusion hoax BY MICHAEL BARONE Jan 22, 2023 What are “the major problems this country faces”? Writing in The Atlantic, New York Times columnist David Brooks leads off his list with “inequality, political polarization, social mistrust” before concluding with the inevitable “climate change.” Today’s “inequality,” he notes, is as “savage” as the inequality in the 1890s. That was a decade in which the U.S. didn’t have much of a welfare state safety net. Today, it does. As Phil Gramm and his two co-authors point out in “The Myth of American Inequality,” government transfer programs have produced nearly equal incomes for the bottom 60% of earners and have all but eliminated poverty. That doesn’t sound very “savage.” Brooks also notes recent real income gains, citing American Enterprise Institute economist Michael Strain, and writes that “recent administrations have moved to redistribute wealth downward.” He evidently omitted recent presidents’ names, lest he credit former President Donald Trump with a positive accomplishment and cause apoplexy among Atlantic readers. (snip) They’re right to blame Trump and many of his supporters for claiming (inaccurately, as The New York Times and other publications invariably and correctly note) that the 2020 election was stolen and that the country would be better off if they confessed error and asked forgiveness. But the country would be better off if Brooks’ employer and colleagues and their many readers would also confess error and seek forgiveness themselves for the persistent election denial of leading Democrats, including the party’s new leader in the House of Representatives, going back to 2000 and very much including 2016. They should also seek forgiveness for a byproduct of that election denial, the Russia collusion hoax. This conspiracy theory, concocted by the Hillary Clinton campaign, was aided and abetted by leaders of the FBI and intelligence agencies, advanced by lies and misrepresentations by congressional Democrats, and reported with relish and credulity by much of the media. Something in the nature of an admission of error came belatedly from New York Times executive editor Dean Baquet in August 2019, according to a transcript of a meeting with angry reporters and editors. Baquet said the paper was “a little tiny bit flat-footed” when special counsel Robert Mueller ended his investigation without confirming Democrats’ constant charges of collusion with Russia. Those on Brooks’ side have constantly made the valid point that Trump’s election denials poison the political atmosphere and cast doubt on the legitimacy of the government’s leaders. Exactly the same valid point can be made about those on his side for their election denial and promotion of the Russia collusion hoax. They made governance more difficult for an administration headed by an unusually erratic and unusually inexperienced president. In so doing, they made the country suffer. It’s time for them, as it has been time for Trump, to confess error and apologize. Are you game, David? https://richmond.com/opinion/columnists/column-time-for-truth-and-reconciliation-on-the-russia-collusion-hoax/article_5072f9ec-990a-11ed-9599-af10353c2283.html
  12. You really are this dense aren’t you ? We aren’t talking about “sports leagues” All high school students have to have medical clearance to play. IF YOU HAD ACTUALLY READ any article about this past the headline you would see that this involves the Florida High School Athletic Administration requesting voluntary information from the female athletes to try and help them better serve their needs in the future. Funny how you and others blindly support school administration decisions with everything else, but if you can turn it into a nonsensical attack on Ron Desantis, well that’s different. Go ahead, claim that you don’t understand again. .
  13. Schumer lies ? Say it aint so. Chuck Schumer Get Nailed for Lying by Twitter, Then Elon Joins In By Nick Arama Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) was on Twitter already spreading lies about a “Fair Tax” that has been floating around. It’s not even clear that Republicans are on board with the proposal, but that didn’t stop Schumer from lying about it. So many things wrong there, where to begin? It’s the Democrats refusing to negotiate to address the debt ceiling. They just want to keep spending us into oblivion and ignoring the point of having a “debt ceiling” to begin with. Then the tax proposal isn’t a “national sales tax on EVERYTHING”; it’s a sales tax on new products and it’s combined with eliminating the income tax, payroll tax, estate tax, and the IRS, which means you would get to keep 100 percent of your money. Then as some already explained it’s not 30 percent, it’s 23 percent, at least according to one proposal, as even Joe Biden acknowledged. There are also rebates for family size and poverty. Now there are positives and negatives to the idea, it would likely be better to go with just a flat tax rather than a change to the national sales tax. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has already said he’s not for it, yet that isn’t stopping Schumer and the Democrats from lying about the Republican positions. Tax reduction advocate Grover Norquist called out Schumer’s lies. But this is all about Democrats deflecting from addressing their profligate spending and negotiating the debt ceiling. It’s about spinning an attack and refusing to come to the table to reduce spending. They just want to keep spending and hiking inflation higher. Then Twitter owner Elon Musk weighed in, cutting right through Schumer’s bull and nailing him on what this was all about. He pointed Schumer to McCarthy’s call for negotiation on the debt ceiling, “May I suggest a DM chat?” Elon Musk, like most Americans, wants Democrats to take spending seriously. But Schumer doesn’t want to concentrate on that because that would spotlight how much they continue to hurt us with their spending. He’d rather lie about a bill that isn’t going to go anywhere. Reminds of Billsy's thread about the nonexistent April 2022 GOP tax increase....... https://redstate.com/nick-arama/2023/01/27/chuck-schumer-get-nailed-for-lying-by-twitter-then-elon-joins-in-n694640
  14. Well then definitely don't give them any money, They'll be contacting you night and day, all year long. LOL.
  15. You never listed to me before, You should definitely give em your 2 cents.
  16. I wanna thank the GOP for making it easy for me in 2024. Any donations will be directly to the candidate. None for the Republican Party.
  17. It is wiser if you understand when you are over-reacting and smearing millions and millions of people because YOU have a problem But, you be you. .
  18. Mr Glasser has much more experience than you and I, if you had clicked on the link you would know that. but, you know, keep that outrage up. 😂 HERE is the important video ! Geez, why didn't they just release that last fall and save everyone a lot of grief. Thanks FOX News. PUSH PLAY. .
  19. You need to change your name and photo then. This is available.
  20. I know that when people break into my home, the first thing I do is grab a drink as I'm confronting them. And of course you take your pants off... . The video is weird, but doesn’t explain much: 1) It looks like the two men are not struggling but jointly holding the hammer. 2) Why is Paul in his underwear? 3) When the cops ask Pelosi what’s going on, he replies with an awfully spaced-out “hi” and a really dopey grin common to someone high a.f. Thankfully, you can’t see it, (I mean, “c’mon man”) but judging from the swing of the hammer, if it landed on Pelosi’s head… This video certainly doesn’t prove anything one way or another IMHO, but I have to say in my considerable experience it doesn’t rule out a dope-fueled homosexual assignation that went terribly wrong… One last question to our LEO pals out there: A hammer is unquestionably a deadly weapon. Not that I’m in favor of trigger happy cops, but I have to say if this happened in Dade County, Fla., the cops would have drawn down on the guy and lit him up. Am I wrong? by Charles Glasser https://instapundit.com/566452/ . To me, while Pelosi does look 'confused' he probably is waiting for the cops to do something, unfortunately it is SF, so that gives the attacker his opening. . .
