The running game has to be there vs KC this week.
Livinginthepast replied to Toyo321's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Saturday night was either a purely tactical decision not to run at all. Or it was a stunning indictment of how bad our run game is that they only used it as a last resort. After some thought, I think it was the former and I think for the most part it worked. I do hope though that the run option is there if we need it. -
All three of our receivers (Diggs, Brown and Davis) have made full on drops in the two playoff games. but its only Duke that ever got hell for his play! Out of the three drops the Davis one was the most difficult but still nowhere near the catch that Duke was meant to make against Houston last year. I actually think that the last gasp pass in the end zone by the Ravens on 4th down Saturday was more near the difficulty level of the Duke Houston play and the Ravens TE (who is pretty good) couldn't bring it in. The criticism against Duke for supposedly dropping an easy pass that lost us the game vs the Texans is beyond stupid. Davis has been really good and I agree , the future is bright!

Reid running Mahomes in that situation in that game was one of the most epically stupid offensive calls in years. In regards to the debate about the choke hold or neck pinch, both are ridiculous. He wasn't choked and the only possibility of losing oxygen to the brain like that is if he took a blow to the windpipe, which doesn't happen on that play. what is more likely, is what has been said by others on here already. A concussion where the brain moves a bit and hits the inside of the skull. That would account for the visible symptoms without the huge blow to the head!

Mahomes concussion updates
Livinginthepast replied to ColoradoBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Concussions are really weird and everybody reacts differently. I had a goalie in my hockey league years ago who took a puck off his old school 80s cage and was stunned for a minute in the game He played the rest of it and seemed fine after when we all had a beer. Later he developed a headache and puked and was taken to the doctor by his wife. Diagnosed with a concussion. He missed two weeks of work and never played hockey again. I really hope for Mahomes sake that his doctors do the right thing or he could have some permanent damage for life. -
It should have never mattered that he fumbled that ball because the hit was a text book example illegal helmet to helmet hit right in front of the official who HAD to have seen the Cleveland players whiplash move of his neck as he was hit. Just unbelievable how none of these officials called it. Game changing hit and it was clearly illegal!
