  1. He's not a free agent
  2. The bold confused me. Just admit it - you're excited to see Tyrod play and you should be. He had one hell of a year and he's worthy of our high expectations. We're afraid to go out on that limb because of all the crap we've been through - but Tyrod is worth it. He's not going to be a bum and flake out. He's good and it's just a matter of how good. Enjoy it - we have a good QB with potential. Let's let him play and have fun watching him grow. He doesn't have to be Joe Montana next year but he's our future.
  3. Probably easier to tell by the hands for someone that knows him better.
  4. I don't think anyone thinks Fitz is the answer. It's just a funny thread about whether it would be worth it to block the Jets. Of course it's not but not much else to talk about in July.
  5. Of course - but I'll give credit where it's due. He wasn't just some running scared QB. He's a legit weapon that defenses will have problems with. I also know he did enough work over the middle that has me feeling he can. He played within the system and it didn't ask him to much - that's very typical for a rookie QB (I call him that). We are very fortunate to have him in terms of hope. I can't think of a better scenario than a rookie in terms of playing time with the combined benefit of NFL coaching/learning experience. This young man did some extraordinary things last year. We're a group of fans that have built a tolerance to disappointment and it's difficult to have any other feeling than to believe it when we see it. However because of that hardness we're also having trouble understanding what fantastic things he did to earn a little more belief from us than he gets.
  6. I'd say he is too but when you consider cutting EJ means his salary counts equally against the cap - it doesn't make financial sense.
  7. Go look at his game logs. He did it every week and we played some good defenses. Why didn't they figure it out? They saw it all last year. It's because he isn't easy to contain. Of course teams will game plan and look back on what he did to figure out what their going to attempt to do. Won't be easy - because he's a big problem to worry about.
  8. What an amazing rookie season TT had
  9. The media doesn't go easy on any athlete whether it's warranted or not. They've just gotten ridiculous and they aren't judged on being factual anymore.
  10. I'm sorry but that's just stupid if you look at our draft position and the likelihood of that working out. I really knew what you were going to say - but wasn't sure if you would let everyone know how flawed you are in your thinking.
  11. So what's your suggestion to find a QB? Tank to get the top 1 or 2 pick?
  12. Nah, she's a little soft for a pro tennis player I didn't know she was born in Buffalo (1994). I honestly didn't know they were in New York that long together.
  13. You can't talk to the people that think this way. They just think you decide to try and you get a great QB - they believe it's a mindset.
  14. There's also value in him playing this year vs getting a draft pick
  15. Clearly what's changed in the NFL is finding RB's is hard and takes up too much time vs QB's which is easy.
  16. At the same time Pegula doesn't look like she's quite in shape enough to be a top player.
  17. Obviously I or none of us condone domestic violence. It's a fact that there have been men accused of doing it and later it's found out that it didn't happen. What I don't understand is why there isn't charges brought on the false accuser.
  18. I believe Fred burned a bridge with Whaley as others have suggested and I was glad to see him go - but his receiving numbers last year really surprised me. I think he could be a 3rd down passing down blocker and catch some balls out of the backfield. However I do believe that ship has sailed. I definitely do not want Boobie for one simple reason - I never ever want him to get one carry. So even in an emergency - I don't want him touching the ball. For me it comes down to one of two things; do we need an immediate back up to McCoy or do we just need a 3rd or 4th string guy / someone to bring in for competition? If Karlos so far in the doghouse that he won't get the opportunities to play when he returns -or Jon Williams isn't able to be the #2 yet - then I'd want to bring in a vet. If Jon is ready or can be the #2 until Karlos returns then I want to stay with what we have and let Wilder and Gillislee battle it out for depth.
  19. That's exactly what I'd want. Hardly ever ever run the ball. Come in on third down in spot duty to block and/or catch passes - something he did to my surprise very well last year.
  20. You could very well be correct but it is still early in the off season. If he doesn't sign this off season I don't believe he'll get another shot - age and 2 years removed along with how rookies contribute now being the reasons. The off season can be used as a sort of buffer to explain to the public why you signed him and give a little time for it to set in with people that would object. I don't see a mid season signing.
  21. I'm sure you're right that some teams have blacklisted him but I doubt the NFL is, can or should tell teams they can't sign him. If you believe he's genuine in trying to atone for his behavior by dedicating his salary - and you believe he can still effectively play football - I think a team should sign him. One because of second chances and two because that's a heck of a lot of money to go towards a charity that helps with domestic violence.
