  1. I wonder if that's the pick we swapped for Hines.
  2. LOL. We've had one arguably bad offensive performance in the past 5 weeks (yesterday) and that came against a great defense in bad weather and we still managed 4 scoring drives (way too many 3 and outs and punts for sure, though). We racked up over 400 yards against the Vikes and Lions (almost 500 against the Vikes) and over 350 against the Browns and Pats. The Pats game we could have probably done a bunch more on offense, but we slowed down the pace and ran the ball the majority of the second half and shortened the game.
  3. Our two best skill players (Hodgins and Blackshear) are on the Giants and Panthers, respectively. Many of the players we kept are miserable and rarely smile (See James Cook).
  4. Cincy already has 4 losses, so that would make them 12-5. Not sure if that kicks them to the 5 seed or not.
  5. If we would have just cut the amount of drops in half yesterday, then Josh finishes 20/27 with around 220 yards in pretty crummy weather. Not lighting the world on fire, but not bad against a Jets secondary that very well might be the best in the NFL. Yep. I was saying after the Minny game, if they just stopped turning the ball over and learned to accept the occasional field goal try instead of playing hero ball for TDs, the team would get back to it's winning ways. That's mostly been the case. The only game that we were on the cusp of losing during this stretch was Detroit and that was the game where we turned the ball over in the red zone.
  6. Absolutely agree with you there. Only thing I can think of is that the Jets were disguising their defense well and providing looks that told Dorsey/Josh to continue to throw the ball. But in crap weather like that, I'm of the mind that you hand the ball off and try to establish your running game early on, even if that means a couple of three-and-outs (which we ended up having a ton of regardless).
  7. I agree, but I think a lot of it comes down to Josh's decision making and checks at the line (and once the play starts). I saw a couple of times where Josh clearly had a wide open underneath/dump-off option on 1st or 2nd downs, but he instead held the ball and ended up throwing an incompletion to a deeper covered receiver. I think Josh and Dorsey are both to blame - constantly looking for the killshot, when death by a thousand cuts would better serve the offense.
  8. Not sure how this post got so many likes, but it's massively hyperbolic. How are guys like Knox, Morse or Motor "soft" dudes? I've seen Cook break tackles just last week again New England, whom, by the way, is a very good run defense, yet we were able to impose our physicality and toughness to the tune of 132 running yards. Do we have issues? Yes. The offensive line has had their share of struggles, but we've seemingly had an endless string of injuries - Brown, Morse, Dawkins, Quessenberry, Doyle etc. at various times. We also need to keep in mind that the NYJ have one of the best overall defenses in the NFL. We weren't going to slice through them like Swiss cheese. My biggest complaint, besides the occasional bad line play, is the play of the receivers behind Diggs. I will concede that has been a problem. McKenzie and Gabe Davis just haven't been consistently good enough to punish the defenses for doubling Diggs.
  9. Miami was thoroughly dominated tonight. Outgained 2-to-1, only 20 mins of TOP, and ran 30 less plays than the Chargers. Completely destroyed if not for that fluke TD.
  10. Speed kills
  11. Just gonna be a bunch of big ol dogs in his chest on film.
  12. Poor guy is dying out there. Holding on for dear life to his NFL dream.
  13. Not gonna lie, and I never thought I'd say this, but I was more than a little nervous watching Mike White jog back onto the field. This guy is not going down until we "finish him".
  14. Not sure McKenzie has hands. Think he might just have two arms and a chest.
  15. He was in the pocket dude.
  16. Jesus. White got killed there. Tough dude and he was playing really well. Hope it's not serious. Just take the rest of the day off and rest up for next week, buddy.
  17. Embarrassing way to piss away all momentum. Infuriating
  18. Great start to the half, fellas. Geez
  19. We should throw it to that guy more
  20. We are holding on every single play. I'm starting to think our oline is a real issue
  21. Can't wait for our new open air stadium!!!!
  22. Agree, House. A real dumbflick.
  23. I'm not against this, but drafting a WR in the first round doesn't guarantee they'll find success. A fourth round guy like Gabriel Davis has outperformed many first round draft picks over the past handful of years. We look at the Chase's and Jefferson's and think that kind of production is a given if we move up and take a WR in the early to mid first round, but for every mega success, there's two Sammy Watkins, Nelson Agholor, Corey Coleman, Jerry Jeudy, John Ross, Henry Ruggs, etc. I'm okay sticking with Beane's BPA drafting strategy, since it's made us one of the best teams in the league.
  24. Donuts, thanks for posting the catch percentage numbers. I don't think you can draw too many conclusions from those though, because those numbers are greatly influenced by the types and depth of routes these guys are being targeted in, and the quarterback play they are paired with.
  25. There's a handful of really tall, lean, bendy and/or extraordinarily strong physical freak receivers who can pull off the acrobatics to which you're referring, and, yeah, we really don't have that type of player on the current roster. But our guys make plenty of tough catches in tight spaces, especially Diggs. Unless I'm forgetting someone, the last Bill that could really consistently beat a db for a 50/50 ball was probably Moulds?
