  1. 1) Never judge a CB by their INTs. Plenty of top tier CBs never had a high volume of INTs. Mainly because teams respect them enough to not throw their way. 2) Teams will target our CB2 because Tre will essentially force them to. We saw Levi Wallace get exposed at times this year, for that exact reason. Yes Norman isn't going to be our lockdown corner, but that doesnt mean he can be void of ability. 3) Norman is years removed from McDermott's time in Carolina. A 26/27 year old, in his prime Norman is not the same as 32 year old Norman coming off of some of the worst football of his career. I appreciate what Beane and McDermott have done. They have earned our trust, but they haven't exactly hit on every FA, and the deal given to Norman, has absolutely zero guaranteed staying power. For all we know, dude could be cut before the season. I would love nothing more than for Norman to work out, ball out, be a stud, and help sure up that position, but to act like hes anything more than a HOPEFUL reclamation project is fooling ones self.
  2. Massive hit to their line, but they are a very good drafting organization. Obviously Yanda will have immense shoes to fill, but again, the Ravens draft well... Will be worth keeping an eye on how they patch that hole.
  3. This is sensational, what should be a non topic is this many pages deep!?!? One clown shoes poster says hed take Minshew over Allen, and we entertain it? We dismiss how awful PFF'S takes are, but one comment about Minshew over Allen gets validated? What goes on
  4. The Bills fans base is amongst the most passionate. They know, if they need clicks/traffic to poke at the fanbase. Its hook line and sinker everytime. Basically they are trolls, they admit it, and they wont stop until Bills fans ignore their rhetoric.
  5. Aiyuk is one of my higher rated specs, both doubt about that, but I'm just having some healthy debate. That's all.
  6. A drop is a drop is a drop. Whether you are veteran or new to the position. They all count the same. Barring market share. I can see what you are saying that Aiyuk is still learning the position. If nothing else, that to me would make it less of a knock on the drops opposed to a more seasoned player who might have developed bad habits. Aiyuk still learning could potentially clean up those mistakes. I think Aiyuk has the makeup and film to holdup as a back of the half first rounder.
  7. You are 100% right and we saw teams pick apart Levi at times because they wouldnt throw Tre's way. Moreover, Levi's lack of athletic ability showed up and showed his limitations. Something Norman lacks, athletic ability....
  8. Aiyuk does not have a refined route tree, that's one of the smaller knocks on him.
  9. Like I said yesterday, Forbes is not a legit source.
  10. I agree, I think there is a strong possibility they look to draft someone. There are some really good corners in this class too boot. I have really fallen for Hall out of Virginia.
  11. In no way, shape, or form is athletic ability ever not important for skill positions. Yes, in a zone scheme isnt not as relied upon, but you absolutely still need athletic ability. This is why Levi Wallace struggles, hes limited athletically, this is something Joe Marino has touched on a handful of times. Dismissing it is painting a rose colored glasses narrative that just isnt true. Would I like to see Norman succeed, surely, but with teams absolutely shying away from throwing Tre's way, you need a good CB2. Can Norman be that, maybe... doubtful
  12. I mean Jeudy had his share of drops as well this past season...
  13. All this banter back and forth for a guy who may not even make the team. Moreover, I'll bet my bottom dollar that if Norman makes the team its because McDermott was able to revitalize at least some form of ability. However, with how absolutely awful Norman was in Wash, all the excuses in the world wont get that juice/step back... so let's not act like this is a good or bad move until we actually get to the season. This signing will in no way preclude the Bills from addressing the position further, as they see fit.
  14. I am a massive Shenault fan!!! I agree tho the injuries concerns are def reason for caution. I was pounding the table for him at 22, but this recent core injury has really put a damper on that.
  15. Agreed, and you can maybe make the case that teams like the Saints may look to grab a WR as well right behind us.
  16. Let it not be forgotten that Carr was also handsomely paid once upon a time. Its how the market works sometimes. The evil you know is better than the one you dont, and even marginal QBs seem attractive to franchises because it's better than not having one at all...
  17. Truth be told, the case could be made for Aiyuk at 22. Same for a lot of these guys, surely it would be better in the second round, but it's entirely possible they are gone by then.
  18. You know you dont have to comment on my posts, right? Seems to attract you an oddly specific way. If nothing else these threads are fantastic for me. I absolutely love the depth of this class. I enjoy seeing everyone have different favorite prospects. Further probes my point of the depth of this class. So, you couldn't be any more wrong. Move along.
  19. Absolutely awful
  20. Chad Forbes is not a legit source and the reports of Williams resigning were infact false.
  21. So, I have seen stan posts for Jefferson, Aiyuk, Reagor, Pittman Jr, Mims, Claypool, etc... Yet, there are still so steadfast that unless we get one of the top three, we arent getting a legit spec. Interesting.
  22. That's fair, but Higgins doesn't necessarily have that top end speed that's going to help him gain separation on these routes. NFL corners are vastly different than NFL corners. I mean, against OSU, LSU, and FSU higgins managed combined 120 some odd yards and zero TDs.
  23. You are one of a very very very small group of people that think Ford is/will be better at OT than OG. A good amount of his scouting reports (draft year) even alluded to Ford potentially being better off kicking inside. So I sincerely doubt his draft stock would have taken a hit if he was considered a guard coming out. As most projected he would have a better career at that position. One of the best linemen in the league Nelson was a OT at ND, yet everyone knew he was going to kick inside, and he was selected where? Not comparing Ford to Nelson, just pointing out, projecting to be better inside than out, is not necessarily going go hurt someones stock.
  24. What I have enjoyed the most in some of these threads, the player comparables based on nothing other than size. As if everyone with the same build, will ultimately end up being the same player. It's a hell of a way to evaluate and I'm here for it.
