  1. This is what happens when you don't find a QB. It leaves you wondering who's fault it is. I get the feeling Allen succeeds no matter what Daboll does or doesn't do, etc. I think he's going to make several guys very wealthy.
  2. I sometimes cringe when our greats of yesteryear opine or are seemingly too involved> This feels a little different. When one of the great leaders at his position says this: I need to tell him some things that I saw that he was not doing that he needs to make sure are instilled in his mind, that I don't know if he's been told. I go find out what he says he saw. Sometimes it's those moments of something said just the right way or shown in just the right light - that can make the biggest difference.
  3. Who's his brother? Guess the joke flew over your head, haha.
  4. I don't know who else they have to sign but they gave big money to Hightower and Gilmore. I would think they'd try to sign him.
  5. Are we sure he's been with Palmer? I thought I read something about him resting since the end of the season?
  6. I really like this post. I agree that it's critical to have a handful of special players that can change the game for you.
  7. I'm with you on Ansah. He'll get some sacks but he doesn't put pressure on the QB consistently throughout a game. I don't know how we get one but I'd be willing to spend in FA or a high draft pick on someone that gets after the QB.
  8. After you find your QB spend the most on: DE Corners Wide Receivers OT
  9. I'll give you a hint. The fake quote wasn't in the espn piece......
  10. So there's no correlation to causation? Got it.
  11. He was a pretty amazing athlete for a man his size and ridiculously strong. Just goes to show how incredible these NFL players are - when you can make an athletic massive human being look totally inadequate.
  12. That's an awful lot to pay. You can sign a free agent that would be better than that second round pick for the Bortles money.
  13. Nah man, don't be ashamed of it. We're a team totally void of offensive players that can change the game. If one becomes available we should always be interested.
  14. Ok. You said don't be surprised - I most certainly would be.
  15. Sorry I missed that part but my second point still stands. If a coach is out of challenges the Saints debacle could happen again. It's a tough issue to fix.
  16. I believe there's no chance of this happening.

  18. The only thing left to determine with your solution is how many times can you challenge the calls you've described. If it's unlimited the games would be incredibly long and if you limit them, you may not have a challenge left. For example say the Saints didn't have a challenge left when that pass interference wasn't called? It's a tough problem to fix.
  19. The only rule I want changed is to allow the players to be on the field of play without their helmet on.
  20. They have a mechanism in place through the challenge process for calls that are made. The real challenge is what to do about calls that aren't made - that should have been.
  21. How do you fully believe this? This is exactly the point I'm trying to make. We really have to stop making these wild assertions when we don't have a shred of evidence. You went on to say our head coach seems to be having trouble attracting top coaching candidates. WR coaches are often jobs given to those that haven't yet proven themselves. They are often entry level positions, where the candidate is taking that job to prove themselves worthy of moving up the coaching ladder.
  22. Well it doesn't appear it will matter. I don't see anyone beating NE.
