Another anal retentive tidbit: This was NOT George Halas' team yet. After being turned down for a tryout and roster spot with the Rochester Jeffersons he ended up in Chicago with the Staleys, named after the Decatur/Chicago Staley Syrup Company. When the Staleys wanted to sell the team, Halas bought it and changed the name to the Bears. He was a player/coach/owner for a few years. I agree with Ken. When the initial championship game was won by Buffalo, they should have taken the "trophy" home.

I used to have Knothole Gang tickets to Silver Stadium for my kids; they got in free and I paid maybe $3 each for general admission seats for me and the Mrs. I miss that stadium. Frontier Field is just not the same.

Less filling or tastes great?
