Predicting success for these WRs would be overly optimistic, but it is reasonable to take a wait-and-see approach when the Bills will be operating an offense in which one diva WR won’t demand the lion’s share of targets. I’m looking at Kincaid, Shakir, Cook, and Samuel to wind up with the most targets. Coleman is likely to be next, in the 40-50 catch range. With that production the Bills’ offense should be fine…do you not agree? If the Bills get anything out of the MVS/Claypool/Hamler/Hollins mishmash it’s gravy.

I really don’t see the point in comparing the 2017 and 2024 rosters. The franchise is in a completely different position now. The comparison with 2021 is much more relevant, and I think there is a chance this year’s roster compares favorably when we look back after this season. The keys are going to be which young players step up and which veteran additions meet expectations.

Schoen had no choice regarding the Barkley situation. His big mistake was the Jones contract in the first place. How do you look at that guy and think he is the answer for the franchise? But he did, and now he's trying to support him.

He’s one of my two “players I hope I’m wrong about” alongside Von. Kickers are a strange breed. When they have confidence they can’t miss, but when it goes…oy vey. To answer your question — I sincerely doubt the Bills are “ignoring” last season’s decline and Beane is keeping his eyes peeled on who is out there if they don’t see a difference during TC and preseason.

The Bills' offense is going to be just fine. There is one glaring concern on this team, and it is replacing both starting safeties. That's going to go a long way towards determining what the team does this year. I'll throw a healthy Milano in there as my distant second "concern" but at least this year we appear to have some LB depth.

Jesus Christ, Bill, it's not rocket surgery. Beane hated not having a 3rd rounder in this draft. It's not about "how much" they wanted Coleman, it's that they wanted him if he was available and they could acquire the extra draft capital they sought. Your crusade against McDermott, and Beane by proxy, is absolutely insane. They've made plenty of bad decisions but the good ones far outweigh them.

We went to their tailgate at the Rams opener a couple of seasons ago as well. It would have been very fun but it was oppressively hot. I don’t think I’d ever book one of their travel “packages” but the tailgate parties seem ok.
