  1. I see the idea of trading Diggs but what is the dead cap that comes with doing that?
  2. He had it great with the Rams but not so much in NY. The Cards not bad either, but no where as good as TB.
  3. Possibly so. In the JA/Rivers thread I used him as one of my examples
  4. Normal price for the ball is $20 a dozen. So the logo is free and it supports a good cause.
  5. Tom is great no question.... But name a QB that had better career circumstances than TB in the history of the NFL.
  6. Buy the JA Bills mafia golf ball to support his charity. https://www.oncoregolf.com/products/josh-allen-mafia-nation-ball/?fb_adid=23851573991170641&fb_campaign=LocalTarget-MafiaNation&fb_ad=Local-Mafia-N-ad-V2&fb_adsetid=23851573874800641&fb_adset=Local-Mafia-N-adSet1&fb_campaignid=23851573874600641
  7. I hate that QBs are evaluated like they are in a vacuum!!! Of course the QB is the most important player on the team, but there are 52 other guys on the roster. The 53 man roster is only one part of the organization. When a great QB is part of a great organization, great things happen. Too often the QB gets too much of the fame, or the blame. A few examples to discuss Lets start with the "GOAT" Is Tom great? no question, absolutely!! He was drafted in BB in his first year as the coach with a team that was in a downward trajectory. As a rookie Tom gets to get a full year of development and does not have to take a demoralizing beating. Year 2 wow, comes in and is great. It was also the second year for the team under BB who in of course one of the greatest coaches in history. We all know the success that the Pats have had. Over that time the Pats had an elite defense in mot of the years, very good run game, and special teams (2 Hall of fame kickers?). I recall a number of playoff games won in OT or FGs with no time on the clock. In that time the Pats were caught cheating how many times? We all could go on about other things TB benefited form. But lets take Tom out of the equation. He was very durable over his time, but when out the team was still very successful. Matt Castle went 11-5 and he was what a very low end starter or back up QB in the NFL. When TB was suspended for cheating the team went 3-1 with Jimmy G(2-0) and Jacoby Brissett(1-1). Brissett was the 3rd string QB and had a broken bone in his throwing hand when loosing to our Bills. Brady goes to the Bucks, a team where he takes over for a not great QB that threw for 5100 yards!! Also the team was able to add a lot of great talent that year. Next example Mahomes, he is great no question. Drafted by another Hall of fame coach, and one of the greatest offensive minds ever. Gets a redshirt year, and takes over for the "beige Impala" of QBs who took the team to the AFC championship game. Next example Manning again great! The Colts were a great organization. If he ended up going to the Chargers would we view him the same way? My opinion no. When Eli was in the draft it was said he would have refused to go to the Chargers because of a conversation Eli's father Archie had about quarterback Ryan Leaf's experience with the team. So, Rivers is not held in the same hight regard because he has no rings. If he played his career for the Pats would he have some? I think so. When saying JA = Rivers it is unfair to both...
  8. In fairness it DS, I dont think the team has a good run scheme. That said I dont think he is a true #1 back, but would sure like him as the #2.
  9. The difficulty in replacing Brown next year is who is available and at what cost. I dont think it could be said that RT is the missing link on the team, so what resources would it take to get a real improvement. If they try to draft his replacement the best shot is at the end of the 1st round. Last year 5 OL were taken in the 1st round and 3 of them in the top 10 picks. So, maybe the Bills could get the 4th- 6th best OL prospect in the draft with their pick. It would be hard to think that there is a notably better prospect than Brown if they dont trade up. Any OL in the draft that is a off the bus starter will unlikely be gone when they pick. Of course there could be a great prospect on the board but not likely a sure thing. With their first pick I would like to see them take the player that they think has the best possibility of being a star, regardless of position. Finding his replacement as a free agent would be expensive. Any tackle that is considered good will not be cheep. And, we all know the Bill are tight on the cap. We know Brown has the physical tools so the idea of him taking a step forward in year 3 is not completely unreasonable. Im not saying they should not try to improve the position but dont think they should use a lot of the limited resources on a flyer.
  10. Question to the OP. Brown was a mismatch. That said of the 39 pass plays how many times did Brown get help? If Brown got beat on 18% of the pass plays, It would be nice to know what percentage of the time he got help. That would give some clue to the job the coaches are doing in regards to game plan and adjustments. 80% of the pass plays the O-line won, does not sound too bad.
  11. He has shown that he has a lot of guts. Like to think we could put a guy out there with 2 arms tho...
  12. Play the lower seeded teams and not having to play in the opponents stadium...
  13. Since last weeks game is a no contest can Cole be called up again?
  14. Ive always thought that the championship game should be at a neutral field. I dont think it is fair for 1 team to have the advantages of a bye week, play one less game, and have home field. Teams in a conference dont play the same schedule, so a team could play in the weakest division, play the 2nd weakest division in their conference and the weakest team in the other conference.
  15. Not going to lie, when I saw the play and the guy celebrating afterwords I thought it should have been a flag. And shocked that the colts did not rough the clown up a bit. Also, was disappointed when the Bills didnt check Gronk for his cheep shot.
  16. It pretty funny how some guys are acting like we gave up a 1st round pick for him... He is a practice squad player!!! He is not even taking up a spot on the 53 man roster. Considering we have 2 WRs from the opening day roster on IR, Im happy to have him!
  17. So after 2 years he walks away with 35 million, not too shabby...
  18. He might play due to injuries at other positions. We know Phillips is out and not sure about Milano. He might dress due to the numbers game... And if he does dress he might play in man coverage situations. The good news is that we have a corner of his ability that might not be active on game day...
  19. So, Fisher just signed how well prepared will he be? Miami is staying out west this week, not a good week to come in and learn the offense. How long will it take to get into game shape?
  20. I thought I saw 1 play last night with Hines and cook in the backfield, could be some interesting wrinkles down the road...
