You realize how many OGs in the league played OT in college and shifted to OG in the NFL?

Reader is one of the best young DTs in the game. Reader can move up and down the line and brings some juice for a man his size. Star is not good, and Phillips is a third rounder coming off an ACL injury. Neither one of these players should in anyway, shape, or form preclude the Bills from adding a 25 (will be 26 when the season starts) stud to their team if the opportunity presents it self.

Internally there’s some love for Tee Higgins
BillsFan17 replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Higgins is does not have the route tree, nor the ability to really separate well. I love Higgins for his hands and his ability to win contested catches, but hes behind a handful of more well rounded WRs in this class. I also have to agree with Marino to an extent, that Higgins doesn't really fit the Bills offense well, especially with Allen's erratic deep accuracy. I wouldn't be upset if they snagged Higgins in the second, but at 22, that would be a hard pill to swallow. Not remotely close, Stevie had great short area quickness and was a very slippery player underneath. That is is the exact opposite of Higgins. -
Josh Allen working out with Pittman Jr

The Bills have heavily invested in state of the art sports medicine departments/facilities. Players/coaches have raved about how much the Pegulas have invested in sports medicine. Yet, a poster is going to rile a bunch of people up, because that poster doesnt like Allen's physique... really folks? You genuinely think this staff would allow Allen to be out of shape? Moreover, the fact that a quick glimpse picture is what we are basing any of this off of. Get off the internet folks, go outdoors, make eye contact with a stranger, idk... just do better -
Justin Jefferson should be our WR target at 22
BillsFan17 replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yet, there are those who rate Ruggs as the best WR in the class. Therefore, the whole, huge drop off thing is a bit of a stretch. Moreover, the way this class is discussed, is there clear separation from the top three to the rest of the class, yes, but let's not act like the rest of the class isn't historically deep. -

Michael Thomas- OSU Julio Jones- 'Bama ODB- LSU Hopkins- Clemson Keenan Allen- Cal Robinson- Penn State Boyd- U of Pitt. Robert Woods- USC Godwin- PSU All-in-all, I too would stay away from the big schools when looking for WRs. That being said, sarcasm aside Rhode Island has a kid Isaiah Coulter that could be a big time sleeper. -

To me Jefferson projects as a high end slot guy. Which, let's be honest a lot of players have made very strong careers lining up as a slot. The position has evolved. To be honest, if the kid ends up massively productive as just that, a slot, are we really going to gripe? Especially with how Daboll has helped Josh in the short to intermediate game. Yes, we want that dynamic homerun threat, but having a sure handed, nifty route runner who is going to move the chains and be a redzone mismatch, I'll take that all day. -

With the depth of this class you absolutely could wait until the third or even fourth. I'm sure everyone is going to have different rankings on these kids. What I have truly enjoyed is seeing everyone make their case for their guy. And there have been a lot of varied and justifiable arguments made for a lot of these prospects... it's truly an incredible class. -

Maybe trying to connect too many dots, also, no reason to take Pittman that high. -
Will Cody Ford Be Our Starting RT Next Year?
BillsFan17 replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All depends what lense you want to look at things. Especially when Knox had the memorable play. Seldom is anyone watching the O Line, let alone have the faintest idea what the assignment is, etc... I think Ford will kick inside and be a stellar guard. -
Bills create a “Nickel Coach” position
BillsFan17 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like the idea, seems to be showing initiative to keep pace with evolving offenses. We have drafted players specifically for that role, might as well dedicate the coaching to it. -
When I see players like Hyde and Poyer talk about how Milano makes their jobs easier, in turn allowing them to make plays... combined with Milano having the numbers/film to back it up. You know they arent just pumping tires, its genuine, and I think we saw the drop off in the D when Milano was injured. Point is, I'm not about to take this defense for granted, and players like Milano are key kogs. They are a testament to drafting well and developing talent. I dont think hes as easily replaced as some other clearly feel he is. Neither one of those players warranted an extension.

What's interesting tho, if you listen to some of the guys over at the Draft Network, I think it was Solak talking about how Jeudy didnt have to win against to many different coverage in a sense because of the talent around him. Defenses had to adjust to the countless weapons Bama had, which didn't allow defense to use certain coverages against Jeudy. Jeudy is an absolute specimen no doubt about it, but in the context of the coverages he saw, I think its important when factoring in his release off the line.

No, maybe we can undo the Oliver pick because once upon a time we drafted a top tier DT in the fifth. Why waist a high pick on a DT, when you can just find them in the fifth. Your logic needs to be put thru to the front office. Especially when you use a handful of examples of players who arent as good as Milano to make your case for how replaceable he is.
-
Some will fall victim to circumstance, that's natural. But I'd the argument is, we cant pay everyone, I'll understand that conversation. Thinking, hes just a fine a dozen LB is asinine. Milano is easily one of the best off the ball LBs. That being said, again if it boils down to only being able to pay certain guys, then it is what it is, but I'm not just going to let a stud core D player walk under the assumption hes easily replaceable.
