It could be very close to Matt Flynn time
Smears replied to KikO M G's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow. Good thing none of you are NFL bound. Lewis has started only 4 games his whole career. This was his worst performance yet. You dont give up on a guy over a bad game. One thing you can depend on, Lewis will learn and get better from this mishaps. He seems to understand the game well enough that he knows how to improve. Making Flynn a starter at all this year is just masturbation. Let Lewis sink or swim with the team. I hope the Bills retain him as backup for next year. -
Why Does Everyone Love Pettine So Much?
Smears replied to Storm Front's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This thread, I suppose, was created to burn Pettine at the stake. Its obvious we are better this year. Im happy Pettine is here and I hope he stays for a long time. -
Annoying Announcers and My Thoughts
Smears replied to voodoo poonani's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cant wait to hear them slander our team in Buffalo when we beat the Chiefs next week. -
Screw that! Boo hoo a penalty actually cost the Patriots a game? How many non calls have you seen this team get away with? That non call on holding a couple weeks ago at the end of the game in New Orleans would have cost them the game. Its a crappy call but im glad it happened.

I agree. Too many adolescent, and entitled egos who arent used to discipline. I trust Lewis more than EJ. Yet understand that EJ is our guy. Joe Flacco sucks. I wish Jarius Byrd wasnt in Buffalo. Spiller is made of glass. We should do this more often. I feel better now.

No they didn't. Correct call, just not called alot. Patriots HAVE won too many games with non calls. That hold at the end of the Saints game on Nate Solder was never called. Arm wrapped around a guys body. That non call won them another game.

+1 That is the only option that give us "the best chance to win". Tuel may have potential but who wants to wait for this guy? They either put him in the game and expect the worse or cut him. They obviously dont have faith in him. Cut Tuel. EJ,Lewis, and Flynn stay active,

despite all the emotional fans posting here, I believe lewis is a solid back up. He wouldnt have performed as well as he did without preparing everyweek prior to his call to start. He seems to understand his role and understands the team aspect of the game. This guy deserves a roster spot. I hope he backs up EJ, He has a better skillset than Fitz and Tuel. Every deep ball he threw, whether its a completion or not was right there. Only thing id criticize thus far is he holds on the ball too long.

This is obvious holding. That resembles the missed holding calls on Mario we see way too often. Why didnt the line judge or the back ref see that? Answer, they saw it for sure. But they dont call it because the NFL is in love with the Patriots and there isnt any repercussions to the refs for a blatant non call. Too many times the refs influence outcomes of games. Its safe to assume that there is many games that the Pats have won with a big break or a non call. Have they ever lost because of a holding call or PI??? I cant think of any right now..

ESPN's Mike Rodak: Fred Jackson having a career season..
Smears replied to Kemp2Warlick's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is he playing the last year of his contract?? I hope the Bills re-sign if he makes it through the season upright. -
ej = rj? the glass cannon legacy...
Smears replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldnt consider him a mobile quarterback. He rarely has scrambled this season. I dont think EJ "relies" on his legs to make a play, such as a Vick or Steve Young. -
good highlight video on youtube of every throw in the steelers game. He seems to have a high motor and very decisive with his reads. He stands in the pocket and also was extending the play. The guy can play. Alot of the completions were over 8 yards. Can also scramble. He should fit the system well and if the defense keeps us in the game, I feel Lewis can win some games. Im worried about the NFL gametime experience. I expect some interceptions because of rust.

The Bills have Released Punter Shawn Powell
Smears replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He sealed his release last night after 2 punts ended up 10 points. You cant blame the loss on him but this move shows he was in the hotseat anyway. He sucked last year. In hindsight moorman was a rock for our ST. -

Brian Hoyer is an undrafted feel good story that Cleveland is riding on. Since the game is in Cleveland I fear if the Bills dont take the crowd out of it early, it will be a long game. The Bills have yet to win a road game. -
+100 nothing but upside for this guy. Good pick for the Bills. Very dangerous and patient, I bet opposing teams will have to start game planning for him as time goes on!

This is funny. I was about to create a thread about his interview. I enjoyed it. Since college he has always had a knack for turnovers and making the plays when it counts. Great football instincts. Good pick for the Bills. I think he may be nutty like Brian Cushing or Ray Lewis. Thats what you want for a linebacker. Hope he has many great games to come and is here for a long time, I remember the shoutbox was ripping this guy apart. Dont understand why.

Chan Gailey is a great offensive mind
Smears replied to ChallengeHistory's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
agree with gaileys tenure was spotty by his coaching staff. personally i like doug marrone. he is genuine, honest and wears his heart on his sleeve. for the seasons to come i feel he will get more respect anf will settle well in buffalo. it may not be a playoff year but i feel this will be the coach who can get us at least a playoff birth in years to come. hopefully sooner than later. -
i like how garrison sanborn gets tackles on punts. Glad stevie crawled on all fours for that fumble, otherwise we wwould have lost that game. Dumb decision to not accept the penalty to leave it at 3rd and 7. Take the yards, we are lucky that Kiko intercepted the ball. Proud of our secondary getting all those picks with WRs playing corner. I want Byrd gone. John Harbaugh is a crying little B word when he loses. I didnt know you could demand a 5 minute caucus with referees because John doesnt like how games turning out. That was a cheap shot on Manuel.

shut up. noone is afraid of easley. stevie can shake coverage and draws double coverage at times.

Too many draw plays. Not enough Jackson. -
Im starting to understand why the Bills drafted Manuel in front of this joke. Imagine him saying that here?
