My biggest concern with giving a guy that has such limited coaching experience an entire offense to run is how diverse will his play sheet and play calling be. Will he have enough credibility to have an offense buy into what he is preaching? It’s not as though he’s worked under some offensive gurus either.
It’s a cautionary tale. I’m sure it was a collaborative effort but I tend to think the guy designing the offense and calling plays should get more credit. Like Daboll and Dorsey.
Klint Kubiak if you’re looking for a name. It’s hard to be less qualified than a guy who only has 3 years of coaching experience, 2 of which were as an assistant WRs coach.
Good against the run but not a consistent pass rusher. Said it all along that he’s not a guy that’s going to win off the edge and get to the QB with any kind of regularity. He’s a good player for what he is though.
The Saints are a wonderful example of my point. They’re $84 mil over the cap this year and already $40 mil over the cap for 2025. A mediocre team with a mediocre QB and little to no star players is not a franchise I wish to emulate.
There’s no chance. What team is going to trade for a WR on the wrong side of 30 who looked like he was a shell of his former self? Not to mention his contract and the fact that it’s going to be a loaded WR draft class. It just doesn’t make any logical sense.
I wasn’t overly impressed with Brady even after the bar had been set so low after Dorsey.
I hope McD, assuming he’s still here, doesn’t just take the safe route and actually interviews legit options.
