  1. Didnt they also already start handing some of the AV stuff too? I was pretty shocked at that. I'm sure Turner Construction knows what they're doing. Not their first rodeo. But both seem risky this early.
  2. I am on the young side of middle aged. A friend of ours turned us on to the Wings lot years ago and we haven't looked back. Great tailgating atmosphere, but on the family friendly side. Real bathrooms. A bar inside with TV's if that's your vibe. Easy exit. But a little bit of a hike. Once in a while we'll park at Hammers, get closer, or head over early and hit a more rowdy lot.
  3. Hard dislike on this. I don't love the blue helmet in general. Especially if we go back the the 90's/Giants uniform for this. The City of Buffalo flag is pretty sweet. It's has lightening bolts. They could do a riff on in in red white and blue with the skyline and that could be cool. Maybe toss some Zubaz in there? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Flag_of_Buffalo,_New_York.svg
  4. Agreed. I'm also not gonna sit down and watch a 3 hour reveal of a calendar. LoL I will F5 all night though.
  5. I'm surprised at the lack of leaks this year compared to others. Also a 3 hour schedule reveal is bonkers. Almost (but quite) as bad as the "The Decision".
  6. I don't even get a sniff of Ramsey in this interview. He sounds pretty playful and smart. I thought Starks came across really well. Good kid. He said he wants to pick off Allen because he has a bunch of friends on the Bills. Malaki basically said "it would be fun to beat my friends on the Bills" Ramsey said Allen was trash. IMO this is a total non-story. Timestamp is around 5:10 https://youtu.be/IueRXT77hfU?si=PO7VRTE5303nus5D I highly doubt that anybody who actually watched the interview thought the kid was coming at Allen with anything but respect. What a BS headline. He was super friendly.
  7. Zubaz would be a great get for the Bills honestly. Make the restripe on the Buffalo Zubaz, and the stripes on the jersey? Or maybe the numbers? IDK. But if they go down this road and do it right, they won't be able to keep them on the shelves. I hope it isn't some riff on chicken wings. Ugh Reverting back to the identical jerseys to the NYG, errr I mean 90's Bills uniforms would be super "meh" to me.
  8. I think they were taking one more shot going down the vet QB route. The DK trade was to lure in Rodgers. But to me, trading Pickens and Watt would be early signs that Rodgers is out and they're chasing draft capital for next years draft class. By all accounts next years QB class is much stronger. So they have some ammo to go get a guy.
  9. This is exactly where I am at. Even if he doesn't fall off a cliff, getting a 2nd is worth it. The NFL is different now. You need the QB and then a good GM to get all the role players in place once he gets paid.
  10. My thoughts on Pitt as a whole have been that they get one more bite at the apple before they need to blow the roster up. They can keep Tomlin and Co. The roster is good enough to plug and play an established QB, but if they can't make it work they need to do whatever it takes to go out and get one. If I am Pitt and I don't get Rodgers the entire roster is up for grabs. Load up on capital to go up and get your QB.
  11. My quick two cents is that Rodgers is hanging it up and/or not coming to Pitt and they have word. No way they trade Pickens if they get one more bite at the apple with Rodgers/Pickens
  12. I thought I heard a few months ago that there wasn't much tread left on his tires and the dude is more or less washed.
  13. Ugh. We were just talking about what to do if the Bills play on Christmas. It's a tough one because we don't live there anymore and most of my family is gone. So wed have to ditch both families and make it a friends Christmas. Which we are on the fence about. But then you add in the last regular season home game ever. ....against the Chiefs... That's a lot to miss As an out of town season ticket holder who makes it to just about every home game, 1 pm starts are so much better for me. I can make it home Sunday night and work Monday.
  14. It's fine. I'm optimistic. But I am hesitant if the impact. I'm not confident that we'll get much use out of him in the same way we didn't get any use out of Yeldon, Hines, Knox, Kincaid, Samuels, MVS etc. We've struggled with some of these role player/definitive skill set types and getting them involved early/often. Rooting for this one to be different but I am cautious.
  15. I was so confused checking my notifications.
  16. I think Allen and McD lock onto certain guys for different reasons and MVS missed checking the boxes for both guys. Not getting any production from Poona Ford was absolutely bonkers. Allen is wildly talented but tends to live "off script" because of that he can kind of play favorites a bit and/or will force the ball into situations/players that aren't the best. This is something that has gotten much better over the years. His OTA presser he said that his offseason focus was being better pre snap, setting up blocking, and understanding what he is seeing, etc. I suspect that a lot of this is a one hand washes the other type of situation. And I fully expect that this portion of his game takes a leap over the next few seasons.
