    The amount of people on this site who talked themselves into a "new" McDermott was hilarious. One of the more stubborn coaches in recent memory. Won't change a single thing.

    We always look panicked on offense. This is what happens when your HC hires toadies as coordinators rather than real coaches.

    The coach wants a ball control offense even though he has one of the most gifted passers ever. This is why he butted heads with Daboll. He doesn't want to pass consistently.

    McDermott teams usually always get smoked against physical, well-coached teams.

    Tonight's going to be a nice reality check for all the McDermott acolytes. Defensive coach who spends virtually all offseason resources on defense, and the defense still sucks ass.

    It's what McDermott wants. No risks. Does that mean he treats Josh Allen like Russell Wilson? Yes, it does. It's criminal. And he and Brady were doing it last year too.

    "Josh, you've probably never heard this before, but we're going to need you to score like 35, 40 points tonight. I know, I know...you're right, we did allocate nearly all offseason resources to the defense, but, uh, we still need 5 or 6 TDs, boss. We got you Josh Palmer, what more do you want?"

    He hasn't grown, though. At all. Still runs the same defense that folds every year in the playoffs, still calls the same stupid timeouts, still can't figure out when/when not to challenge, still has the team playing tight in big games, etc. He is who he is. If they don't get to the Super Bowl this year (and I don't believe they will), you have to try something different. You can't just keep him forever and underachieve because you're worried that the NFL will never again have a new HC that ends up being good. This is irrelevant unless we're talking about a tee-ball squad.

    I don't know why you guys torture yourselves with this stuff. This team loses 1-2 games in stupid fashion every year that kills their chance at the 1 seed, and this year will be no different.
