  1. Hyde essentially only did it for the playoff run.
  2. Just wondering if you can name a former All-Pro veteran who signed a contract at the end of his career with the intention to be on the practice squad all season.
  3. 13-year vets who are former All-Pros don't sign contracts with former teams to be on the practice squad all year and mentor younger players. If this was the intention, it would be unprecedented.
  4. What motivation would he have to do this, exactly? Is that vet minimum salary a PS squad player would make just too much to pass up? He was 100% told he would have a chance to play, and given how awful our current safety situation is, he likely will.
  5. I guarantee that they have some producer in their ear telling them to do it to sound more "authentic." When Joe Brady especially does it, it seems completely forced and unnatural.
  6. He was the best best player in the preseason. If those games matter at all to roster construction, he had to make the team.
  7. Well, the Bills and their fans kinda do deserve one at this point, right? And yes, the point of having a rooting interest is the hope that your team gets to the top one day. It's just bizarre to me that some have this attitude that you should just be happy and content that they don't suck for a change.
  8. Hard Knocks showed that the "walk" to the field from the locker room is so long that all they players use motorized scooters. This is a different situation than a player being carted off the field on a game.
  9. We're playing Tampa this year, right? Probably not going to do anything substantial in regard to playcalling.
  10. Kinda wild the drama that has surrounded that guy the last few years. He seems like your neighbor that brings bratwurst to your cookout and never says or does anything controversial his entire life.
  11. Yeah, there's nothing wrong with it all. People are comfortable with whom they identify. Goes beyond race, too, sometimes. Fred Jackson was a GREAT player, but he was truly beloved by Bills fans because he was the ultimate underdog playing for an underdog city. Probably wouldn't have had the same emotional attachment if he was a Cowboy.
  12. I thought he was a very serviceable guy...but kinda thought he was a little overrated here by fans, to be honest.
  13. "Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Beeeeeels." I actually liked both of those guys just fine.
  14. During the drought days, I one time successfully convinced my dad, who was not a gullible guy by any means, that Spero Dedes rented an apartment in Buffalo during the season just to avoid having to fly there 6-7 times a year to call games.
  15. If they're truly blitzing a lot, then they're the worst team in NFL history at it.
  16. Don't worry, guys. McDermott has some boilerplate, uninspiring locker room speeches queued up along with multiple studs in the secondary who are subpar players but know the system. Santa Clara, here we come.
  17. That's me every time I see a highlight of the Norwood kick. McDermott is pretty milquetoast and not a very inspiring speaker, but it hasn't seemed to matter before. I think that element of coaching might be overrated at the professional level.
  18. Ed Oliver was a lot better at remembering his horses' names than Antonio Cromartie was with his children's.
  19. There were tons of bandwagon Dallas fans in the 90s everywhere. A loathsome team cheered by generally loathsome people haha
  20. He should be. He's gotten everything he's wanted and more regarding the defensive line, and he and Beane continue to unearth one undersized stiff after another. He's gotten everything he's wanted regarding the secondary, and it's filled with mediocre and below-average vets and young guys who are always hurt. If the defensive s**ts the bed again this year after they refused to allocate any resources to help Allen, it will be all on him, and he knows it.
  21. A game they were dying to blow, by the way, until a Mark Andrews drop bailed them out.
  22. What is the argument here? That because he was the victim of an unfortunate freak accident (that ended up turning out okay), he just automatically gets a roster spot in perpetuity?
  23. Looked like he came up lame there
  24. Some real pinpoint passing by Buechele on that drive.
  25. Yeah, a lot of guys seem fairly unconcerned that a last place team from 2024 clearly has a deeper backup roster than us.
