  1. Of all the Saviors we've met so far, Gavin seems to be the most level-headed, rational thinking one of the bunch. I loved him making the guy with the Mack Truck Mudflaps walk back to the compound because Gavin clearly wanted to kill him! The pacing of this show was a little slow for me, but I can see the plot finally moving forward again and that's good. Scott Gimple had his fingerprints all over this episode again though. As stated earlier, when he strays from the source material, he seems to get a little ham-fisted with scenes. The trip to deliver ONE melon was either a power-play on the Saviors part or, just lazy writing on Gimp's part. Dollars to donuts Mudflaps is going to be one of the first non-walkers that sees the business end of Morgster's former-bow-staff-turned-spear.
  2. Do they hand out old generic looking baseball cards from the 80's on these flights? On topic: Agree with Delta and definitely Virgin if you can swing it.
  3. Freakin' Scooby... Forgot about that jabroni! I remember so much hyperbole from him (is it hyperbole that I accused him of "so much" hyperbole? I think he was giving us live updates from one of his "dates" on a Friday night! I also think he was the one who started the epic thread about "Volunteer firefighters intentionally starting structure fires?" Smokin had a great post one time in a OTW thread about flying in sketchy weather. Something about telling the pilot as he boarded the aircraft: "Get this mofo up and get this mofo down in one piece and don't worry about how I'm doin." In all seriousness I miss this guy. We would go at it quite often, but when he was sick a few years ago, I sent him a care package of history of the AFL books and a bunch of loosely poured in gummy bears and candy corn (which he hates). LSI was always entertaining. Young man showed some cajones for posting as much he did. He took quite a beating for a young buck, but always came back for more, until one day....
  4. Haha!!!! That old chestnut!!!! For some reason I think that's going to be the new reply to any "hot for _____" post!
  5. If Beerbawl can become a mod, ANYONE has the potential!!! Oh wait until the new guys meet Chef!!! Hey new guys, be sure to offer Cheffy as much advice as possible. He's always asking what other people think about things! Congratulations Common... that's comment of the day for me!!! That's a rational fear to have! If you go in there, wear a cup and a helmet, it ain't for the faint of heart. "Abandon all hope, ye who enter" seems appropriate. Oh man, Jimmy Spags! I never engage with him, but he is by far one of my favorite things about Jets week! He's got to be someone who's a regular here, but I don't know who. Spags is great and Nanker, you just imitated him PERFECTLY!!!! ^^^^^^ This. I took a two-year sabbatical due to some personal stuff going on and only came back last winter, but man I missed some of the guys. I've been gone a long time and it's good to reconnect with some of the regulars and new posters. BTW new guys, mead is our resident "birthday guy" he checks regularly to see who's birthday it is each day and he seldom fails to send at least a message sending well wishes. That's a special thing about this place that I'm glad to see continued upon my return. I'm by no means an active regular, but I check in on the Off Topic daily. You'll find that I seldom take myself or most topics too seriously (thus my signature line) but I really like this place and have become close with a few people here. Never met anyone face to face, that I know of? Stick around though, we'll grow on you (albeit like a planters wart).
  6. Ernie is also Kermit the Frog ya know?!? SAME SHOW EVEN!!!
  7. Welcome back CBF!! Glad to hear things are looking up!
  8. I saw that this morning and thought, "dammit, someone is gonna call me on that!"
  9. oh boy... Oh that's where I am!?!? Yes of course, it all make perfect sense now!
  10. What is this debate over Kate Upton? While on my hiatus/sabbatical did someone have the smoking hot take that she's a fat pig face?
  11. I said to my wife when I saw the flash mobbers, "There a tractor pull in WNY that's missing about 50 to 60 spectators."
  12. Let me give you some advice, the phrase is "time FLIES way to damn fast." *runs and hides* On topic: I love how people misremember and think we beat the Russians in the gold medal game!
  13. The Scavengers might be... no Spiky Walker is... no the way Jadis communicates was... GAH!!! That whole episode minus Carol and Darryl reuniting was just annoying as hell? Top of the trash heap is "up, up, up?" The flash mob made up of the Scavengers discount Cure roadies reminded me of the Ohio State Marching Band, I was waiting for Father what'shisbucket to march out with a tuba a "dot the I" at the end!! By my tally there's three dudes vying for Carol's heart... this going to end up like the last scene in Blazing Saddles. Why is Rosita trying to make me dislike her!?! She's so freaking hot, but her butt-hurtness and stupidity has cost one life already.
  14. Jesus... that's absolutely heart breaking. Like Pooj said, "I'm sorry" and a few other spots in that feature got me right in the damn feels. The lady who cleans our office needs to do something about the excess dust around here. Hell of a way to start out a Wednesday. My thoughts are with the family... dammit... that's awful.
  15. Wow! Resurrecting the New York Giants!? That's pretty interesting. In an alternate reality, Buffalo would have finally had a few championships finally!! This is a great find dhg!!! Thanks!!!
  16. I said the same thing to my wife, "Wow explosives really are expendable in a post-apocalyptic world." But the "trip wire" made for either the best and/or most hilarious zombie kill I've ever seen!!!
  17. Oh man, I totally forgot about that!! I was in high school at the time and way to wrapped up in my own myopic world to remember much of that. Didn't he also have some kind of strange thing about air travel as well?
  18. Haha! Me too! I think part of the reason I order the same kind and amount of drinks at the local bar is so I don't have to strain to read the check, I already know exactly how much it is everytime!
  19. I'm right on the cusp on needing glasses for reading I think. That or I need longer arms so I can hold the phone, book, menu farther away! I wanna get a pair of those horned rims likeJim Harbaugh has recently been wearing.
  20. NO DAYS OFF!!!! NO DAYS OFF!!!! NO DAYS OFF!!!!
  21. Morrison is a great town, but be prepared for the real estate prices. It's like monopoly money out here. The sentiment the guy shared with you is so typical for Colorado... "I'm here, but no one else move here after me." If you ever seriously consider the area, hit me up, I'll be glad to share whatever I can. That being said: HAHAHA!!!! Number 11 my ass!!!!! Public transportation is a joke. Real estate is falsely inflated. Urban sprawl is out of control. No east/west arteries. Horrible layout and planning for roadways. Serious lack of road maintenance. All the flavor and originality of an Applebees! Colorado Springs at number 11 is just laughable. Denver and Colorado Springs, et al will still piss and moan that they aren't number 1.
  22. Damn auto correct on my phone!!!! Yes, New YORK seltzer! Don't have it out here in the land of "this is incredibly average and mainstream." Price Chopper... you must live in the capital region?
  23. Shopping down the soft drink aisle at the store this weekend, I got to thinking about Zelzter Seltzer and New Your Seltzer! That was good shiz back in the day!!
