Stefon Diggs - “I watched the game five times”
The Jokeman replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Those that want to trade him are painting a scenario that Diggs wants to leave. So they have the mentality of if you don't like it you can go. Yet they don't understand that Diggs feeling of upset or frustration are just that and not cries that he wants out. -
So Edmunds came into the NFL early, it doesn't make up for the fact he is slow to diagnose plays or often doesn't fill the right hole or seems to have tacklers bounce off him. He just flat out isn't good enough as a MLB, should we over pay him and hope he gets to be good as Roquan Smith or find someone cheaper that can offer more value? I say go with the latter.

and that's when you need to maximize the value of the players around the QB. It's why Beasley and Brown get cut as making too much so we added Crowder, kept McKenzie and Davis and drafted Shakir to be replacements and unfortunately none of them stepped up unlike when the Chiefs who traded Hill and added JJ and MVS and SKyy Moore who did perform. We then brought Beasley and Brown back at reduced rates but sadly they didn't perform as might not be good enough. So that's why we need to improve talent. Allen is definitely more talented than McKenzie or the present version of Shakir IMHO and be worth an add as long as at a budget price. I've also mentioned looking at FA options like Greg Dortch or Richie James to possibly man the slot at a lower cost but better than McKenzie or an aging Beasley.

He meant NFL compensation when the league hands out picks for lost UFAs vs gained UFAs, you know when the Pats and Ravens gets loads of extra 3rd Round picks every year.

Bills now no longer have 2 fifths but one fifth and one sixth

By contrast the Cleveland Browns drafted Jabril Peppers/Baker Mayfield pn Day 1 of the draft and DeShone Kizer/Austin Corbett and Larry Ogunjobi/ChadThomas on Day 2 and none of them to the current Browns squad. Look at the previous regime and a lot of guys drafted were out of the NFL once they left Buffalo. -

I'd love to sign Greg Dortch but don't think he's available as an UFA. Richie James could be a low cost guy that could contribute as he had a career year with Daboll and the Giants last year. Though we need size at WR so we could take someone in the first 3 Rounds that might be able to fill the role. -
My mom had a stroke on October 15th of last year and can totally relate to everything Jessie wrote.

How did the Patriots maintain a top team for 17 years?
The Jokeman replied to Success's topic in The Stadium Wall
Belichick's formula for winning was strong defense and in the end be down less than one score and count on Brady (and good kicking) to win games in the end with a drive to win it, you can see it in their first two Super Bowl wins played to a T yet over the years Brady became a better QB and was scoring more earlier and didn't always need to make the drive or in the case of losing to the Giants, Eli did them one better by winning with late heroics because the Giants D help the Pats O in check.
