If the Bills lose tonight...
Homey D. Clown replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love the optimism, but why is it that other teams can find ways to shake the proverbial rust off faster than this team? this team should never have looked that miserable against an average at best opponent. the defense played adequately, but just like a Fitzpatrick comeback attempt, they fell short at key moments. -
If the Bills lose tonight...
Homey D. Clown replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I had them at 5-11 quietly, I don't see where this team resolved all the consistency and talent gaps issues they had from last year. I am not one of the cool-aid drinking fans that think Taylor is a franchise QB. I don't see any real benefit yet from the Watkins pick, he's been fragile at best. McCoy has yet to look anything like he did in his glory. There are literally no other receivers on this team that would start anywhere else in the league. The defense can only do so much, and when they are not at their best, they actually cost the team gravely with stupid penalties. Someone with any sense please explain how on earth anyone really thought this team was even close to contending for a playoff spot. Be calm now cool-aid drinkers... use facts please. Try and explain how sub-par talent at every key position was going to get this team past 6 wins. -
RG III Named Browns' Starting QB
Homey D. Clown replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
is this even news really? well, it is the Browns.... so... -
No... he stunk.

While I thought he was good at times, and managed 3 consecutive 1000 yard seasons, I think he was slightly above average as a player, at best. he proved that by bombing out after leaving the Bills. 1. He never came through in the clutch to win games 2. He was not a true leader 3. He wasn't a true pro bowl caliber player at any point in his career. If it's now "The wall of average players" then yes... add him.

A Look Back at the Stevie Johnson Trade
Homey D. Clown replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Stevie was the only receiver that had chemistry with Fitztragic. He literally bombed out once he left Buffalo. I think his shelf-life was exactly 4 decent years. Whaley traded him right when there was a little value. I truly don't think he'd still even be on the team this year. -
Best Fan Bases in the NFL - Ranking
Homey D. Clown replied to May Day 10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
when your team is a literal turnstile at all the key skill positions for 20 years, yeah, jersey sales and other things will suffer. the paytoilets have had bellicheat and tom-softballs-brady locked in for 15 seasons. We had Losman, Fttztragic, Cap'n checkdown, and many other useless, nameless shitbags at our key positions. This survey is about as useful as an extra golf mask on gameday. I'd be waaaay more interested in a "Biggest D-Bag fans" ranked list. -
I can't say EJ, I just never saw him as an NFL player and didn't even think he was going to get drafted, by anyone. so....solely because of the Bill Walsh endorsement alone, I'd also say Trentative Edwards. He even started out looking more capable that JP Losman at the time. then..... like every other QB since Kelly..... thud.

Bills ought to bring Michael Vick as consultant
Homey D. Clown replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
wow... considering he had a 53.8% completion percentage during his Atlanta days, arguably his "best", what other factors would make anyone even think he was ever a good QB? Not only that, but he threw a whopping 52 interceptions during those years. yeah, let's bring him in, he was on the cover of Madden once, so.... yeah. -
First time in years I'm not as hooked.
Homey D. Clown replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hate to say it, but if you take the Bill Polian/Superbowl years out of the equation, this team is one of the worst NFL franchises in reagards to winning percentage, winning seasons, and Hall of Famers. It's staggering that before that, OJ simpson was the only one. Let that sink in for a minute. Why is this year's version of false hope any different than the other 40+ years of misery? I love this team, and always hope for the best, but in truth, it's been a pretty crappy NFL team for roughly 4/5 of it's existence. I **** you not. -
Pats once again makes NFL change rules.
Homey D. Clown replied to PO16FFS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd say the organization's attention to the details that can give them an unfair advantage. -
don't care. He lost in his bid to move the team to TO. I'm on to Cincinnati.

30 for 30 four falls of Buffalo
Homey D. Clown replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I really appreciated some of the segments, and I will agree, there will never be a better team in sports that has connected so deeply with it's fanbase(us)..... but... reliving some of those moments really was hard to take. The pain I endured as a Bills super fan at the time we lost those games was excruciating, and it was nearly just as painful watching that special. I watched it, but like all 4 superbowls, I probably will never watch it again either. -
Honestly, I'm somewhere in the middle. Expect the worst, hope for the best. watch the games, even after we're mathematically eliminated, just because I still have a home team to watch. I'm not exactly bashing all the Optimists here, just the ones that bash the negative Nancys, and not even seriously bashing you guys either, I just thought it was fun. Both views on this team will, and have been 100% accurate by way of the team always going roughly 8-8 every year. Let that fact marinate a little.

SI.com: Is Tyrod Taylor a One-Year Wonder?
Homey D. Clown replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Right now he's really more a "One Year Mehh" Her really needs to do a lot more to be a wonder. -
What about the equally annoying "Obnoxiously Obtuse Optimists" ??? I am not exactly a doom-sayer, but come on... this team has wallowed in stupidity and played punching bag to the PayTiolets for the better part of two decades now. Exactly how does that even come close to inspiring any real optimism, especially when year after year, this board is alight with blind-faith, blue sky optimism with little more than a few roster moves, maybe a signing of a washed up high priced free agent, and a bunch of gutless puffy chested tweets from a few players about how great they think they are? Before you reply and bash me, step back, and just look at the last 20 years of nonsense we've endured. If I'm even close to wrong, then I'll take my lumps.

Great post, worth reading, but my pessimism is running amuck this season, so while I love the optimism among media folk, I sadly expect nothing more than another 8-8, 7-9, 6-10 campaign. for me, it was extremely hard to watch a team with arguably the best defensive scheme in 2014 get dismantled. My brain still hurts over that. I would love to be wrong here obviously.

It's Official: Beast Mode is Done

I could not agree more with you on him. He had a couple of highlight reel runs and that was it. -
Absolutely!
