Overpaid for skill positions and negleted the line and the QB position who you need to impact the skill positions. This is why acquisitions like McCoy, Watkins and Clay have had no impact on the Bills winning more games.
Whaley has no idea how to build a team.
It would be the final piece of removing Ralph Wilsons stench from the football operations and our owners would finally have all their own pieces to run it their way with their people.
Kyle is just another declining asset on this team...I would try to trade him for a 3rd and 5th rounder come the offseason....realistically speaking....probably might only be able to get a 5th rounder...but lots of cap relief...
Agree. I wouldn't call them fall guys though because I wasn't expecting us to go to the playoffs anyways. The big shake up if I was the Pegulas is just not to give Whaley a new contract so they could bring in their own personnel guy to run the football operations side.
I like Rex and even with the additions of McCoy and Clay as your examples it didn't change my outlook.
I don't buy much into casual fans eating up season ticket sales based on hype. I look at the the roster to base that decision and I valued the roster at 8-8/9-7.
It doesn't matter how any fan wants to spin it.
Watkins lack of production - just not the best WR in that rookie class.
QB not targeting Watkins who is elite - Bills QB is not Eli Manning
OC's under 2 different regimes not game planing around Watkins - Hackett and Romans fault
Using two first round picks and a 4th on Watkins has been a HUGE blunder by this front office. Clearly this move was panic by Whaley. What these 3 narratives around the player that is Sammy Watkins show that this move to trade up was not well thought out at all!
The Bills DRASTICALLY over payed for his services in the draft which makes him over-hyped. People just have to come to realization that he is not an elite receiver (just yet?) nor the best WR to come out of that draft class.
In the Colts, Dolphins, Jets, and Patriots game he LITERALLY is.
Also add in supbar performances in Cinci and the Pats in week 2.
He is having an incredibly poor year.
