  1. do i agree that we are a great or very good team....no not at all. i still think it is possible we finish 8-8 or 11-5, but when you have a defense that continually is forcing turnovers you are doing something right. i hate seeing teams carve us up, and it will bite us in the ass most likely more than once this year, but a W is a W regardless of how ugly it is. as in racing if you win by an inch you might as well win by a mile because a win is a win. we are 4-1. enjoy it, we are doing ok. yes play calling was skeptical in the 2nd half, i thought it would be a miracle for us to come out with a W in the 3rd, but it happend and we did it. lets love it for atleast an hour before we remember we live in buffalo and our team is the bills.
  2. so how is troup bad? he has had a couple of injuries, and spends all his sunday's backing up a guy who went to the pro bowl. where would terrence be in this defensive line. also we play a hybrid, where does a fat ass like him fit. at his size when he was drafted, and his history of lack of work ethic, it was ok to skip, and troup could still be a solid player in the nfl. we wont know untill kw goes down for significant amounts of time. this is stupid. i know we have missed a bunch of better draft picks, but come on. we cant just go through the draft after the fact and put together the perfect draft. christ we are 3-1, atleast for a few more hours. we are playing pretty solid football, and this is your focus. great, must be miserable being you
  3. THANK YOU!!! this was actually my biggest gripe(other than 99.9% of off pass int). In 2 almost consecutive plays merriman gets punched in the face(literally) and then held in an attempt to sack dalton. Bungles end up punting, our very next passing play pears(i think) gets called for the most tickey tackey hands to the face. Not only did it happen to Merriman, the entire sideline complained, next play all the way back. calls where poor. i didnt realize that fitz played with a splint on his throwing hand either, bad calls, plus half of his super poor passes back to open recievers would have been a win by 2 posessions. end of the day defense has to stop dalton and your offense has to score more points
  4. i saw some unfavorable calls, which went our way the last few weeks. today though i saw his inaccuracy as our biggest flaw. a close 2nd was the defense, nothing in particular, but they did allow the big play at inopportune moments and werent able to make stops at the most imprtant moments. both sides of the ball fed off eachother, but i thought fitz hurt the d more so than the other way around.
  5. ballsy move predicting the entire east loses except for us. pats could lose, doesnt mean they will. phins will lose i think the ravens will punch the jets in the face all day long
  6. dont u mean more like luck/manning? hey indianapolis who did u replace peyton manning with? oh just manning! except this time we did it right, we let him sit behind peyton manning for 4 years. we are set at qb for another decade and a half
  7. yes, but u cant argue the knee jerk raction that comes with being a bills fan
  8. stop this right now...lets talk bills football not fake football this makes me angry side not who cares if he wins that or not?
  9. our schedule is loaded after the bye. it will be interesting to see how we handle a rather rough road trip. the game prior is vs jets, then @dallas, @miami, @jets again. then 2 weeks later @sd. how we get through this stretch will determine the outcome of the season, by far the most difficult. as much as i would like to say teams are easily labeled, so that i can fawn over the bills, the truth is it isnt. i have a feeling the nfc east is relatively average this year, but you never want to underestimate them. Sun 10/2 Cincinnati Bengals at Cincinnati1:00 pm W Sun 10/9 Philadelphia EaglesPhiladelphia 1:00 pm L/W (I think we split these. possible to win through the by but not likely, my guess beat philly lose giants on the road) Sun 10/16 New York Giants at NY Giants 1:00 pm W/L Bye Sun 10/30 Washington RedskinsWashington 4:05 pm W should win after a buy Sun 11/6 New York Jets NY Jets 1:00 pm lets see if the jets bounce back after a tough loss against the raiders Sun 11/13 Dallas Cowboys at Dallas 1:00 pm W i hate them Sun 11/20 Miami Dolphins at Miami 1:00 pm W divisional game should win Sun 11/27 New York Jets at NY Jets 1:00 pm L Sun 12/4 Tennessee TitansTennessee 1:00 pm W, this team will only improve as the season goes on. hasselback has game left in him Sun 12/11 San Diego Chargers at San Diego 4:15 pm L Sun 12/18 Miami DolphinsMiami 1:00 pm W Sat 12/24 Denver BroncosDenver 1:00 pm W Sun 1/1 New England Patriots at New England 1:00 pm L this is my thought. i hope this game doesnt have any serious significance with all that it is possible we lose to giants, eagles cowboys 2 to the jets and to sd. wouldnt be suprised to drop an easy one somewhere either. i think 11-5ish 12-4 if we are lucky, but i have been a bills fan for too long to think they cant loose more than we think. could go 9-7. all in all over .500. chan is coach of the year
  10. unsure on this???? kordell stewart picked us as the best team in the afc, power rankings have us 6th, and jemelle hill thought we should have been in the top 5. so if we arent picked as the greatest team in the world in any sport we are being dissed. we seem to be getting alot of credit, and it is almost worrying, because finally with some recognition you would hate to blow it. we keep getting talked about with the lions, and honestly i pick the lions over us as well as far suprise undefeated teams. the oakland win was awesome. turns out kc is god awful, and well a pats win is always a pats win. just saying if i where another team in the nfl, i would be more worried about stafford suh, johnson, van den bosch right now rather than dareus stevie fitzy. we still have something to prove. last few weeks have been awesome, but not totally sold yet. if anybody knows that it should be us
  11. i love the bills and this years team, but leodis sounds like he cant read and the jury is still out as to whether dareus even bothers to open his mouth when he speaks. what you mean is fred stevie and fitzy all speak well, because they are basically the only one who see a podium or a reporter regularly
  12. i actually dont think the nfc east is anything that great this year. normally i would say that that division is the strongest, but i see philly about to let it all unravel. the skins seem to be doing ok. i am sorry but i just cant get on this romo/stars train after watching them play. the giants might be the best of them all and they look like a 10-6 team, not what we have seen in years past from this division also i think if romo played for any other team we would never be talking about him. just another mid to upper level qb in the nfl. worse than eli and eli is ranked something like 11th. that makes him about 13th-ish. congratulations you are the definition of average at your job, and everybody fawns over you?
