  1. I would strongly disagree. Can you name a single player that Doug Whaley drafted that is a pro bowler? Also overpaying for FA talent is horrible GM'ing IMO. Clay, McCoy, Felton just to name a few. Well technically McCoy wasn't a FA but giving up assets too makes it even worse.
  2. Can you explain. You realize Whaley isn't under contract next year.
  3. You couldn't me more wrong. Pegula was looking to hire a football "czar" while Whaley was under contract last offseason. Rex was Pegulas pet hiring. Whaley is done.
  4. That is priceless! Nice name drop. Oh I understand that. It takes two to tango like Doug Whaley putting a 1st round grade on EJ Manuel then Buddy Nix selecting him.
  5. Really, how? Pegula loves ties to Buffalo. Yeah!
  6. He scouted/evaluated every player for the packers for the last 12 years. Eliot Wolfs scouting has comprised over 80% of the Packers current roster in 2015. That is simply amazing!!!
  7. You do not understand the draft then. Wolf is an intricate part of the draft. He also does scouting of opponents evulating free agent market recommending player tryouts This is the experience I want in a GM. That and his vast knowledge in player evaulation which is exceptional. He is one of the key figures that comes up with the information for Thompson.
  8. Here is some more information/articles regarding Eliot Wolf. http://espn.go.com/blog/green-bay-packers/post/_/id/21996/eliot-wolf-proud-to-follow-fathers-path http://www.bleedinggreennation.com/2015/1/6/7500039/eagles-green-bay-packers-eliot-wolf-gm
  9. Over 80% of their roster they drafted or picked up as undrated FA's.
  10. Indeed! He would have been working in an unofficial capacity.
  11. I'm not sure if he has actually written the board but I know he has been the key guy around every draft for the Packers since 1993 that has provided the information that goes to evaluating their draft board...he is involved way more than that though... I guarantee he will be a hot commodity. They better get on him quick. I think he is SUPER bright, young, forward thinking and knows it all when it comes to evaluation and advanced scouting. I would be VERY comfortable with him being in full control of football operations.
  12. I am going on record saying he is my guy for next GM of the Bills. For anyone that doesn't know who he is, here is his bio/resume. http://www.packers.com/team/staff/eliot-wolf/554e5cf2-a949-4cb5-8d85-11e979ac48b3 Make it happen Terry and Kim!!!
  13. Eliot Wolf would be #1 on the list of GM candidates. Top priority would be to seek permission and interview as soon as possible.
  14. Not so easy. Whaley came up with the draft board that had EJ Manuel as a 1st round QB...lol Whaley is to blame for that pick as much as Buddy Nix.
  15. You shouldn't have to look back. It's looking at you in the face already. But I get your point and I certainly agree that the casual fans will spin this narrative once this season goes down the crapper.
  16. The fact that Pegula wanted to bring in a "czar" with Whaley under contract and also the fact that Pegula hand picked and hired Rex tells me Whaley is done after this year after a losing season and not making the playoffs for yet another year.
  17. Rex is 100% Pegulas guy. Whaley will not be GM next year.
  18. Absolutely not. I should also add Charles Clay. Whaley has a penchant of avoiding important aspects of this team like QB and the offensive line and then overpaying for a 3rd round QB , WR, RB (big lol), TE, pass rusher, a crippling contract to Dareus. The cap hit in 2016 right now is 150 million. Doug Whaley is a bad GM. This is a SEVERLEY flawed roster. Well anyone that was really knowledgeable about football realized this before the season...but I digress.
  19. Big hands and slow eyes...
  20. Whaley's handling of Cassel is only the tip of his incompetence as GM EJ Manuel Bryce Brown Sammy Watkins Jerry Hughes LeSean McCoy Percy Harvin .500 team or worse with a cap hit of 150 million in 2016 Dareus Fred Jackson Doesn't invest enough resources to build an offensive line. Should I go on?
  21. The 64% number are the players on the roster that play on the team that they selected in the NFL draft. That number goes way up when you add the undrafted free agents they picked up over the years that currently play on the roster. They are the best front office in the game today.
  22. Yeah. If you just take into account their starting roster I think it is somewhere in the 80 percentile.
  23. They just draft really, really well.
