  1. His UGA days are going to allow him to get absolutely loaded doing that job in Atlanta. Nice fallback to have.
  2. Nice work getting that done almost a month before the season starts. Plenty of time to get him up to speed. Glad he's on the team; he's a weapon.
  3. Agreed, and I was glad to see a practice get a little chippy. This team needs more of that, IMO.
  4. It was amusing, but I think I'm all set on that storyline moving forward.
  5. It's tough for a show like this to be super illuminating in a world of constant up-to-date news and coverage from social media. You just already kind of know everything about the team. I do wish there was less fluff and more positional camp-battle stuff, but McDermott would never allow that kind of access, so what can you do?
  6. I always wondered why he never wears short sleeves, even when it's hotter than hell outside (e.g. early season games at Miami). There's the answer, I guess.
  7. Roger Goodell did too, and this was after both Buffalo and Cincinnati pretty much guaranteed him the starting job. How people feel about Vick is irrelevant, it was absolutely absurd that the commissioner of the NFL was able to essentially force a player into signing with a large-market franchise as a backup rather than go to a smaller market to start. This should've been a HUGE scandal, but it was the Bills and Bengals who got screwed so nobody cared.
  8. When Stafford is "on," he's as good a passer as anyone in the league. Look at the game against us last year for example.
  9. Is this the guy who has like 10 siblings? I thought they mentioned that in the broadcast Saturday?
  10. Allen got them a few years ago by telling them how great the wings were at Room 40.
  11. Beating the Chiefs would be special, though, because it would stop them one step short from being the second team to make four consecutive SBs.
  12. I actually like McDermott as a person and think he is a great coach Monday - Saturday. He has too much control over both the offensive and defensive play-calling, though. The team is built in his image - good, even great at times, but not willing to step outside the box enough to get over the hump. Very reminiscent of Schottenheimer and Dungy.
  13. It is still jarring to see the Bills and their players in national campaign ads.
  14. Everybody on earth knew it was coming too. There is never anything in the playcalling on either side of the ball that's remotely aggressive.
  15. They're playing hardball with Cook because they don't value the offense at all. He's the only elitish weapon that Allen has, but they're willing to lose him because they don't mind making things more arduous for Allen. The defense always takes precedence. That why Cook hasn't been extended but guys who dissappear for weeks at a time like Oliver and Rousseau both immediately got extensions.
  16. It's still hilarious that McDermott oversaw a QB competition between the worst player in franchise history and the best player in franchise history, and he came away from it declaring the former to have won. What an eye for offensive talent!
  17. Mainly Bills teams, but I would be interested to see if any other teams poured as many draft picks and free agency signings into the D-line as we have over eight seasons only to have one guy record 10 sacks or more during that period.
  18. Yeah, and it needs to happen kinda organically. The Mr. Brightside deal now feels pretty forced and a little lame, if I'm being honest.
  19. I honestly have to question the overall fandom of anyone who doesn't care if their team wins a championship or not as long as they're "exciting." You can be grateful that they're good and still want to shoot higher than winning Wild Card games.
  20. I've never seen a team in my life go through more defensive lineman without finding a consistent pass rusher. Hopefully Bosa can fill that role and stay healthy all year, which is a big ask.
  21. That was awesome, good for him. Amazing how much kickers have improved over the last couple of decades. Wasn't too long ago when everything over 40 yards was a toss-up.
  22. It's the preseason. When the real games start, he will button up and switch to Zyns like a professional.
  23. I'm well aware. The question is "Why?"
  24. What's so ridiculous about it is that anyone carving out a couple hours in a Saturday in the summer to watch the game is a die-hard fan. They don't care about fluff; they want to watch and hear about the rosters. That's it. Don't want to hear how the stadium is coming along (I'm sure it will eventually get built), don't care about the Hallmark movie (you can watch it when it comes out months from now), and don't care about interviews with veteran players about their thoughts on the upcoming season (they think things will be great).
  25. Looked a little slower than last year, I thought.
