  1. Right - Don't get married or date someone seriously if that's the life you want to live. Not even a yankee fan, but Jeter never really had any issues like this... because what was the worst thing you could say? I slept with jeter, and he'd be like... i dunno - probably?
  2. How much cash does one make off of a full house bieber concert - or a wrestlemania etc.? Like - how many events does it make sense to run? I imagine food service, staffing are a huge PITA.
  3. I like the Frank Lloyd Wright idea - or maybe a modern take on art deco to sync up with city hall? I dunno - something with some character i suppose. I just dont like the idea of like - full on replicating it. Like - modernize it. Use it for inspiration.
  4. Yep - Major infrastructure changes will need to take place... Lot of public money will have to be poured into this whether the pegulas are buying the stadium or not. I do think since PSLs probably don't work here to the extent they need to, public money will get put into it. Conway park would be my pick? Build some moveable bridges, and you have a ton of parking. Rip down the projects and you have even more - plus what you have for sabres games etc. I would assume a garage is on the table? Maybe another hotel - near the casino? There is a lot to think about there.
  5. Yeah - guys always got a sore groin, or back, or foot or something.
  6. If i was just getting the player (and he is vastly overrated), I'd be fine with it. You unfortunately also get the person, and the person is very egotistical and self-absorbed.
  7. Apparently this board has a college football gambling problem ? I liked Tyler Johnson from like - the non-big programs i watched. Guy was a beast in the outback bowl against auburn too - had that 1 handed catch.
  8. Somehow caldwell and marrone are still in charge there. I doubt they're going to convince khan that cutting a bunch of people then immediately spending the generated cap space trying to patch the holes is in his best interest. I think they'll try to keep the band mostly together for one more go around to try and keep their jobs. Draft a ramsey replacement, try and improve the offensive line. If the Yannick 3rd rounder is in 2020 its already a lot more valuable than the comp pick if it helps them this year.
  9. Yes. Take advantage of the desperation, and make st. dougs team worse...
  10. I'd do a 6th in a second for campbell. Guys played every game the last 5 years. Lead all linemen on the jags in snaps the last 3 years too. I don't think he's like - all-pro anymore but he's still a productive player. There's no long-term commitment either. If you want the cap space back you can just cut him, but I think he's a better player than anyone else we have at DE.
  11. Have to agree... The only issue is tagging him costs 18+ million. Dareus and linder free up 28, leaving them with like 7 after tagging him (they currently are over the cap. So they'll either have to cut more people, or skip free agency while they try and trade him. Hayden, Campbell, Bouye, Lee, Jones - Any combination of those guys could be on the chopping block. I know you can always create cap space by pushing salary into bonuses and stuff - this isn't a team to do that. Flawed team in flux. I'd tag him and try and extend him - he's 24. Cut Hayden, Campbell, Lee and free up another 26 million so you can build out some depth. Target oline in FA, and try and build the defense in the draft?
  12. The issue is - if you want to pay a back 22 million over 2 years you can do that with drake or gordon and not have to give up anything. And they're on a crunched timeline as i assume the bonus pays out on the 3rd day of the league year.
  13. They would need someone to eat the roster bonus - so trading team then pays him 13 million in 2020, plus 9 in 2021. Good luck finding a partner for that... It would take another team dumping a bad contract back and some pick swaps. The 5 mill in space doesn't really do much for them either - like that isn't bringing in an impact player. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/los-angeles-rams/todd-gurley-16734/
  14. Well the Hill extension kicks in next year so... he's probably gone. As soon as he's cut ever WR wants to play there too. Could have Anderson, or Sanders - and save cap space.
  15. I think they will sign someone. Hyde, Drake, Breida - even howard
  16. I don't mind that line of thought - but i personally don't see a "positionless player". I see a good running back. Faster than he looks, plays with a nice edge and has really good burst. He never jumped out at me as something amazing when i watched them.
  17. I think its a question of value. I wanted Dez.
  18. I just see no value in RB in the first. You're essentially wasting a cheap contract at the cheapest position. Last year pick 22 was 4 years 12.4 million. To get a starter at a more premium position like WR or OLB/CB for that price is too great not to. You can probably get hyde for the same 3 million. Buffalo already has a playmaker at the position.
  19. It helps when they don't call holding on you... KC was holding all game and still getting beat. GB holds almost all the time.
  20. Id take a CB, DE, or OLB before i would take a RB if im not going WR in the first. On offense i would look at Oline before id consider a RB. Yeah - way too early to be judging needs. They could sign kenyan drake or something and this entire narrative changes in 2 seconds.
  21. Nobody's signing an extension there. They could tag him but he won't sign. Even if coughlin was to blame for all of the issues regarding player complaints, people don't forget.
  22. Right - and if you look at their offense the big ? is QB. Ant they invest a ton of cap into it. The once elite defense is getting dismantled, and will honestly probably just be straight up bad this season.
  23. Correct: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/jacksonville-jaguars/cap/ Cutting Dareus and Linder saves 28 million. Theres plenty of other players they could cut if more space is needed. But that space will go fast. If they tag Ngakoue that will tie up probably 18 million. That is counted against you while you negotiate, all the way through til the deadline when he has to sign it. 10 is probably not enough for their draft picks. So i doubt they tag ngakoue unless they move on from campbell - who is a more flexible player (albeit older). They need help at CB, LB, and DT.
  24. With regards to the Jags - they can make those cuts and get some room to maneuver. But they had to trade Ramsey for picks because they were very unlikely to extend him. They got a large return, but they did go from a good defensive team to a bad one. I think he's a tad overrated, but he's a top 5-10 CB in the NFL. They'll also lose their best pass rusher because it doesn't make sense to tie up cap to tag and try and trade him, and you drafted his replacement in josh allen 2. Improving their defense is going to be huge for them, their offense isn't great, but it should be enough to keep them in games if they aren't just getting gashed on defense.
