  1. Added photo to profile from August 2005.
  2. PM me. I think I know what you mean, but I expected it, given the comic book history.
  3. Tree Huggers International
  4. Looks fantastic (and has NO spoilers)! As a fan of the comic book (I no longer collect comics) The X-Men were always my favorite. They were always changing the team, and the teens at the school got older (not in real time) but they were not frozen as "teens". As long as Marvel Entertainment can put a $ next to the X there will be an X-Men Movie and a story to tell. I hope they keep on telling good ones. BTW: Going to a 10pm preview of V for Vendetta Thursday (check my avatar). I dug through my 40 year old archives and found the 10 issue limited series. I will read it this week to see how closely the comic book follows the movie. FYI: Alan Moore STARTED writing "V" in 1981, finished about 1988 (other projects and a child took priority) and the premise is quite interesting. I had forgotten much of the comic story. Interesting to see the story is set in the "future" - 1997.
  5. <bump> FYI: I currently have been sponsored for $125; about half from TSW - Thanks! My team page is worth a visit just to catch a peek at the beautiful Mrs. Rockpile! Bills Boosters Team - MS Walk 2006
  6. Excellent B&W movie with James Whitmore if memory serves me!
  7. You take what you can get as a fan to justify an otherwise BAD season. As a Bills fan I am sure you understand THAT!
  8. You probably parked your monkey sh-- brown Subaru on the corner of 5th and Vermouth, while drinking coffee that was too weak to defend itself, so you could deliver your emotional weather report at the diner! Waits was great in the 70's and has improved with age. Try WFUV streaming radio.
  9. They already didn't have a QB.
  10. It takes a special person to get 140 or more replies to a topic. Messiah or Assclown, congratulazioni, Soprano!
  11. Isn't that on your resume?
  12. Did you mean Joan Baez?
  13. March 3, 1923 I saw him play in Central Park the year he won his first Grammy - 1973. It was a triple bill: Doc Watson David Bromberg Band Earl Scruggs Review What an amazing sensation - country, blue grass, and folk rock under the trees with skyscapers as the background. Docs Guitar
  14. Did you read the poem? Have you heard the song? Great stuff! Now, where's that FU icon when I need it.
  15. It is all just a matter of taste anyway, right? I really like Nicholas Cage. I got a kick out of him in Valley Girl , I REALLY liked Face Off, City of Angels is a romantic fantasy about how much should be sacrificed for a perfect love....I have to admit I have watched that one several times AND have the soundtrack CD. Con Air was as good as any shoot-em-up can be expected to be.
  16. Seemed an appropriate diversion for a Friday! My analyst told me That I was right out of my head The way he described it He said I’d be better dead than live I didn’t listen to his jive I knew all along That he was all wrong And I knew that he thought I was crazy but I’m not Oh no My analyst told me That I was right out of my head He said I’d need treatment But I’m not that easily led He said I was the type That was most inclined When out of his sight To be out of my mind And he thought I was nuts No more ifs or ands or buts They say as a child I appeared a little bit wild With all my crazy ideas But I knew what was happening I knew I was a genius... What’s so strange when you know That you’re a wizard at three I knew that this was meant to be Now I heard little children Were supposed to sleep tight That’s why I got into the vodka one night My parents got frantic Didn’t know what to do But I saw some crazy scenes Before I came to Now do you think I was crazy I may have been only three But I was swinging They all laugh at angry young men They all laugh at edison And also at einstein So why should I feel sorry If they just couldn’t understand The idiomatic logic That went on in my head I had a brain It was insane Oh they used to laugh at me When I refused to ride On all those double decker buses All because there was no driver on the top My analyst told me That I was right out of my head But I said dear doctor I think that it’s you instead Because I have got a thing That’s unique and new To prove it I’ll have The last laugh on you ’cause instead of one head I got two And you know two heads are better than one.
  17. Pebbles will be 20 in 5 weeks! HB to your "baby"!
  18. If they stay true to the story and mood, this will be a fantastic film!
  19. Is this a rhetorical question? Get the oldest out of diapers ASAP! We have four - two a year apart and the other two over several years - so they are 19 through 29 right now. The oldest has five already and has decided that is a good number. Since you seem to enjoy parenting (I do) - CONGRATULATIONS!

  21. I hope this causes him to learn some lessons, even though it is the hard way. If he just gets it into his head that what he does CAUSES what he gets, maybe he can straighten out. Hang tough. You are doing everything you can. I have a friend whose son is about two years away from where Isaiah is now if he does not gets his sh-- together. I am sending this to him. Oh. and P.S. Buford, what is your point?
  22. Got back from Puerto Vallarta about an hour ago. Uncorked a bottle of Montepulciano D'Abruzzo (2004) Went to an all inclusive resort, so all week I have been drinking Pacifico, Dos Eches Lager, Sol, margaritas (on the rocks), Tecate, Corona, and shots of tequila. Sat on Los Muertos Beach the other night drinking "buckets of beer". Hard to find good wine at a cheap price in Mexico. A decent Chilean Merlot was going for $9 a glass! The funniest thing we did was go to a fiesta in Ixtlan, Jalisco - way up in the Sierra Madres. They put a ribbon necklace with a ceramic shot glass around your neck and keep filling it. Had a nice meal and several shots of tequila but no hangover. The secret is 100% "agave". Viva Tequila
