  1. Going up by 7 against a team who hasn't sniffed the endzone in 3 quarters is not a bad spot to be in, I guess.
  2. Derwin James is a great player and was pretty much can't-miss coming out of school. Taken the pick after Tremaine Edmunds. Whoops.
  3. Name a single time a vet signed on for the playoffs to only hang out in the practice squad. Has never happened. He was promised a chance at getting back to the field at the very least.
  4. He's kinda boom or bust. Sometimes he'll make a throw that is just unreal. He's clearly talented. I'm happy the Miami front office didn't listen to Flores - he supposedly wanted him over Tua.
  5. He will make an appearance in the postseason - on the field.
  6. I'm a big believer in teams taking on the identity of their coach, and it's interesting that the Bills, who seemed tight and embattled over the past few seasons, now seem to be a lot more loose this year.
  7. Yes, quoting rap lyrics was an unforgivable sin to the same people who are fine with guys like Brandon Marshall (multiple arrests for beating wife) and Michael Vick (dog-fighting vice lord) getting media gigs after "redeeming" themselves. Allen had over 50% more total TDs than Lamar last year, Lamar still won MVP, and there was no rioting then.
  8. A big element also is that Allen is a tall, good-looking, All-American type, and this is the exact type of person that a lot of journalist dweebs really resented in high school and still dislike now. It sounds ridiculous, but a lot of people never get over stuff like that and misremember perfectly kind people as villains because they took their crush to prom or because of something else equally meaningless.
  9. It's going to be an uphill battle because Wilson has looked brutal the last month and their best offensive player is the biggest headcase in football, HOWEVA, if they can get some turnovers, who knows...
  10. Stats didn't matter last year and that's why Lamar deserved it in 2023, but stats are the only thing that is important this year and that's why Lamar also deserves it for 2024. Three MVPs with his overall resumé is beyond laughable.
  11. Supposedly the other owners immediately let agents know that his contract with Cleveland and trade haul would not set a new market and to not even dream of expecting anything similar just because the Browns were stupid.
  12. They did bring him back for something, because I remember seeing videos of him with Fred Jackson and Shawn Nelson wearing their throwback jerseys and throwing the ball around in the stadium parking. A lot more deserving players for that honor than a malcontent who quit on the team, by the way.
  13. The whole "Bills Mafia" deal has brought with it a lot of cheesy pageantry that this franchise used to be immune to. This is the kind of crap that low-rent NBA franchises do.
  14. They finished four games behind Minnesota in the NFC. In a vacuum, if you take all the wildfire stuff out of it, this isn't a huge injustice.
  15. Again, I do not believe he decided to come back just to be a "veteran presence in the locker room."
  16. I would love for this to happen, but we all know if the Bills win the Super Bowl, it will be in the most arduous fashion imaginable.
  17. Great post, and it's been a problem for years. Our closest guy who fits this bill is probably Taron Johnson, who obviously doesn't affect games at a level like Jones, Bruce, etc.
  18. Active roster on a Super Bowl contender means a lot of potential bonus money. Plus you get to actually dress for the game, obviously.
  19. Or maybe our 2008 Montreal Alouettes-style throwbacks
  20. In all fairness, Rob Johnson essentially won that game.
  21. The officiating during that whole game was sketchy. They had a team in a new city, in a new stadium, with new uniforms - all of that had to be sold to the public. Can't have them getting upset by the small-market Bills.
  22. Four road playoff wins over two seasons seems like more than luck to me.
  23. Taking Mark Sanchez to two AFC titles games, after beating Peyton Manning and Tom Brady on the road, is possibly the greatest coaching achievement of this century.
  24. The 2 seed hasn't gotten a bye for 5 years, and we've been the 2 seed for 4 of those years. It's truly comical how luck shakes out for the Bills.
  25. I was clearly referring to fans who are completely content to watch them win a wild card every year and don't view winning a SB with a once-in-a-lifetime talent as being terribly necessary. Giants and Patriots fans have seen their teams win multiple SBs, by the way.
