  1. I can't believe how many people are down on Rex. I don't really fault him with anything with the exception of the NE gameplan. It comes down to the players and there are a lot of overrated and/or declining players on this roster IMO.
  2. Leroi knew about the Bills wanting to sign incognito before any local or national reports were out that he was even visiting the team.
  3. Indirectly Doug Whaley is since he is ultimately responsible for the mediocre product on the field. At least Lee Evans wasn't injury prone.
  4. I can't say that but Rex was handed some sweet talent with NY. One thing is for sure is that Tannenbaum built a MUCH better team for Rex when he entered year 1 than what Whaley has done for Rex.
  5. And those TV contracts end up being worthless if fans don't watch the games.
  6. ...and based on Pegulas moves with wanting a czar and no contract extension to Whaley the writing is already on the wall. Rex is here to stay for at least another year or two. He was handpicked by the Pegulas and has 25 million guaranteed. He is not leaving after one year.
  7. GM's have to be held accountable to the owners, coaches, players and fans. Fans actually pay the salaries for all the above.
  8. Fire them from what?
  9. That's what the current discussion is, yes. What other topics are there? I'm at a loss.
  10. Canadian Club IS NOT a premium priced Rye. Maker's Mark IS a premium priced Bourbon. That said I would rather have CC over MM for a Manhatten or Old Fashioned.
  11. Makers Mark is an overrated Bourbon. Not worth the premium price at all. Gut rot, heart burn city. Was not impressed at all when I had a bottle in September. I would take countless Bourbons, Ryes and Whiskeys at half the price over Makers.
  12. This is perhaps the quote of the year for 2015 at TBD! Well done, sir!
  13. Oh, for sure. I don't know if it is part of becoming a Buffalo headcoach, but I noticed the same thing that he isn't the same individual he was in NY. Emotion is gone, looks pale and defeated.
  14. Tannenbaum and Mangini built a team that had a much superior offensive line to start. Better RB's that fit ryan's ground and pound. Better LB's, better CB's, better safeties. Ryan inherited a MUCH better team with the Jets. It was a great team especially in the trenches on both sides of the ball. BTW their special teams were superb too!!!
  15. Oh, the irony! This narrative is probably not that far off either.
  16. An Old Fashioned DOES NOT need to be muddled in fact it ruins the proper "whisky color" the drink should have. As for the sugar, if you are using maraschino cherries along with an orange garnish, adding sugar at the beginning is redudant IMO and makes the drink too sweet for my tastes (even with the bitters as balance).
  17. Great cocktail! ...but once I tried an Old Fashioned (not muddled, no sugar) I haven't gone back to the Manhattan
  18. We know exactly the lowdown. Assistant GM Doug Whaley and the Bills scouts were involved heavily with player evaluation for the draft (as well as a lesser degree by Buddy Nix). Doug Whaley came up with and had full control and final say of the draft board based on the scouting. Buddy Nix selects players based off the draft board Doug Whaley created along with collaboration from Doug Whaley and the rest of the team in the draft room about the pick in question.
  19. The roster Tannenbaum and Mangini groomed for Rex is >>>>>>>> than the roster Rex inherited from Whaley and Nix. Manginis hand in the drafting process for Tannenbaum was excellent...superb in fact!
  20. With a new owner, a GM he was looking at the option to replace last offseason and not under contract next year it couldn't happen at a better/more approriate time IMO.
  21. I want a GM that is extrodinary in player evaluation (scouting, advanced scouting) and will build a team from the draft outwards. That mans name for the job IMO is Eliot Wolf!!!
  22. Average drafting at its best (with the exception of one player Darby that I loved when they drafted him) and overpaying for mediocre FA's like Clay and Harvin, giving egregious contracts to declining players such as McCoy . Paying a full back 3 million a year. Egregious free agent signings like Chris Williams. Bad trades for Bryce Brown and Mike Williams. Not to mention egregious moves on EJ and Sammy Watkins that have wasted 3 1st round picks. 150 million team cap hit for 2016. Sorry that I don't like how this team is built.
  23. Some Bills fans like myself want a higher standard.
  24. "I was an integral part in the drafting process of EJ Manuel," Whaley said Thursday on NFL Network's Total Access. "I was the person that handled the draft process and setting up the board." "We have a philosophy that the information makes the decision," Whaley explained. "We think that we did enough due diligence and the information pointed us all to this point that EJ would be the guy we feel will take the Buffalo Bills into the future." http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/22260855/new-bills-gm-doug-whaley-an-integral-part-of-drafting-ej-manuel Whaley is to blame for EJ as much/equally as Nix.
