  1. If this game goes off Tuesday. Suspensions and fines need to already be in place. No Vrabel in the building. No illegal practice players on the roster.
  2. We are bending over backwards for a team that has been actively breaking the rules for weeks now. And we are doing it while inconveniencing the Steelers, Bills, and Chiefs. This wasn’t an unfortunate spread. This was a team trying break the rules and putting the league at risk. Im less mad about trying to play the game and more frustrated with the lack of leadership, communication, and information from the league. Except there is another team who doesn’t know exactly who they are playing when.
  3. We don’t know that yet. The league has basically said “We are going to try and play Tuesday, but that might not work, and if it doesn’t, just play KC on Thursday per normal” I find this “decision” useless and actually more frustrated than earlier. They’ve had months to prep contingencies. Tennessee has been effing around for weeks. And what we have now still is, the contingent is contingent and some very loose guidelines.
  4. For a team that has a one off test. You find a way to be malleable. For Tennessee, if they can’t get it under control, go home, it’s been 2 weeks at that point.
  5. The team has tested positive almost daily for a week plus. The abnormality is the day or two they didn’t add to their case count, not the days they did. Having zero new infections on Saturday is irrelevant. They should be subject to testing until the morning of the game. Any positive test is a forfeit.
  6. Shocked they didn’t work Buffalo/KC into a more prime time slot. Wait, Gunner you’re in the UK? Who are you, Andrew Lincoln?
  7. I understand the timeline for the Tennessee game going off. But let’s say Tennessee has a positive test Saturday. Is Buffalo still on for Thursday against KC? Or in you scenario, if we see positive test Monday morning, is Buffalo expected to turn on a dime and start prepping for KC? That’s the date that is important. Otherwise nothing is different and the league is still jerking everybody around. More than anything that’s what’s bothering me the most. Agreed, Titans test positive for another few days. I think they should also be tested night before/morning of, if they can get results on time, and a single positive test costs them the game entirely.
  8. Small issue of timeline here. “As long as there are no more positive tests” and “but goes back to positive tests” Sounds like Buffalo v. KC could still play KC Thursday. What is the date of no return, where we say no matter what happens after x, Buffalo plays KC on Sunday? Is it tomorrow, Saturday, Monday?
  9. This place really is our own little slice of heaven, isn't it?
  10. Throw some big mac sauce on those puppies and you have yourself a party.
  11. It feels like this sort of thing sends a bigger message to a team like the Raiders who have been careless as well. Gruden will nickel and dime the league all day on this, but without the disaster that the Titans have been, which would make it difficult for them to count games against the Raiders. This is a major shot across the bow to Gruden and Davis. Get it together or your HC is going home for the year and you are paying us a ton of money.
  12. I agree with you. I was just being a pedantic a-hole.
  13. ha, I did not. I worked restaurants for like 15 years in Buffalo. Stopped in 2017. We probably know a bunch of the same people.
  14. So when are we doing dinner at Tempo?
  15. Valid point. I think it is closer to $7M when you look take out roster bonuses etc.
  16. It will be like the lore of OJ running for 2k yards in 14 games. When he throws for 5500 yards in 15 games he will be a legend.
  17. Don't forget to lace up first.
  18. I like how Fromm from was on the injury report without any injury. McD was just like, "Meh, Fromm didn't do much today. No real good reason, we just didn't feel like giving him many reps. So little reps in fact, that we needed to let everybody know for the sake of transparency. Again, we don't have a great reason for this, but it happened"
  19. Maybe a topic for another thread, but what do the analytics guys say? And can we be sure they are not just trying to push their "agenda?"
  20. I think wingspan and "hip bend" are important to know here. When you are on your couch, do you have to lean forward to get your beer off of the coffee table? No? Left Tackle it is! Yes? Well how much do you groan?
  21. I am built like a rangy CB with very little burst but a good engine so I can sustain mediocre performance and handle what ever snap count you throw my way. I promise to only pee myself a little bit when Diggs tries to press me off the LOS. Where should I send my direct deposit information?
  22. We are wearing matching tin foil hats on this one man. I can't blame him either.
  23. Just like a forfeit, it is not my prefered option here, but if it happened it would be difficult to complain about. Another option is, that Tennessee gives up draft picks to teams that have cancelled. Start from the bottom and move up. Pitt gets a 7th. Buffalo gets their 6th. Keep it up and Houston gets a 5th. If they still cannot get their shirts together for the Pitt make up game, Pitt gets their 7th and 4th. Tennessee gets credit for the losses, but the innocent team does not get the wins.
  24. Honestly, the more I sit with another positive test today, the more comfortable I am with the Titans having to sit out the rest of the season. Forfeit those games, or just skip them all together, does not matter to me. But I don't think that punishment is way over the top. They seen to have held multiple private practices, bringing in FA's, continued positive tests. They proved that they are not responsible enough to be apart of the pandemic version of the NFL. Another option in general is to just cancel out of conference games league wide. Treat those like bye weeks for teams. It provides some additional room for rescheduling if/when some more things go awry. Seed the playoffs by conference games only going forward. This actually works perfect for Buffalo v. Tennessee. Both have NFC games on 11/8 (Seahawks and Bears). That should not have a huge effect on TV money. It is not a dead week for the league, just a handful of games don't happen, still NFL on TV for every market and they keep the ad money. Superbowl moves to homefield for the higher ranked seed. Given the state of everything right now, especially in Florida, if I am an NFL team going to Tampa for the Super Bowl, I probably don't fly in until either the morning of or day before (like a lot of teams are doing now). The last thing I want is to risk infection with the Covid hell hole that is Florida in the lead up to the biggest game of my career.