  17. I do like that he directly said "when you pay Josh what you are paying for it you have to take it away from somewhere else". I am a huge proponent of the fact that once you pay the QB that player has to do more with less. They have to make up for the pay gap in some of their talent. Josh did a very good job of that last year. I expect him to continue to do very good as we move forward. To Beane's point on WGR, defense has cost us games. We have an excellent RB stable and OL. The Bengals model is bad.
  18. I absolutely agree. An NHL franchise is much more difficult to manage. The complexity of managing and scouting thousands of athletes from 13 years old to 33 years old, and deciding whether or not to draft them, and how/where to progress them in a system with a million different variables, cannot be understated. To bring it back around to the Bills, you hit the QB you hit on basically everything. But to add on to what my OP was talking about, what I think Beane is best at is structure, process, and communication. I don't believe he is anywhere near a world class talent evaluator, or anything resembling one. But I think he is world class team leader at scale. BB's skill set would likely put him in the C-Suite of any business industry he chose. He just so happened to choose the NFL. I am not advocating for this, because it harkens back to the Russ Brandon/Ralph era, but internally, outside of Ruff, Beane would likely be the best person in the extinct "One Buffalo" org to take over as some sort of COO of the Sabres. Which is a crazy statement to say about the state of the Buffalo Sabres. The best guy to run the hockey team that is already on Pegula's payroll already is the current GM of the football team. I just signed and paid for my PSL's for the Bills the other day. And the Buffalo Sabres make me very afraid of my 30 year "commitment".
  19. Here is a very real thought. You could take a flyer on Shedeur in the 7th and Deion gets an NFL job in 2026 and offers you a third. Theres a nonzero chance that is possible. With all the trash in and out of KC and Andy Reid at the helm with Mahomes at QB they're the best equipped to manage that. Shaduer and Jackson Mahomes aren't all that different. They can survive SS for a year.
  20. Not a draft guru. But Google tells me he lacks flexibility, which blows up the leverage he should have with his huge size. Also conditioning/work ethic seem to be a consistent problem.
  21. In fairness Shaduer said "we" over and over again when asked about turning an NFL team around. I agree with whoever else posted that it would have served Shaduer well to have a different coach than pops at some point. And for the record. I find Deion entertaining. He's without hyperbole one of the greatest all around athletes to ever walk the earth. I like him in college football (although disappointed he gave up on the whole HBCU thing) and I'd like him as an NFL coach. He's must watch TV. There's a lot more insufferable people in the NCAA and NFL. But that's not the kind of dude I would want as a helicopter parent around my org who has access to the national media and a microphone 2-3 days per week. Retiring his number reinforces this argument as well. Oddly enough Shilo seems to be the most grounded Sanders by far which makes him an interesting prospect to me.
  22. At this point the best thing for Shaduer is to go very late round as a flyer to a team with a strong org, HC, and well entrenched starter hoping to flip him down the road for a higher pick. KC would be a good fit and they can absorb Deion antics. So would Buffalo but I don't want to deal with Deion and his QB son. I will say Shilo seems like the exact opposite. Much more humble and work horse. Hes been nothing but projected as low draft pick/UDFA safety and Prime hasn't propped him up as more than that. I'd wouldn't be mad at taking a flyer on the kid and maybe putting him on the PS.
  23. In regards to McKelvin I was more talking about him as an elite physical prospect vs a finished player in the NFL. I won't hijack the thread too much to defend McKelvin and I also think Hairston should be better. But... I always thought more teams than not had worse CB2's than McKelvin during that time. In his 8 years with th Bills he was named to the NFL's all rookie team, was top 10 in pass break ups and pick 6's twice, and fumble recoveries and interceptions once. All in different years. Add on his elite skill as a returner and it is a decent NFL career. He just wasn't the guy we hoped. But to bring it back around without derailing. They seem to have elite physiological measuarables, similar size, and similar criticisms/areas in need for improvement.
  24. I'm not the draft guru that others are on this board. But going through YouTube, these comments, and a bunch of prospect profiles and I the only one who thinks he reminds me of.... Leodis McKelvin Tremendous athleticism. Can run with anybody and everybody. On the small-ish side. Needs to get stronger. Sometimes trouble tracking the ball. I was a McKelvin fan btw. He played 9 years. Good cover corner who struggled to track the ball at times but almost never got beat. Not a world beater but a decent starter in the NFL. With the 11th pick everybody wanted a Nate Clements replacement. We got a solid starting outside corner. If McKelvin were picked 30th people would have viewed him differently. (Aside from that kickoff he fumbled)
