  1. In the event that there's actually evidence and he has to go to jail, you mean? Probably. There is likely some sort of contract void in this scenario, but I'm guessing.
  2. I wouldn't doubt this for a second. Shockingly, the video of the actual fight is missing...
  3. Oh, so a classic case of us vs them. We're cops so we are above the law type crap? I find it VERY HARD to believe that these cops were behaving completely innocently and just happened to not remember to file a report until the next day...
  4. If true that they were off-duty, and just bar patrons, I find it pretty crappy journalism to continually say "officer" or "officers". It is clearly a misinterpretation of reality. If they were real estate brokers you wouldn't see, "Sources say the brokers suffered fractured skull..."
  5. Actually, assault is the correct term. Last time I checked you cannot get charged for BAR FIGHT. It's not exactly a legal term.
  6. Didn't watch the game, but 3 INTs has no effect on my opinion of Taylor the same way 3 TDs wouldn't. It's the pro bowl. It doesn't matter.
  7. how many wins are those worth?
  8. This perfectly states my frsutration with this discussion, and why it's kind of sad how defensive and polarizing the topic gets everyone. It is not Pro-Tayler vs Hate-Taylor. I believe that it is more Realists/Skeptics vs Belivers/Apologists. If I'm not at all moved by Tyrod's reserve pro bowl spot, it doesn't mean that I hate the guy. So by this logic you would rather have EJ Manuel than Cam Newton?
  9. No way. People are allowed to have doubts. You listed a bunch of excuses, but even looking past that... of course Tyrod played well (better than expected for sure), but man oh man you're being really uptight if you think no one is allowed to doubt his ability to be good enough to win consistently.
  10. Did somebody say urgency? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kv3kX8UgLiY
  11. I don't remember saying anything about EJ Manuel in this thread.
  12. You and I have such different ideas of success. You celebrate stats and pro bowls. I celebrate wins, and basically that's it. The reality is we (as a team) did not improve this season. I have made many arguments about Taylor not earning his franchise QB status down the stretch with failed late game opportunities. I felt he left a lot to be desired at the end of games, and I've gone into detail on this topic. You will look to stats (inflated passer rating, lack of INTs) to disagree, but again, we lost those games. You want to celebrate a reserve spot in an exhibition game so much so that you assume it justifies something, even after FireChan (I can't believe I am saying this) fed you proof that it's essentially meaningless (50/50 toss-up at best) to distinguish a QB based on his first year pro bowl status. I have said that it's possible that Tyrod could improve in the tangible aspects of the game, and of course I want him to succeed. I am confident he's hit his ceiling and we'll see as he enters his 6th season if that's true or not. I don't think he's nearly at the level I see you CONSTANTLY attributing to him. As a final note, it's so difficult to discuss this topic with you. You often try and demonize me in all of your posts, and it's very tiresome. I see that you cite my posts as if they're somehow going to embarrass me, even though it just reiterates my opinion. It's often hard to tell that people are allowed to think differently than you based on your posts.
  13. Massive? Honest question, do you intend to incorporate so much hyperbole in your posts or is it just the way you normally speak? It's a misinterpretation of the word, and implies that the team's offensive improvement was great as opposed to average. Last season the Panthers averaged 21.3 PPG and this year they lead the league with 32.2 PPG. That's a massive improvement. We did not have that type of turn around. This has been yet another mediocre season.
  14. Maybe some of us are older than 12 and don't give a crap about the pro bowl? I think it's great for Tyrod, and he should be super confident going into the preseason, but you'd have to be pretty clueless if you base your opinions of players on whether or not they make the pro bowl.
  15. I would love to go for two more often, but some people are overlooking the difficulty of achieving it at a high success rate. Another note: I don't think coaches spend enough time practicing the two-point conversion or the onside kick, so I have little faith in those situations. I think those are situations that are treated as rarities that come down to chance, and are often misunderstood for their ability to be well rehearsed. For example, when a coach calls a jump ball to their top receiver on a 2 point conversion I can't help but feel they weren't prepared enough for the situation.
  16. If you're keeping the OC, why not just keep the HC (the one that's proven to have won superbowls) AND the OC?
  17. If you treat PSLs/tickets or merchandise as an "investment" to the team (which of course you can't - there's no precedent, but bear with me), then this man lied to people to get their money despite knowing full well there were talks to move the team. Essentially, had he released this information in definitives (confirming the team will stay in St. Louis) prior to collecting season ticket $. It's crooked business. It would do a lot of good if this type of thing was more severely frowned upon as it's deceitful and a form of financial fraud. Of course this suit will go nowhere, but by no means is it frivolous. I contend that there's a lot of value in attempting to hold crooks accountable.
  18. Good. They should sue them. Greed has no accountability in the US.
  19. My only thought about this, and it's purely speculative... But if Rex made the decision not to retain Henderson, we can assume he needed to approve/discuss with Whaley. I'm interested in what Rex could possibly said, making the argument not to keep the position coach for our only defensive unit that knew what they were doing (for the most part). Again, it's purely speculative...but the Rob Ryan move, the removal of Henderson...it just seems like Rex is really having his way and it won't be long until Dareus and other players that don't fit his scheme are removed. It's been said that Tyrod was Rex's choice as well, so who is in charge? I mean...Rex brought the Jets staff over, he refused to coach to the strength of his players, he hired his brother, he removed the DB coach and he picked the damn QB. Is Whaley a figure-head GM? What's going on here? It sure would be a lot easier to swallow if the team didn't play so poorly down the stretch (Chiefs, Philadelphia, Washington) in games where competent coaching could have gotten us wins.
  20. So don't read it. You thought 17 pages in we were going to evolve into a well balanced discussion where the merits of all parties involved are equally considered and everyone's opinion is valued? Come on, dude this is a football message board. Go grab a beer out of the fridge , turn up your foreigner cassette tapes, and ignore your family while we spew vitriol daily for the next eight months.
