  1. White, unlike Gilmour will not screw you in pass defense. he's a solid corner, not flashy just gets the job done. I'll take him and another first and 3rd this year. It was a good call. Tim-
  2. Well, I guess I'm in the minority, eh? Look, except for the few usual suspects who think everything the Bills do is a dumpster fire, MOST of us here at TBD were cautiously optimistic with both the DM and Rex hires. Sure they did not work out, but DW's drafting and FA he's done a pretty decent job, IMO. He can't coach the team, he just builds it. Tim-
  3. Glad you're so easily amused. We'll check back with each other when your hope for a DW firing spirals out of control and burns.. Tim-
  4. We're picking OJ at 10, and then trading back into the 1st with at this time unknown team by trading MD and few picks to select T.J. Watt, just because it's cool. Tim-
  5. Jesus Christ!!!!! There is zero chance, not a smidgen, but zero chance DW is fired after this draft. There might be a slight chance if we don't make the playoffs, but even that is only slight. The Pegulas like his vision, it's not like they haven't checked in on his vision throughout his tenure for God Sake? "Hey Doug, what's the plan" Doug - "plan is ____________ on course" Pegulas - "I like it, keep up the good work".. People are so easily fooled by fake news! Tim-
  6. I approve of everyone on his list. Tim-
  7. Ya know, I applaud you, I was waiting for someone else to come out with this, as I, and now apparently YOU seem to be in the vast minority. I don't think he's big enough as a DE in the NFL, and I never saw the motor that all these experts claim to have seen? He COULD well end up being another Miller (Very doubtful) but he could also be another Dion Jordan type guy that benefited from great defensive schemes. When I looked at the tape, and I did a lot, his sacks were roughly 70% coverage sacks, which in and of itself isn't a bad thing, but does it translate well to the NFL when you only have at best, 3 seconds to get to the QB? I don't think so, and I think he struggles in his rookie year. If I were the Browns I'd trade back, Tim-
  8. Ok, my take is that we let him walk, and here's why. First off, as good as he was, it's very difficult to get a real gauge of his talents as a leading back, which he would not be here, but might win the job at NE. The 5th was the right move by Whaley for reasons already stated here. Second, DW has shown and proven that he can find talent, what he hasn't done well was hire good coaches, SM might work out well, let's wait and see. Third, the cap savings will help with OT depth once we eventually release CK. Fourth, this draft is deep at RB, I'm sure they already had a few pegged in the 5th round should this scenario happen. Fifth, JW, didn't show much last year, BUT he was a rookie with very little playing time, most of us were bullish on JW when drafted and there's no reason to not still be. Sixth, the Patriots stacked the deck this year, they ARE going to be every bit as good as last year, if not better on paper, unless something impressive happens with SM as our head coach, the Bills are not beating NE this year. Seventh, and this one is the one I picked up on several times last year watching the sidelines - MG didn't seem to get along with Shady all that well, maybe it was a healthy competitive spirit, maybe it was jealousy, who knows, but there was something between them two that didn't mesh. I say walk, and look elsewhere, the 5th round tender was the better option leading up to FA, IMO. Tim-
  9. Total sadness, hard to think of anything worse, prayers to the Heap family.. Tim-
  10. Yeah, nothing flashy this off season but solid pick ups all around, at top is Hyde though, kids a baller! Tim-
  11. Just get yourself an Android box and streaming sports will never again be an issue.. Tim-
  12. 1. Mike Williams : Bills 2. Corey Davis : Titans 3. Malik Hooker : Jets 4. OJ Howard : Saints 5 Mitch Trubisky : Browns Bills Pick (bonus) : Mike Williams Good Luck! Tim-
  13. I dunno, I think half this board would lose their minds if Hooker fell to us at 10 and we didn't take him, and half would lose their collective minds if we did.. I'm of the opinion that, even if he is injured for the start of the season (unlikely prognosis looks like week into TC) you still take him at 10. Tim-
  14. I think he got a bad deal in TB, and having Cutler as your QB is also kinda crappy. Anyone have any love for Lovie? Tim-
  15. Just a word on Bell. I kept yelling at the TV and saying "No you idiots, you don't tackle bell up high, you take out his legs, just like Fred Jackson" AARRGGHHH He reminds me of Freddie, (I know I know Fred was never THIS productive) but they run very much alike, IMO. You can't tackle this kid Bell anywhere above his waist, you'll lose that battle, everytime. The sad part is, if I know this, why don't our defensive geniuses? Tim-
