  1. After a narrow victory in 1994, Boston Bruins defenseman Al Iafrate was asked why, in the closing moments of the game, he had fired the puck around the boards rather than into the empty net. His reply?: "Empty-net goals are for faggots."
  2. I completely agree with you that Tyrod should be challenged for his roster spot, but maybe not this next offseason. Mostly I want to use a Rd1 or Rd2 on a QB and bring him in. EJ is fine as the QB2. I'd prefer to DEVELOP a QB. Tyrod gets next year though I'm not holding out too much hope that he'll see more of the field. You can't deny him the offseason as the QB1 that's how we got into this mess.
  3. QB2 is one of your top priorities? Are you kidding me?
  4. Fitzpatrick has all day. Our D is really sad once you commit to the pass.
  5. I'm not surprised at all. You can't win if your QB thinks he can outrun a whole team rather than pass as intended.
  6. Tyrod plays it safe, thinks he can outrun the whole team again. Would love to see the WR option on that trick play. Tyrod plays not to lose, then inevitably loses. Gotta go for the win.
  7. lol at everyone constantly posting in here that Fitzpatrick is about throw an INT. Tyrod should pay attention to how Ryan stepped up and was not bewildered by the blitz there.
  8. Why does Tyrod create a phantom blitz on 3rd downs? Need to climb the pocket. Had plenty of time to get a throw off.
  9. Well, we are constantly lining up in jumbo packages...sometimes only one WR sets. If there is a WR2 its been Hogan or Salas, so I'm not sure if Roman is being smart or if it's being done by default. I give them no credit for taking 17 weeks to figure out the obvious.
  10. Uninspiring 2nd and 3rd downs from Taylor there. Glad to see us pick up the 4th.
  11. The shotgun sweep is becoming Hackett-esque
  12. This game is on Tyrod's shoulders now. No RB's. For all of you that say he can take a game over, here's his chance to prove it.
  13. Chris Hogan, practically inventing ways to let the Bills down.
  14. Where did I say I that I wanted Russ Brandon overruling the GM?
  15. I think this is where the problem lies. Where did I say he hired Gailey? You think of Gailey as Nix's fault, but that blame ends there. That's not inaccurate...but: 1. Brandon hired Nix 2. Nix reported to Brandon 3. Nix recommended and interviewed Gailey 4. Brandon approved the hire I find it hard to believe that the person you say is responsible for business decisions did not vet and approve of the face of the franchise, the head coach, arguably one of the most important business decisions.
  16. I love that the poster with the biggest propensity for one sentence posts tells me to be specific. I know one thing he did that I'm sure you didn't like... He interviewed and approved the hiring of Chan Gailey What do you think is Russ Brandon's role with team?
  17. What? He's the President and Managing Partner of the Buffalo Bills. He is responsible for the success of the Bills. They have not been successful. How do you have a problem with that? Stockholm syndrome is right, you're a lost cause man.
  18. Our defense was phenomenal last season, especially down the stretch, and certainly capable of winning. Mario Williams was not hurting the team in anyway last season. If we had a shred of offense we would have been a playoff team.
  19. They'll probably try to get him on their team as soon as possible so that any competent coach can get him to get to the quarterback. Mario had no insubordination with previous coaches. Rex comes in and it's a nightmare and you guys are pointing fingers at Mario Williams. Laughable.
  20. Pathetic. Rex Ryan ran a guy out of town that had a 14 sack season the year before. Remarkable mis-use of talent.
  21. Do you understand the difference in the roles between the janitor and the team president? If the janitor hired a senile Marv Levy, Buddy Nix, Chan Gailey, Doug Marrone and Rex Ryan, I would want him fired, too. It is incredible that Russ Brandon with his role would get a pass from fans thinking he has no responsibility for this mess. You're way too hung up on the draft thing, and I think you're using that to deflect from the fact that a top executive for this franchise has been in charge for a decade and his number one goal is winning and making the playoffs (something he has stated a billion times), and he literally has not come close. Not once. Flame on, if you must.
  22. Beyond his general dishonest persona (I'm not trying to be baseless - but seriously he oozes corporate shill)... Without really digging up all the things he's said while trotting out his new head coaches, or the times he's spent praising the Toronto series for regionalization, off the top of my head he lied pretty consistently about the "analytics" department, which was nothing more than a marketing ploy.
  23. I dislike his entire persona, his lack of honesty and accountability and it's difficult for me to accept the laissez faire management style you attribute to him. I am not saying he's literally selecting the draft picks, I'm saying that he has a strong voice with the team, and there's no stronger indictment than his involvement with the coaching searches. I think he has a lot of say and it negatively impacts the team. Is that better?
  24. Really? Even after the Sabres promotion? What would have to happen do you think for him to figure it out?
