  1. Those are generally good rules yet if we followed them than we would have never gotten James Cook, Thurman Thomas, OJ Simpson etc. etc. Talent can be had anywhere in the draft and yes I prefer to get big guys earlier than often myself but there's an exception to every rule.
  2. Damn I remember when we drafted him thought we got an absolute steal as he was a great athlete but not as good as a player. RIP Matt.
  3. My point is we needed a CB almost every year during that era as we kept losing them in UFA and had to replace them. If we look back some of them may have been reaches yet I don't have time to deep dive at this moment.
  4. Why fill your defense with inferior talent when it's your teams weakness? I get wanted to give Josh the best options but are those options going to make Josh and the offense significantly better than what we saw last season? I highly doubt it.
  5. Did you forget the 90s where we seemingly drafted a CB in Round 1 every single season?
  6. Until your playing defense and forced to stop Hollywood Brown, Xavier Worthy and Rasheed Rice with Christian Benford, Taron Johnson and Dane Jackson. Until our defense can show it can stop KC in the playoffs we're playing catchup which isn't the easiest way to win, the easiest way to win is consistently stop your opposition and score as many times as you can offense.
  7. The kid was also thrown on long routes which are much harder to complete than shorter stuff. I'm not saying he has to work on his hands because yes he did drop a few balls but it a whole lot harder to complete a 10-15 yard out vs a 5 yard slant in most cases.
  8. Just because we talk to a guy means we are actually interested in him maybe they asking about him to learn about a team scheme/practice habits or even about a teammate. That or just trying to put up a smoke screen on who they really interested in. If there's one thing I notice about Beane he seems to prefers to take athletic guys vs lunch pail guys.
  9. Just the Ten of Us, Brooke Theiss and Jaime Lunar beat my teenage heart.
  10. We gave up more than a 1st on Diggs.
  11. Undrafted with numbers like that.
  12. Interesting things here to say the least
  13. The Raiders could be in QB purgatory if don't get a QB in the 2025 draft. All the others at least have a QB or high enough pick to maybe get "their guy" unless the Brown ruin things for the Giants.
  14. Oh yeah I know, she really brought some heat with her underhand delivery.
  15. If you sign him cheap you can cut him easy.
  16. He doesn't grade well but he is a NT that we lack. Sign him cheap but draft someone better than him to start.
  17. Without a doubt you take Abdul Carter.
  18. I like Amos but I like Tyleik Williams more.
  19. The problem is those enormous fat guys also were very skilled. Specifically #92 he was big but one helluva athlete. You don't always find that combo which makes guys like him so difficult to replace. Bring on Tyleik Williams I say.
  20. Leodis McKelvin resembles that remark.
  21. We hit on White, Taron Johnson and Christian Benford. Siran Neal is also a player in this league though not with us and is Alex Austin a former 7th Round pick of ours so it seems like we know how to find CBs. Yes, Elam and others may have busted but we still have a "winning hand" in my eyes at finding CBs.
  22. Tabor was a great addition but my only worry is he has coached some of the best ST players to ever play so not sure if he coached them up or just had them fall into his lap but time will tell. I like Nielsen as a guy without prior ties to McDermott so may bring in some new ideas/thought process.
  23. Blame Erie County for being cheap.
