  1. Yeah, we are losers though. Seems fitting.
  2. The bench, yes. But you gotta walk on mats to get to the bench.
  3. Both are terrible games our team should have won. I think we screwed EJ and I'm willing to move on, but don't tell me he could never develop into what was happening at the QB position today.
  4. Hey it's only fair...EJ got pulled after going 2-2 and winning a week 1 road game.
  5. You mean when you went all-in on John "I can't make a CFL roster" Skelton?
  6. You forgot... 11. Lyrics to some 97-Rock-Esque song
  7. Hey, hey...take it easy. He had 111.
  8. I've always been on the fence with Taylor. I'm still not going into full, "he's not the answer" yet... ...but this is what a full offseason as the anointed one looks like? Reps with the first team all through camp? Guy was afraid to toss the ball more than 5 yards down field and when he did his accuracy was worse than EJ's. I hope it was just the opening game jitters because I saw no fight in this dog today.
  9. So now it's not even that he's the marketing guy. He's just the bellboy, folks. He's only there for accommodations, move along, there's nothing to see here. I did not say he had final say or anything like that...I just think know it's absurd that he is heavily involved in the discussion at all. We've been below average for 16 years. He's been in charge for a lot of them. Them's the facts jack. I don't want to re-hash this debate because we are just never going to agree on this one.
  10. Careful... Brandon apologists are aplenty and they'll be quick to inform you that he was only in the final player cut meeting to mention some new marketing ideas.
  11. Yay, another opportunity to pile on and hate the backup QB. Most of you are just as delusional with your extremes as well.
  12. As the dude that famously wanted us to make a serious trade for Skelton (literally out of football [failed to make CFL team]), I'm genuinely surprised that you think your opinion on QB evaluation has any merit whatsoever.
  13. Goodwin had a good game and we blew out Rex. Not sure why the above is such an insult. Maybe we should be more concerned that Rex's vaunted defense lost big with "EJ at qb".
  14. Could happen to anyone. Of course it keeps happening to him, so...
  15. ...we don't have 11 pages of people complaining about them selling the rights. It's about the amateur-hour last-minute graphics they've plastered on the front door.
  16. Do you really not see the difference between the badge style stadium logo at Mile High and the hat advertisement at our stadium? You don't need to have a simple typeface in order to have a good design (although that would probably work in our case). At least you agree our new billboard isn't classy.
  17. Who is arguing against the new stadium name? This is about the billboard sign. I'm thinking it's probably temporary, so there's really not much more to say about it, and I hope they come up with something a bit more tasteful for the Stadium's major entrance sign.
  18. Yes, buying the naming rights is an advertisement, but you don't see giant 50 foot razor blades next to "Home of the New England Patriots" in Foxboro. You don't have to make the front door of the stadium literally a grouping of your new hats for sale. Some have said this is only temporary, and I hope that it is. It does look like a billboard. There's no arguing that (and I do believe that's the point of the whole thread). I think you're more justified in this thread than 90% of the useless opinions on the board during the offseason.
  19. If the OP's message is simply that he thinks the sign itself looks like garbage, I agree. I welcome our new corporate overlords, and think we lucked out with our new stadium name (heck, the raiders play at the "O.com Stadium") The advertisement on the back of the video screen is pretty hideous. For a company all about branding and style, they really should have just slapped their logo on the back with a black background or something. Simple will always be better, and trying to promote a specific product on the main stadium graphic is really lame. Here's my quick 3 minute mock-up: Edit: There are those making the argument that every stadium's name is sold essentially as an ad, and while you're technically correct, you don't see giant 50 foot razor blades next to "Home of the New England Patriots" in Foxboro. You don't have to make the front door of the stadium literally a grouping of your new hats for sale. Some have said this is only temporary, and I hope that it is. It does look like a billboard.
  20. Again...it's mind-numbing the 2013 QB situation could be justified at all. Kolb went down early and we essentially were down to just EJ. He had plenty of time (an entire season) to fill the roster with QB's other than Thad Lewis and Jeff Tuel.
  21. I don't disagree with you that Marrone was all about Tuel, but why does that mean Whaley is absolved of blame?
  22. Ringing endorsement for Spikes.
