  1. He was always a slightly-above average player who was constantly hurt with Carolina and especially Washington. Seemed like a panic signing just to get a veteran wideout on the roster.
  2. I don't even want to mention it, but kicker issues almost always rear their head in the postseason.
  3. In a vacuum, I think Josh Allen is probably the best football player I've ever seen. I turned 41 this week, for reference.
  4. I loved the typical Bills game drama. "Hey, we're up by double digits with 2:39 on the clock, can we find a way to lose?" I love them, and I hate them, and I love them again. God help me.
  5. If we make the bowl, it's gonna come down to Bass, right. Feels destined.
  6. Ty Johnson is the most reliable player on this team. I will sing this to the hills.
  7. Translation from Fallujah: "GO BILLS"
  8. God, I love this team when they're zoned in.
  9. Ty Johnson is the most reliable player on the roster. Consistently gets it done.
  10. Elam is playing for his career, either woth us or elsewhere. I'm expecting good things from him.
  11. 34-31 Bills. Book it.
  12. He works wonders in the secondary, but with defensive line and our few LBs, the philosophy seems to be less about making impact plays and more about keeping in position, for lack of a better term. Getting tired of hearing about how guys like Ed Oliver and Von Miller are actually playing well because they're staying in their lanes or occupying blockers effectively. That was never a standard for guys like Bruce Smith, Warren Sapp, etc. I'm not expecting everyone to be Reggie White, but I'd like a Phil Hansen.
  13. I like what Ben Johnson said after his gold medal was stripped (paraphrasing): Reporter: "Do you feel guilty about cheating?" Johnson: "If everyone else is on stuff also, is it really cheating?"
  14. Brett Favre gifting Michael Strahan that sack to get the single-season record was a bad moment in football history. Gastineau was before my time, but I still remember watching that travesty with Strahan and finding it to reprehensible.
  15. I miss those Jim Schwartz and even Rex Ryan defenses a lot. Can't stand this reactive, bend-and-sometimes-break Cover Two crap we play right now that results in zero pass rush and virtually no blitzing. It's pathetically unaggressive.
  16. That was the Divisional game the year before that got Schottenheimer fired.
  17. Norv Turner, a crappy coach, took San Diego to the AFCCG which they lost to NE in Foxboro by single digits when: - NE was undefeated - Rivers was playing with a torn ACL - Tomlinson didn't play most of the game The Chargers never recovered because their window passed. That window coincided with being coached by a regular season winner who couldn't get to the Super Bowl with a number of great teams.
  18. My theory is that they are going full-time to either the 60s or 90s throwbacks when the new stadium opens and are trying to build as much desire for them as possible from the fans before the rebrand.
  19. Yeah, let's pump the brakes until we're sure she won't try to broker a trade to LA the second Matt Stafford retires.
  20. I can't believe the Bills fans on this thread who insist that they don't lose in insanely improbable ways at any higher frequency than any other team. I'll just assume they're 15 years old.
  21. The fact that McDermott clearly hasn't learned a single thing over the last few years regarding clock management and timeout usage is very troubling. Couple that with the fact that he is a defensive coach whose defense routinely disappears in big games - games where he seemingly can't make adjustments at any point - and you have to ask yourself where he is actually contributing. There are lots of guys who can consistently go 11-6 or 12-5 or whatever with Josh Allen as their QB In a relatively weak division. I'm not sure how much longer he can hang his hat on that.
  22. If they don't win a Super Bowl during the Allen era, it will be a tremendous failure. I know the drought was brutal, but this attitude of "Everything is gravy as long as I get to see them win an occasional playoff game" is maddening.
  23. McDermott coaching in a close Super Bowl is going to end up with me spending the night in jail and/or having a massive stroke.
  24. Exactly. And it was obvious that was going to happen.
