  1. Snide remarks are not productive. Time will tell my friend. Post this back to me if I am wrong. And you know how to quote only part of a post -
  2. If fairness, you know nothing about Brandon Reilly. Which of course begs the question - do I know anything about him? Yes, I do. I know what his teammates think of him from first hand information. If you get the chance to ask one of them, do so. I think you will hear the same things I have said.
  3. Wait until the preseason games. Watch the man play. If you do, you won't forget him so easy
  4. He needs a more exotic name. It is easy to forget him because he spent 80% of year on practice squad. It is a mistake to sleep on him.
  5. He may not get a full shot yet, but he is as talented as anyone they have not named Benjamin. Including Zay (who I like). They like him. Watch.
  6. Milano is much faster and more fluid than Vallejo. Milano hurt himself in his combine 40. He is really fast (like Edmunds fast). Having said that, I agree with you on Vallejo. He supposedly has "elite cover skills" - and he and Lacey were beasts on teams. I think Vallejo could contribute quite a bit this year. As to my comment on Milano, he could still not run come his pro day. I am glad, helped us get him. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/initial-observations-from-the-2017-boston-college-pro-day/ Sorry, couldn't find the article I was looking for before. Got it now. Milano has blazing speed for an LB - "consistently 4.5 40" per article below. Had a bad hamstring at the combine. As I said, I like Vallejo, but Milano is much, much faster. This is a great read for anyone interested. http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/florida-recruiting/blog/os-sp-matt-milano-nfl-draft-0426-story.html
  7. And maybe we drop Neal into a big nickel once in a while.
  8. Flash this to me later if you want. McDermott loves the kid and there is no way he gets cut in training camp. He is just scratching his potential given hockey background. As we saw somewhat in preseason last year, young man is a very good football player. Tough, hard worker. Big and fast. Not going anywhere.
  9. I have faith in him, I think he is pretty good. I pray he has a great season and Allen develops on schedule. We can then trade McCarron for a high pick!
  10. Love his mobility. Though I hope he does not lower his shoulder like that in the NFL!
  11. Many posters were bemoaning our lack of WR speed during draft. Don't forget Brandon Reilly. Because he is a scrappy guy who caught passes over the middle last season it would be easy to forget he is quite fast. He ran a 4.42 at Nebraska's pro day. He also came in last year at 6'2 and 202 lbs. Bet that is 210+ now with no loss in speed. Also promoted to the 53 late in year so no other team could grab him. I think this young receiver is going to be good. He could push for time this year and be part of the speed answer. Wouldn't surprise me if he did. Go Brandon! https://www.landof10.com/nebraska/nebraska-pro-day-worked-unofficial-results
  12. Edmunds and Milano both really dedicated guys. I think they will be fine. Zo will be the Sam another poster said (reportedly stated by the team). Not much depth perhaps, but they can pick up some guys.
  13. Sure hope they don't sign this guy.
  14. Man, he is going to be great. I will stand behind it if he is not, but I think he has it all. Talent, dedication, drive, humility, team player. For a kid that was 5'10" and 130 lbs going out for his high school team to a JUCO guy with no offers, I think he will work until he overcomes whatever shortcomings he has.
  15. And as much as I hate to say it - McDermott keeps identifying Mills as a leader. Save San Diego, I thought he was better. Perhaps he can become adequate? And if not, maybe McDermott can take his job. Dawkins - Teller/Groy - Bodine-Groy - Miller - Mills/McDermott does not strike me as horrific. How is the FA they signed, Newhouse I think is his name? Is he a player that could give Mills competition?
  16. We were totally unable to stop the run at times. And for the year, we got no pressure on the passer. Fixed I believe, with the Dline additions. Plus, our backers were too slow in coverage. Fixed with Edmunds and Milano moving to a starting role. Only material loss was Gaines and I believe he is at minimum offset by Davis. So I think defense will be much, much better. Offense - we will miss Tyrod's running and refusal to turn the ball over. I think Dabol/McCarron/Allen can make up for that with a more adequate passing game. Zay should be materially better this year if his head is right, and Benjamin should be too if healthy. I wonder who plays center? If it was Groy I think it would be a good bet for a push with Wood. I noticed no drop off two years ago, and Woody was getting older. Groy is in his prime. If it is Bodine, who knows. I also think Richie may be a loss, but not so sure if i is Groy who takes his job. So I guess I expect the offense to be somewhat better, on balance. Overall, I think the roster is much better.
  17. Trusting the crud out of the process - they have earned it!
  18. Don't believe Bills wanted Cain over McCloud -- Beane and McDermott are more than willing to move up to get people they actually want. Something ain't right with him I suspect, and we can't know it.
  19. I will choose to trust the process here. Supposedly also "thickly built" in the lower body so that he can not get destroyed despite his size.
  20. I meant did not make sense when I saw 4.56 and his size. Typo - mean to say he appears faster than his timed combined time and it therefore may well make sense. Seems he may have very good speed and change of direction abilities.
  21. Pick did not make sense. He ran poorly at the combine for whatever reason. Ran at this pro day and allegedly scouts told him they had him in high 4.3's or low 4.4's. Has elite change of direction skills. One article I saw said "not the next Tyreek Hill after all" - so at least somebody thought he was. He is a gadget runner/pass catcher and return guy. Interesting piece. 4.56 made no sense, but if he is 4.40 it does.
  22. Okay, what now? Brown and Cain still there --
