  1. I'd take the Tight End Vernon Davis. He would add an immediate fear to the opposition.
  2. I'd take Bush. He looks like a once in a generation type player. I don't recall seeing anybody do what he does....ever. Mario looks like the real deal. If they want him, they should trade out of the first pick, because Bush is the best player available. I think Charlie Casserly will trade the pick and get a bunch of value for it, but in the long run his fans will be pissed that he missed out on Reggie Bush.
  3. There is a guard from Carthage College in Kenosha Wisconsin. Hold on....Wingo Kornfeld, I think....a bit undersized at 5'9" 170 lbs. Plays the point. Oh wait, that's basketball. Never mind.
  4. I've posted before that the Bills had the best offense in the league for the first drive in the game, and the worst after that. This shows that they have the talent to score a lot of points, but poor play calling during the game. Fairchild can come up with adjustments and good play calling during the game, and this offense will be just fine.
  5. Good work there. It just goes to show you what a crap shoot the draft really is. It takes more than talent to win. Patience, player development. Think about John Parella. What a different DL we'd have had if somebody could've talked him off the ledge.
  6. I'm excited. I bought a Peerless Price jersey for 15 bucks after they traded him. You think he'll be #81 again? I like the move. Welcome home, Peerless Price.
  7. It hasn't hit the NFL transaction list, and neither the Bills nor the Texans have made an official announcement. What does this mean? You think they're still haggling or what? I guess they may be waiting for somebody to blink. I still think Marv should push for one of the 3rd round picks. They aren't going to cut Eric. By the way, how come Eric won't consider a pay cut for the Bills, yet he will sign a 4 year deal that averages 3.5 million per?
  8. I stand corrected. Sorry for any inconvenience.
  9. I'm going to try and break this down for you guys. If something makes you laugh, it is funny TO YOU. The same thing may not make me laugh, and it therefore is not funny TO ME. Example: The screwing the goat stuff you guys spent all that time on? Not funny to me. But to you, FUNNY. I'm not saying you're right or I'm right, I'm just saying that it's sort of a personal, subjective thing. It's what makes us all free people, with the right to decide what is funny. funny thing is, this whole thing is not funny at all. in fact, if you keep saying or typing the word "funny," it starts to look funny in and of itself. which is not really funny, more weird than funny.
  10. Wrong. Not funny to you. Not funny to you. Period. Who are you, a comedy writer? Who appointed you arbiter of comedy? Are you high? If it makes me laugh, it is funny to me. If it doesn't make you laugh, it isn't funny to you. End of story. Get a hobby.
  11. No kidding. I thought that was a pretty funny little quip, and these guys jump all over you like you're some fat guy from "Lost." No wonder people are reluctant to post here. The vultures just don't allow much levity.
  12. I think that Marv and Jauron are doing the right thing by opening up the field for competition. JP has some serious skills, but he needs to prove it by winning the starting job. I'm pretty sure they can design an offense that will do better than last year. Remember, the Bills had the number one offense in the league for the first drive of the game. After that, when Mularkey had to think on his feet, they were one of the worst.
  13. I can see your disagreeing with me and having reason for it. But I would argue against your reasoning, because I saw him play in a game, and he got beat for 2 sacks in the short period I was watching. I'd rather have a guy who produces in games than in practice.
  14. I think D Brick is overrated. I watched him get beat a few times in the Senior Bowl. What's he gonna do when the nasty professionals are running stunts on him? I'd rather take some cat with a little less natural talent and a whole lotta 'tude in the 2nd or 3rd.
  15. I agree. Sometimes these people have to ask themselves, what am I going to get out of a 3rd round pick that I can't get from Eric Moulds for the next couple years? Sometimes you get extremely lucky and get a starter in the 3rd round. Usually it takes a couple years for a player to develop. Eric is fully ready to step on the field and make a significant impact. They allegedly have agreed to pay him 14 mil/4 years. Will they be paying the 3rd round pick that kind of jack? It's an inequity. I would hold out for the 3rd.
  16. I know. But until the deal is finalized, who knows? Philly is still in the picture, I guess. Although they are laying low pretending that they don't care. We won't know till next week. I'd tell them no thanks to a 5th round pick for a guy of Eric's talent.
  17. Moulds is a great addition to their squad. Half the problem the Texans has last year was the paucity at WR. That's right, I said paucity. They had Davis, and that was about it. You could triple team him, and there was nobody else around who could catch the ball. Having Moulds on their team improves them much more than any silly 3rd round pick!! Plus, they've got 2 in a row, right at the top of the round!! Marv should stick to his guns, demand the 3rd, and we will all be happy as clams in a fishbowl.
  18. I admit to jumping up whenever I read a rumor about Moulds being dealt, or JP being on the block, or trading up or down. It's fun to be a fan in the offseason. But I think Marv is one sharp guy, and he will do what is right for this franchise. A 4th rounder from Houston is equivalent to a late 3rd rounder, except you have all night long to think about it. I'd rather we get Houston's 3rd round pick, which is like a late 2nd round pick. I think it would be insane to trade JP Losman at this point. He was coveted by bothe the Packers and the Rams, two offensive minded teams. He's got something going there, and we should explore that. I believe Marv will keep him on the team. Marv keeps signing guys who excel in special teams. Special teams are 1/3 of the game. We must maintain our status as the top ST team in the league. He is fortifying our unit.
  19. Marv strikes me as a pretty smart guy who will play this thing out properly. Moulds has a value, and the longer he remains on the market, the higher his value could become Eric is a stud who brings a ton to the table. I think he'd catch 110 passes in KC, and would be a huge addition to their team. He might be enough to get them to the next level. That's where I think he should go, to the Chiefs. For a 2nd round pick.
  20. Hey guys, relax. I was wondering if you thought that Marv actually believed he had a chance of landing these guys....because I believe that he must, or he wouldn't spend all this time on them. I'm not whining. I love Marv. I read his book twice. I know you won't go back and read my posts, I've been an advocate of his being GM since before he was GM. I'm a fan of this team, and I am asking questions. Don't call me some whiner, Jesus that's offensive. Relax. Paxil.
  21. Sorry, dude. What I wrote was "all THIS time," not all HIS time. I went back and checked. Thought you might want to actually read something before jumping all over me like that.
  22. They fly these cats in, spend hours with them, and then sign them to an offer sheet, which the other team seems to always match. Does anybody think Arizona or Chicago will not match these offers? Marv's pretty smart, so there must be some reason he spent all this time and effort on RFAs.
  23. Hold off on trashing JP till we see how he does with the new system. There have been bigger busts. I also believe that Roscoe will see plenty of action this year, and he will have a dramatic impact. Pat Williams.....that was a silly move keeping Sam over Pat. Silly.
  24. I live in St. Louis and have watched the Rams "swiss cheese" d the past few years, and I don't think Pickett is that good a player. If you go to NFL.com, you'll read that he made something like 67 tackles last year, not 110 or whatever is being reported all over the place. My friend Paul thinks half of Pickett's tackles were the result of guys running into his fat ass. Sure, we need help on the DL and should've signed Pat Williams. But that doesn't mean we have to over pay for a lardass. Post Dispatch Story Link fixed.
