    I guess that makes him our lock for # 10 since we always draft injured players (see Watkins and Lawson).

    If we keep him do are we on the hook for the whole contract? I thought I read we could still bail on some it down the road?

    Flutie is so under rated, he had us in the playoffs two years in a row. Without him there is a good chance the franchise would have moved to LA and the year they cut him loose we were 8 - 8, the gold standard for this bunch today.

    Trade down get a CB, pick up the TT contract (maybe re done) then a QB with our compensatory pick rd 3. Cardale can fight it out with TT and our 3rd rd QB sits a year and gives us hope next year at this time I.E. Kelly, the Miami QB or the Monahand guy.

    Yes like Pitt CB that we cut and is now a big deal the guy from Duke.

    Isn't his contract now two parts if he stays after March 1 the next three years are guaranteed. However, I don't think the whole thing is guaranteed?

    It would be interesting to see data on trading up and down in the draft and how they have worked out. My money is on trading down is the way to go.

    Not a big fan but would be worth the risk if he is still there when we pick. Then let he and Cardale have a fair QB competition.

    He was projected as a first round pick at the beginning of the year. As a cane fan did he really regress that much?

    I hope he gets in there for a series or two. Sign Bradford, draft the Miami U QB in round two. Then if Bradford is hurt or stinks you have two young guns and you hope one will work out.

    How quickly we forget...last year Cinncy at home he laid an egg, Jacksonville in England he had 4 picks. Fine hard working young man competent 3rd stringer.

    I hate this guy but, we should go back to the 43 draft a CB and a few safeties and we will be back to having a decent defense. Sign a RT and the line will be fine. Resign Woods and the WR's are fine. Go get Cutler and Cardale can back him up and draft the Miami QB in rd 3.

    Everyone keeps saying Cardale is not ready, says who? The game is worthless and the Jets are horrible and the kid looked pretty good in preseason. So why not help EJ out with a free audition instead of seeing what we have in Cardale. This organization is so *^%#uped.

    Buddy Nix said draft one every year. He said that after the year passed on all QB's including Russell & Cousins (or as I have heard him referred to Buddy Hicks).

    No thanks, take the Miami U QB in round 2. Battle it out with Cardale.
