I am used to it. Just don't do it again. Remember, she is my d-a-u-g-h-t-e-r. Youngest of three beauties who (as the ladies here will quickly inform you) get their looks from Mrs. Rock! Also: Maggie was on the ladies side. Daughter learned to do the straight razor shave by practicing on me. She has gotten very good at it. The Men's Club is great. I got a gift certificate for a haircut, shave, face wrap with hot and cold towels, foot whirlpool bath, foot massage, and pedicure (the footwork by a sweet young lady who was not my daughter). Even the chair I reclined in was a massage from the neck to the waist. I had an Irish coffee while waiting for the shave and Jack on the rocks for the pedicure.

My daughter, formerly known as "Pebbles", works in the men's salon at Shear Ego in Pittsford. Today she gave a haircut and straight razor shave to Seth McKinney. Said he was a nice guy (a gentleman). I had to laugh - she was so excited. She was too shy to ask for an autograph, and he was not in there to brag about being a Bill (for now). He did drop hints, but she felt funny asking if was a Buffalo Bill! Last week another lineman - Butler - was in for a haircut, but was not her client. I forget the name but one of the Sabres was in a few weeks back. She also saw County Exec Maggie Brooks recently.

Obviously the salary range is 5 years, $13 to $18 million guaranteed (the balance is invisible ink anyway). There is a "no lose" median here! I have not read the entire thread but anywhere between $14.5 to $16M guaranteed seems very fair. Sending Cousineau to the CFL ended up working very well for the Bills, BTW. Also, if this guy is THAT good (11th pick), let him play in the last pre-season game as a free ranger like Biscuit was to see what he has.

If you have not moved, I found your address. Did you move? I'll send a check right out.

McKelvin's first name is Hayzoos? If the Bills were losing by 3 TDs it might irk me. I see your point, but it did not bother me.

Anyone who starts the wave when the Bills have the ball should be immediately removed from the stadium. If they do it when the other team has the ball, just feel sorry for them. I hate it when there is ACTION on the field and people decide that is the best time to walk down those narrow rows, disturbing everyone they walk in front of, to go get another beer, or some food. These people must have no brains or manners at all. For the most part, having attended games for about 45 years now, not much surprises me or gets me upset. I just love being at the game.

I agree it sounds like grubs. You did not mention pesticides. Take a spade and check the sod, if it is grubs you will see them. What is unusual is that if your lawn has enough fertilizer and there has been plenty of rain, usually grubs will feast on the sod, but not actually brown it out. That is more common when it is very dry and the sod is weak. Sorry I was not much help.

OFFICAL GAME DAY THREAD: CHICAGO VS BUFFALO
rockpile replied to jax bill backer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is kind of funny. When Buffalo loses, there are a dozen posts saying "preseason does not mean anything." Well it IS preseason but this win STILL felt good! -
Love ya too, Harriet! Always look forward to that opening day hug! Have a great birthday - they are to celebrate (considering the alternative)!

Did I do the right thing?
rockpile replied to SageAgainstTheMachine's topic in Off the Wall Archives
You did your best at that time. Looking bad at it and thinking about how you might have handled differently is good. Worrying about it or doubting yourself is wasted energy. You tried to do the right thing. That is all you can ever ask of yourself. IF you catch him again, toast him. LOL Ya did fine Sage. Life is a carnival. -
I never suggested that.

I hope that if I live to be 90, no one looks back on my life with a microcope on my failings and an eye patch on my achievenments. I am very disappointed that after all these years, the Bills have no Super Bowl Trophy. I have been very critical of RW in the past about this, but I have been hoping he would make the HOF for a while now. Berman's speech (transcript) This made me be proud to be a fan of the Buffalo Bills. Brief excerpt: "Here we are in Canton, Ohio, 20 seasons after the Bills played in their first Super Bowl, 40 seasons after the merger. 45 seasons after the Bills won their first championship, and 50 seasons after the AFL started play on what seemed like a wing and a prayer. Ready at last to honor a gentleman 90 years young. If it is true that no one - help me out here Buffalo; okay? That no one circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills! If that's true, you know this is true. No one has circled the wagons like the only owner the Buffalo Bills have ever had. A founding father of the AFL, a man who served his country in the Navy in World War II. The man I am honored and humbled to present to you for enshrinement into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Mr. Ralph Wilson Jr." -

In the Raiders game, it should be further pointed out that they were "behind" the Raiders in the 4th quarter, but the score was Raiders 24, Bills 14 with only ten minutes left in the game. I specifically remember because it was a Sunday night, I was with a Raiders fan, and I looked at him and said, "ten points down, ten minutes to go!". Then the final score of 38-24 is even MORE amazing: 24 unanswered points in 10 minutes. I also remarked to my friend, after the final extra point kick when they played the SHOUT! song, that he must REALLY be starting to hate that sound.
