  1. I want Rosen more than any other QB in this draft, the thought of us losing him to the Jets does disgust me. That said I think we have a better foundation in place than the Jets and we could still be a better team with them if end up with an inferior QB like Rudolph yet we better improve the rest of the roster in doing so.
  2. With the amount of picks we'll have up in the air it's tough to focus on anything other than QB. I'm not looking to move away from Clay because look at what Miami's had at TE since they lost him, pretty much nothing. Now if we can find a TE to develop when Clay's contract ends, that's another story.
  3. So we need to draft a QB bench him to start the year then play him until he gets hurt.....sounds like a bad plan. Mart Ryan > Mike Vick.
  4. ...And every one was an Henry (Henry) And every one was an Henry (Henry) She wouldn't have a Willy or a Sam (No Sam) Henry the eighth I am....
  5. I'm not happy with Allen but getting Jackson makes me angry.
  6. If we lose Rosen because the Patriots out traded us I will be ill. Moreso than if we passed on someone like Lamar Jackson and he ends up getting taken by the Patriots and McDaniels develops him like he tried with Tebow. Yet I don't see the latter happening at all.
  7. Today we have the 12th pick, that could all change tomorrow.
  8. He also lost a playoff game for the 1986 Bears but people don't want to look back at his previous stint in the NFL when he played horribly too.
  9. I remember Flutie getting in that game late, odd the box score he had 2 pass attempts but the play by play says he only passed once.
  10. and if someone tackles Dyson on Homerun Throwup the Bills beat the Titans and fans love RJ for his ability to pull out a victory in the last minute much like Flutie did during his career. Instead Porter leaves his lane and we lose and people can cry that Flutie would have got us the win when there's no way we really know. Then why doesn't Flutie get credit for the loss against the Rams in 1998 when he came in for another injured RJ that we were up but Flutie couldn't kill the clock leading the Rams with Greg Hill and Tony Banks beat us in the final minutes?
  11. When I hear that I think of Shanny making an offense that RGIII excelled in as a rookie yet once he got back from injury he couldn't produce again. I'm sorry but if Lamar is another Vick, RG III or Watson insert your favorite RPO QB here we're in trouble as those offenses eventually fail as their QB ends up injured and then when you try to protect them in the pocket they fail because they can't play a traditional offense.
  12. So what? The 1998 version of Flutie was far better than the 1999 version. As Belechick with the Jets, developed a game plan to limit Doug's effectiveness and/or he just hit a wall. The 1999 offense was less than great and RJ seemingly ignited it in the Colts finale, that's why Ralph wanted RJ in the playoff game against Tennessee.
  13. To a degree it is as most draft picks don't make immediate impacta. Thatsaid I love the hype and anticipation. It's my adult Christmas. I put it in the same category as the Academy Awards for movie lovers or Grammy's for music lovers etc.
  14. Look at the two QBs this regime has added. Classic drop back passers. I think Rosen, Darnold and Rudolph fit thisold. Yet think Beane moved up to 12 and stopped as wants to see how the draft shakes up before making his next move. If Rosen or Darnold get past five we move up otherwise we settle on Rudolph.
  15. I don't see the Giants and Broncos needing a QB. As both have veteran QBs under contract the next two years and both perceive they we're better than their 2017 records and can improve with one of the two best prospects in the draft.
  16. If true it mean that two tests passed on Barkley and Chubb, I can't see it. Especially with Denver needing a a RB and the Giants needing a RB and DE.
  17. Darnold an apple tree because he's the apple of most scouts' eye. Rosen a lemon tree because he produces fruit yet leaves a sour taste in some scouts mouth yet when done right makes a great lemonade. Allen a crab apple tree as less developed than the others but fools you into thinking you've got apples when you don't. Mayfiend is a bonzai as he's obviously smaller than the rest yet needs constant trimming but produces no fruit. Jackson a weeping willow as he's just a big mess of stuff that every one hopes they can contain it but in the end leaves you disappointed.
  18. Because every year one or two fall lower than expected.
  19. Yes, you've stated that several times in this thread. My point being with niether of them good enough is had we let RJ play in 1998 and 1999 we could have looked to replace them sooner than later.
  20. Rosen falls out of the top 5 and we move up to number 7 to take him. I'm not sure what the formula is to get him but it will probably take another pick in this draft. The lowest I could see him is 4 yet think he goes to the Giants at 2.
  21. Because RJ didn't get to play in the USFL or the CFL to develop his game. At the time I thought RJ was better than Flutie. Looking back I can say he wasn't yet if could do it all over I would have played RJ in 1998 and 1999 to show he wasn't good enough to be our next great QB cause truth is niether one was.