  13. the bills continue to do poorly untill i order sesame chicken. i got it early week 1 cause i was hungry. raiders game was going poorly, so wasnt hungry at all, thought lets give it a whirl at the half. so today i gave the bills the benifit of the no chinese food, well we saw the first quarter. ordered chinese part way into the 2nd and boom WINNNNNNNERRR
  14. possibly could have gotten a better answer if they just asked the crowd sitting behind the uprights
  15. ....david hasselhoff or rosanne barr? much easier for girls i dont know its been a tough few years to be in the afc. steelers and ravens are both generally good for atleast 10 wins and possibly 12 each. as much as i hate the jets, if they continue they are good for the same. the jets at least splits games with the pats as of recent. so realistically with those 4 teams to get teh wild card in the afc it is feasible to need at least 10 wins with a win over the pats possibly 11 wins.
  16. i dont think that there is any actual evans hatred, or dislike for the guy. we can all agree he was a class act, and one of our better players. i think the what you call hate is just a response to the unrelenting love for lee as one of the great recievers in the league, with a more realistic view. i wish lee well but he didnt fit here. he is a no.2 burn reciever, he doesn't fit this offense qb or coach as a go to guy on every down or in important situations. great guy slightly better than pedestrian recievers. just like there where a ton of !@#$s on those 90's teams that where great players, they can still be great. same as lee being a nice guy, doesnt take away from the facts about his skill set
  17. so...i live in okc, my apt doesn't face the right direction so i can't get dtv. sacked up and spent 350 for sunday ticket to go. well, week 1 it didnt work, but watched an online feed, hooked it up to my flat screen, and watched. not great picture but i assumed it was only for a week so whatever. i got the sunday ticket feed for week 2. it was the same or worse. 350 for a ****ty picture. i want to cancel it but we are 2-0. so i guess i sack up and keep it for a bit. i actually have friends coming over to watch this week. will be mildly embarrassing but whatever i am doing my part for a bills win. also if anybody is in okc, i think next week i am going to start going to the bricktwon brewery. they want to be a registered bills backers bar, but the my email keeps getting kicked back due to a full inbox. they will do 2 dollar pints for us for the game. our only backers bar is a wildwings...which sucks, ive been, nothing buffalo about it.
  18. ipso facto lee evans is better than larry fitzgerald sarcasm. valid point
  19. aaron williams is a pretty physical db, an option for welker. a rookie getting his first start v the pats and maning up on welker could be pretty tough
  20. as long as he can get on the field he should be fine. he doesnt need to catch any balls, he just needs to line up. he makes boldin boldin. without lee nobody ever would have heard of anquan
  21. sign danny boy, find out what you can from him and say good bye
  22. im glad he isn't with nfl.com, maybe now we can stop considering him knowledgeable about whats happening with bills football. granted it would have been nice to see him stay local, but he'll have fun with dj in cleveland. hey it's hard to get a job as a journalist in the nfl
  23. the secondary is questionable at this point. you cant shut down that pats offense without a pass rush and decent coverage. we need really good play from our lb corps to be able to rush without blowing any assignments. if the 3 guys up front can do their jobs, a great game for the lbs and above average play from our cb's we can win as long as we are clean with the football. we need merriman to be merriman
  24. i thought so a little during the offseason, just a little. but when you have TO he commands attention from the D, great, but he also demands attention in the offense. I just think this group of WR is really geling together and becoming a unit. they like being the no names, let them they have been doing ok. keep spreading the ball to everybody rather than trying to get it to reciever a, b, or c. I like TO i liked him when he was here, he is quite and I don't think he creates conflict anymore, the issues TO brings to the team at this point for the Bills is just the fact that he is a sure fire future HOFer, and commands the offense to be a focused on TO. I do think TO would have been (before his knee injury) a significantly better signing than Chad Ocho Cinco. TO still has some game yet, and TO at his age is still better than Ocho is now, any day all day.. With that I will say I am glad that the Patsies didn't go that route, now we don't have to deal with it twice a year as a replacement for parrish, i say no way (see above). now if we lost stevie long term with some injury, groin or otherwise? i say pick up the phone. I am not sure I am ok with our wr corps with aiken and naaman as our replacement for parrish johnson
