  1. Congratulations, a good day indeed! boopshoopshangalangadingabop Rememem Remememember Rememem Remememember Rememem Remememember Rememem Remember then?
  2. OK, truth be told, it was my great-grandfather Anders Johann Bengtsen who got screwed on the name. They changed it to Andrew John Benson. He signed his naturalization papers with an "x". Not that there is anything wrong with that.
  3. Me too! (except for the crappy music part)
  4. If that's the way you feel about it, get a nose ring for yours.
  5. You are talking to someone whose name changed from Bengtsen to Benson at Ellis.
  6. Thanks. Makes more sense than "good" to me.
  7. I was asking a question, to get people thinking. Now, Maundy Thursday makes sense. Don't believe me, google it (GG needs the nickels anyway). But "good" Friday makes no sense to me since it is said to be the day one of history's greatest prophets was nailed to a cross and killed.
  8. Besides being Friday, why is today GOOD Friday?
  9. Similar to MS, except MS attacks the nervous system. Your key word is "might"; wait for a diagnosis before you panic, and then don't panic, get educated. If it is lupus, it is probably good they dx'ed it early. They can begin treating it early too. Make sure her doctor is proactive in keeping it in remission. THAT is the key until a cure is found. God Bless!
  10. or maybe it was dessert doob!
  11. VATARA? I don't get it.
  12. I know I am not the only "Waller" walking, but I thought I would ask. In the past two years, TSW and friends have sponsored me for about $1,100 - GREAT JOB! If you are interested in sponsoring me, you can PM me your snail mail address and I will send you mine. You can also e-mail me rockpile@gmail.com. You can also pledge on line by folowing the link. Visit my personal page: Rock's MS Walk Page or my team page: Rock's personal page No amount is too small. If you already sponsored Chris - THANKS - it all goes to the same cause! I was diagnosed with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis in 1994. Since then, I have quit smoking, dropped 10 lbs, ran a 10K, hiked mountains from the Adirondacks to the Sierra Madres. I am still in remission, thanks in part to medicine that was NOT available less than a generation ago. With research and maybe some luck, I believe MS will be a curable disease one day; we will be able to do more than just treat the symptoms, or DELAY the next attack. Any donations to help that cause are appreciated. Thanks to my family and friends for their continuous support. P.S. I am a diehard Buffalo Bills fan, but my team is NOT affiliated with Buffalo Bills Boosters Club, Inc. (but I am a member)
  13. Great thread, but you are probably preaching to the converted. It is up to each of US to make TSW a better place. TGIF
  14. In a discussion about Barry Bonds, steroids, and steroid use in baseball, Smerlas said he never did 'roids. This was BEFORE Haz came out of the closet. Smerlas said that after 14 years in the league he did not get better, he got older and slower, as opposed to some of the baseball players who have possibly (innocent until proven guilty) had their careers surge as they approached their late 30's, because of steroid use. Kent Hull said he never did steroids either. I think anything we say is unimportant because we were not there; we have opinions but not facts. I think the stigma about steroid use today, even though they were not illegal in the past, is that athletes do not want their professional careers measured on performance enhancement aids, but athletic performance period. I do not undestand what point Haz was trying to make.
  15. It was a couple years ago. The Yankees got their butts kicked. I missed the whole opening with color guard, national anthem, jet flyover, etc. because my mother -in-law had an attack of agoraphobia when we walked out on the upper deck. We had to get her someplace where she did not think she was going to spin off the planet! I do not go to places like that with her anymore. I was pissed I missed the opening (and most of the first inning) but it is really hard to be mad at my MIL; she is a sweetie.
  16. Went to Yankee Stadium once. 4th of July. Yankees against Red Sox How American can you get?
  17. Last night on the WHAM 1180 Smerlas show, he denied ever using steroids, when the conversatoni turned to what was going on in baseball. Just repeating what I heard. I'd love to talk to him today!
  18. ...and apparently commit R rated acts. Since when is the statute of limitations on statutory rape 7 weeks? People wonder why I am an anarchist.
  19. You said "Rockpile", I said "what?"
  20. He owes us something; it is written in his contract. I think TD is doing everything he can to get the best deal he can for the Bills, and TH is not making it easy. TH has made it clear he does not want to stay in Buffalo and backup Willis. I wish him well. but I want the BILLS to get the best of any deal with him. I wonder if TH has figured out that if he does not PLAY in 2005, he does not get PAID in 2005. I think his agent is dumber than he is!
  21. Wow, dude, like do you want some peyote?
  22. I think it was the iambic pentameter that pissed him off.
