  1. Yeah, you missed my point completely.
  2. It was refreshing, and reminded me of the Seinfeld episode about booing a comedian. Nobody expects a GM or coach to actually hold a radio host accountable. Beane has answered the WR question again and again and again, and if he sat on hold listening to WGR bash the WR room for several minutes before coming on I'm glad he was able to speak his mind. I wish he had asked the WGR boobs if he should walk down to the locker room to tell Shakir, Palmer, Coleman, and Samuel they aren't good enough and need to find a new place to work. Yes, this is the beginning of his prime -- not the middle or end.
  3. "small window" -- LOL. Josh has at least 7-8 more prime years as an NFL QB.
  4. Fatigue is my guess. Right after the draft, when he and his staff have expended so much energy...he's probably just sick of it. I am also a bit surprised, but pleasantly so.
  5. The amount of time and energy spent by Bills fans and local media criticizing a regime that has brought the longest sustained tenure of legitimate success since the SB years is astounding. You'd think this was a 4-13 cellar dweller, or that they'd been blown out in the playoffs. Fans want to talk and media people have to fill the airways...I get it. It's just a shame a little more time isn't spent focusing on how fortunate we are to have this team and the people running it. But, that's where we are these days. It's never about what's good, it's about what you want to complain about. A positive comment gets very few "likes" but a negative one has them rolling in. A legitimate conversation, in my opinion, would be for the WGR guys to get Beane on the air not to ask why he "devalues the position" (which is asinine) but ask him whether he values a receiver to take the top off a defense, for example. At least there would be some back and forth and a discussion. How about a question like whether he and his scouting staff have gone back and taken a look at where they may have missed something in some of the DL free agent acquisitions in the past? Nah, that might require the WGR guys to actually think a little bit instead of "acting mad" that Beane isn't doing what they think he should do. There's a reason why I listen to very little sports media these days...and I'm glad Beane let out a little frustration today.
  6. The highest scoring team in the league says hi.
  7. Good for Brandon, calling these guys out. He’s 100% right. The name of the game is scoring points and every team has a salary cap to deal with so you can’t play fantasy football. There is no question that defense has prevented the Bills from advancing farther in the playoffs. Period.
  8. To generate interest and demand. They can roll this out over the next four seasons… Don’t question the NFL’s marketing machine. It’s unmatched.
  9. This is a classic move that the over 30 crowd will call “stupid” while failing to realize that it’s being done for the under 30 crowd.
  10. Sorry, didn’t see this…feel free to merge my thread or if you want I can delete it.
  11. Not reading through this entire thread, but I just learned that Walker was a 2-year captain for Kentucky. More “captain DNA” on the roster.
  12. Nike and the NFL announced a “rivalries” initiative and will be unveiling a new uniform that each team will wear for at least one divisional home game for the next four seasons. For whatever reason, the AFCE and NFCW are up first and will debut the uniform this season. The “rivalry” games will be announced shortly after the schedule release on May 14. Specifics of the uniforms are unknown, but they will supposedly be tied to the team’s tradition and community. 🤷🏼‍♂️
  13. FWIW, I started a “UNC/Belichick” thread in the college football sub forum so this can be discussed this year… Belichick has a legitimate GM at Carolina (Michael Lombardi) and has assembled a pretty solid coaching staff and already got a lot of kids through the portal. He is as good a football mind as there is, and he seems really energized by this experience. Who knows how this will all turn out, but I think it’s premature to predict failure.
  14. I’m not giving a grade because we won’t know for at least 2-3 years how these guys pan out, but if there is ONE thing I’ve been consistent about it’s that we needed to get more speed and athleticism on defense — and Beane absolutely addressed that with the first five picks. I went into this draft looking for at least two DL and two CBs, and those boxes were checked. The strategy is sound — now we see if the players and coaches make it work. I am not worried about the offense at all. Palmer is an upgrade and I expect Coleman to improve/develop. I also expect a jump from Kincaid, who played hurt much of last season.
  15. If anyone should know…
  16. You do realize that the Bills are like 1-2 plays in four games away from being “that team” — right? Let’s not pretend KC has blown our doors off. The teams are a whisker apart.
  17. Is this the latest they’ve released it? Always seemed to be end of April/first week of May. They drag this s-h-i-t out longer and longer. Come on, some of us have travel plans to make!!!
  18. It’s worth nothing. That’s not a jab at you, but at every stinking “ranking sheet” put out by ESPN or other media sources. The teams have their own lists and that is all that matters. When something like this happens, you can rest assured that the Bills had Walker ranked higher and felt they needed to make the move to get him. I don’t know why people look at these composite ratings lists as if they mean anything at all.
  19. I had been wondering what the lead singer for Midnight Oil was up to…
  20. I hate winning these division titles and having a shot at the Super Bowl. Blow it up!!!!
  21. I guess we'll soon find out.
  22. Gotta get the papers, get the papers… Different Taiwan. No relation to our guy. Anyway…per usual, the draft day takes at TBD do not disappoint. Everybody’s an expert, lol. It was as clear as day that the Bills needed to get some speed and athleticism in their secondary — check. They love character guys who are great in the locker room — check. No reason to trash this pick. We’re all rooting for him to succeed and there is no denying it was a pick that also fills a need. Go Bills!
  23. I’ll just say it is super fun and warms my heart to see the genuine excited reactions of players seeing their dreams come true.
  24. That was a fun watch.