  16. I've said it all along, EJ Manuel never got a fair shot here. The issues I see with EJ's game are fixable with the right coaching, the issues I see with TT game are hard wired. His football IQ is poor, he can't read defenses, and all I need to prove that case is last week on the one-yard line turning to the sidelines and giving the thumbs up, as if to ask, well does hits look ok to run this play? Sorry, but if a QB (Starting no less) can't read a defense on the 1 yard line knowing what play you're going to run, and the coverage, he's NOT an NFL starting QB, plain and simple. TT apologist can say what they want, but I've seen enough of TT to know he's never going to get this. He'll be a fine backup somewhere, or perhaps start for a mediocre franchise desperate for ANYTHING, but he won't get you to the playoffs, let alone win anything.. I've been a Rex and Whaley supporter, but if these two clowns can't see this in TT, we have more serious issues at 1BDr. EJ will start for someone next year, take it to the bank! Tim-
  17. Serious question. If I'm Rex Ryan, I have to know that my job is on the line here. For me, if I'm Rex and I see dancing in the pocket early when the pressure isn't there, if I see staring down his receivers, if I see wide-open receivers open and TT not even checking his 2nd, 3rd reads, I'm benching him. Give EJ a shot. At least we know EJ can throw over the middle, and he doesn't dance to the ghost music like TT does. EJ may not be as accurate downfield like TT, but I think he makes up for it with his accuracy over the middle and short to intermediate routes, where TT always seems to overthrow the ball on those type of routes.. I want to see EJ, I've seen enough of TT this year, I want to see if EJ's light has turned on. With me? Let's go streaking.. Tim-
  18. Well to be fair, TE's tend to work between the numbers, and our QB can't throw that way, so there's that. Who knows what Clay would become with someone like Cousins throwing him the ball? Tim-
  19. No one can tell me EJ can't hand the ball to Gilly or Shady 20 - 25 times a game, in fact EJ's play action is waaayyy better than TT, and that's a fact. Will EJ run around like TT, nope probably not, but is that really a bad thing at this point? TT get's sacked as much as any other QB in this league, EJ won't be much of a fall off, IMO. Look, we know what we have in TT, the rest of the league does as well. If they make him be a pocket passer, they most likely beat the Bills, period. EJ at least can throw to a TE in the middle, and can also throw the 3-step slant. He's not as accurate at the deep ball, but that can be learned over time with more reps.. I'm putting in my vote for starting EJ, let's see what he has learned? The Bills are NOT, I repeat NOT making the playoffs this year.. Tim-
  20. Look, I get that there are many here that love TT, I am pulling for him too, but I'm also a realist. He's not our guy, and it's not because he lacks weapons, the tape doesn't lie, he's inaccurate, feel pressure that isn't there, and doesn't ever seem to know where the first down markers are... I saw Harvins face a few times today, his heart isn't in it. I think he wanted to try and come back, but when you have TT throwing the ball, I can see why he would just hang it up again.. I know, I know, TT fans hate this, but I've been watching football my whole life, 48 years of it, and although TT can succeed under very isolated circumstances, if teams being to bring pressure, it spells doom for his ability. Sure, he'll scramble a few times and make highlight reel type escape plays, but he's not consistent, not even close enough to being consistent for a solid reliable NFL QB. I hope I'm wrong and he brings us to the playoff promised land, but it ain't happening.. Tim-
  21. Anyone notice at the end of the first half they were all talking on the sidelines. Not yelling, it looked like a serious discussion about adjustments. Is it possible that our couches are making in-game adjustments? Tell me this isn't so? Tim-
  22. I was over at the Titans message board, and most 85% of them are pissed they let him walk. Actually it sounded like our fan message boards, difference is that, at least recently Whaley has made good decisions in that regard. Gilmore will be an interesting decision next year. I like Gilmore a lot, but unlike Darby, he seems to be a little soft. Question is, can we replace Gilmore effectively, and in turn use that potential cap money to retain performers such as ZB, Alexander? My guess is that Whaley offers Gilmore fair money, and he hits free agency. Someone is going to pay him 70 million, and it ain't gunna be the Bills, and I'm actually ok with that call. Tim-
  23. Haha me too, I laughed with my wife when she asked why I wasn't wearing it, and I said because we won last week against AZ, and I decided not to since I thought they would lose, and this week I said, ok in NE against BB, what the heck not wearing it again, and we won. I'm NOT wearing it on Sunday either.. Tim-
  24. I don't know how or exactly when it happened, but I started to feel bad for Miami last night. I felt dirty, but couldn't help it. That team is in serious trouble all across the board. Tim-
