I would definitely not go pass happy. That doesn't seem to work too often. I especially don't think it will work against a team like the Eagles. As you said above, try and test the passing theory against a relatively weaker opponent.

I doubt if the Bills had much say in it. Considering the NFL always ends preseason that week and almost all teams play on Thursday the final week to prepare for the season and final cuts, I would say UB is the one at fault here. They should have known the Bills would most likely play that Thursday and schedule their home opener on Friday or Saturday.
