This is a lot to digest. Thanks for providing. I need to pick through it more carefully - but for now I have to go pray good guys fall to us! I am pleased a Rosen guy can find good in Allen, and respect the ability to be objective enough to do so!

I think this is misleading. Giants didn't "pass on him" any more than they passed on Darnold - they wanted Barkely. Same with Broncos - wanting Chubb is not passing Allen. Browns at 1 and Jets at 3 passed on Allen. However, Bills at 7, in addition to Browns and Jets, passed on Rosen who went 10. If the guy we didn't want went 10, it is reasonable for us to have believed the player our scouts liked better wouldn't last until 12. I think Allen should have went 1 or 2.

Totally agree. Aiming the ball? Weird delivery. Check out Allen on Youtube - short thing called Soul and Science or something. Dude throws the ball 74 miles an hour. A football! I was a decent high school pitcher, but I could not throw a freakin baseball that hard. A big difference in the two for me: They traded down and took EJ. They were settling because QB desperate. Here, they traded UP to get the guy they wanted over Josh Rosen. Whether he was "their man" or not (will never know if they had Baker or Arnold higher) - they made the move to get him. They wanted him; and they just didn't want Rosen. Respect.

Supposedly quite effective last year and still out there I believe (correct me if I am wrong). Allegedly has tremendous work ethic and is a leader. Was one helluva player. Still just 29, and comparatively low mileage due to tragic achilles. Love to see him in the middle between Edmunds and Milano. Get 'er done Beane!

We are so lucky we dodged the Rosen hype. He holds the ball, can't move and is twice concussed. Plus he is a wanker. NFL lineman are going to literally beat the snot out of him and make him squeal.

I think McCarron is good. They should give him the year. That will show Dabol, Beane and McDermott the exact pieces we need in Dabol's offense. Between our cap space and not compromising our 2019 draft we will get all of them. Then let McCarron and Allen have at it in camp in 2019. If Allen wins you hand him the keys to a very, very nice automobile and he will have a much better idea how to drive it than he does today. McCarron could be really good. Trade bait next year if he is.
