Time. Brady when he first entered the league was told “just don’t screw it up!”. After 10 years Brady saw every possible defense. He also had an amazing football IQ like P Manning.. I don’t know how Allen’s is but not everyone is super smart in reading defenses most are well average at it. OMG! The Bills were gassed and it was obvious.. I mean it took a huge performance by the O to beat the Dolphins who had a THIRD string QB starting that game and it was at HOME!
-
Umm maybe because he has to go through Mahomes and Burroes to even get to the SB. also comparing Allen to the GOAT just isn’t fair! Brady was one of the best ever reading Defenses in NFL history. He also was not forced to carry the team when he first started, the Pats D carried the team and let him develop. Allen been the man since day 1.

I like the sun retiring commercial with him in it. “Can I take a selfie Mr Marino?” Lol

Jets sense frustration from Aaron Rodgers after spotty practice

Then you would first get fined then eventually suspended for doing such a thing. Not allowed to publicly call out the refs. -

Stafford always had a god awful team around him! There is a reason why the 2 best players in Lions history both retired in their primes.. lol -

Had Rogers ever had a division that was good? I am asking I can’t think of one elite QB or team in the Packers division.. maybe the Vikings but they haven’t had a really good QB in forever. -
I Am Not Optimistic Going Into This Season
PatsFanNH replied to longtimebillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ok, umm The Jets are going to be pumped super high and if the Bills play DISCIPLINED they should have a huge lead at half while the Jets make numerous dumb mistakes.. Have the Dolphins ever beaten the Bills with Tua? So why are you worried now? The worst the start is 3-1… The Bills will be fine and make the playoffs, I want to see, like I am sure most non Buffalo fans are as well, if they will wilt again or not in the playoffs. -
What did you miss? Jets — got Aaron Rogers and still have one of the top D in the league. A lot of experts are expecting them to make some noise. Dolphins — Got a better DC and added some D talent. Their season will go as far as Tua health takes them.. They could be very good as well. your also facing KC,Cincy and the Eagles. I also think a lot of people/experts saw how the Bills faded badly down the stretch and are expecting a step back. Will they… I doubt it.

Brady always took way under market value while he was in NE.. never fully guaranteed but he left a LOT of money on the table so the team could build around him.

You could be right about Jones. It’s hard for me to tell yet considering last year was just a train wreck on O. Mentally weak? I don’t know what you mean by this but guessing because he got angry in games at the coaches incompetence in getting plays in on time? I am not expecting much this year my one hope is we know one way or the other if Jones can be good or not. He showed a lot of promise his rookie year and like I said last year the O was run horribly and everyone on O was complaining.

Meanwhile in Foxboro, "In the End There Can Be Only One"
PatsFanNH replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was year 2 for Brady.. but I get your point. A lot of Colts fans said it when they had Manning too. Also to add to your point he kept a 6th round QB around when the Pat’s had their 1st round Franchise QB. (I think Bledsoe just signed a huge contract at that time too) -

Actually with a good OC having two different style QBs wouldn’t be that big of a deal. If anything with the O line we have right now having someone can run for his life may come in handy! -

Talking heads around here think they will sign Colt McCoy.. I wanted Cunningham to be the backup since he is so different than Mac.. I hope he ends up on the practice squad.. I think he has some promise.. -
Lol the Kicker was replaced by the 4th round rookie. The QBs.. I have no idea what he is thinking.. I thought he would keep Cunningham and cut Zappe who looked like hot trash.. Not even close, he is to short and teams figured him out quickly.. he couldn’t complete anything to the middle of the field.

Allen is NOT a HOF QB yet! So that’s just premature. Lmao a collapse, I can tell Bills fans are not use to winning yet. A loss like this happens to the greatest of teams from time to time. Sometimes it’s a downright humiliating loss like Buffalo beating NE 41-0 when Lawyer Malloy joined you, or when KC bet them like a rented mule.. the media and some fans had the team dead and this was the end for them.. both ended up being SB years the Bills one was similar to the Jets this year because of all the hoopla about how much better you were going to be that year. Again I was just showing how I see it happening, the Jets D is capable of shutting down any O for a half. my point is, win or lose opening day don’t get to high or low about it.. it’s just one game and even very good teams fair poorly in an environment that you will have in NJ opening week. They are going to treat it like their SB because the Bills are the top dogs in the East.
-
It isn’t a collapse. 14 points is not much when facing a HOF caliber QB like Rogers who has done it numerous times in his career.. and it’s at home in NJ. My breakdown was to show how close it will be at the end.. I mean if someone thinking you lose a close game the road pisses you off.. that’s kinda sad.
-
I can speak for the Pats only.. and my God if there is one huge and glaring weakness it’s RT and the backup LT.. I mean bad would be an improvement.. Against GB the backup got beat bad and almost got Jones killed and then sees the ball on the ground and doesn’t even try to go after it .
-
Not a release but a trade: Cleveland trades : OT Wheatley Patriots Trade: RB Strong
-
Lol I just realized that! My point is simple, the Jets will play poorly in the first half and regroup in the second to squeak out a win. I also think win or lose the Jets lose big week 2 against NE because they will leave everything on the field against Buffalo who is the class of the AFCE right now. I hope the Bills squeak out a win and the Jets start 0-2 and the grumbling starts in NY
-
This is my opinion… the first half the Jets are way overhyped and make a lot of dumb mistakes and go down early… score at half 24-10 Second half the Jets calm down and their defense almost pitches a full half shut out.. it’s 27-23 with 45 seconds left and Rogers has the ball. He hits Davis for 25 yard TD to take the lead 30-27.. Allen marches down the field and with 10 seconds left they line up for the game tying FG of 50 yards and it hits the uprights… Jets 30 Bills 27 close game and could go any way but I just see it as the Bills just coming up a bit short. But if it’s any consolation I see the Jets laying a big old egg against NE the following week and the Bills be tied for first after 2 weeks.

Bills @ Bears Game Day Thread?!?!?!?
PatsFanNH replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
I disagree. The catch % is just as much on the QB. If he is throwing it short and at his feet or throwing over his head or behind him that’s on the QB. The % is on the WR when it’s a good pass and not thrown into coverage.. (hard blame a guy for not coming down with a pass when he gets hammered the second it gets to him. ) You are also using something I hate being used in Sports.. Analytics… they say 78% of the time X will happen.. we’ll I say hitting the open WR will work almost 100% of the time and keep analytics out of it that killed baseball. -

Wouldn’t the logical thing to just always throw to the open guy? I mean a guy named Brady had a decent career doing that. Lol -
Elam now CB4 and playing kickoff coverage in the preseason
PatsFanNH replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
While missing is t a big deal if I was a 49ers I be ticked they missed on a top 3 pick considering what they gave up for him! As for Elam I wanted the Pats to draft him last year and not Savage. I think he would excel in NE style D just like Gilmore did. -

PatsFanNH replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s only his second year as a Pro, IMO I would give him at least 3 years and trade him if he doesn’t develop before year 4. I say this because you be lucky get a 5th for him. (Seeing as how A top 3 pick only got a 4th and was a QB) -
Conor Orr (from Si.com) and his prediction: Bills at 9-8 🤔
PatsFanNH replied to Italian Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think he is right about O’Brian making the Pats O respectable again. The problem is their schedule is just BRUTAL! A 10-7 record for the Pats is the top of their potential. While 9-8 would be the wheels absolutely falling off for the Bills. I just don’t see that happening
