  1. My god if this is true Doug Whaley is a moron...but hey I have been saying this for two years now. Wants to get rid of Greg Roman...REALLY??? More and more of his tenure is looking like a Tom Donahoe clone.
  2. By far IMO the best thing I listened to on Howard Stern in 2015 is the ISIS hotline. I think they have only done it once on the show. It is one of the funniest segments I have ever heard Stern and his team do. Just that show alone costs SiriusXM 80 million dollars a year. I have no problems with them advertising.
  3. I did...don't you remember?
  4. The moderators were only allowed to ask questions regarding national security, terrorism and foreign policy. It seems you answered your own question in the last sentence. If you think those are national security issues then it is the fault of the CNN moderators not asking those questions.
  5. Those 2009 and 2010 Jets teams played with all 3 at a very high level. It get's to a point where it really comes down to the players and not the coaches. There have been two consecutive regimes now that can't fix the penalty problem with this roster.
  6. Fans too. There were only a handful of people on this website that thought they would be about the same team as they were last year in terms of record. It was blasphemy to say they would be around 8-8/9-7 and not making the playoffs prior to the season.
  7. I agree with the overhaul completely to correct some cap hell, but I just hope it is another GM doing it. I'm all for short term pain if there is long term gain especially when there isn't any short term winning. Yes, the casuals are going to be going crazy next year when year 2 under Rex and the team still won't be in the playoffs...that's ok by me if there is an overhaul like what is talked about in this thread...just hope Whaley is not the one pulling the strings.
  8. You have to realize what's in this thread is best case scenerio magically putting players on the roster you like. It doesn't happen in reality. Major sacrifices and tradeoffs are going to be made this off season because of the cap situation which will not make us a better team in 2016. That is reality.
  9. You still don't understand that most of the money you free up is replacing the guys you cut to free up that money? That is the definition of being hamstrung as a GM. So your solution has been all along that you just can free up money by restructuring? I don't see any of that in this thread so please tell me your plan?
  10. The bolded is exactly how it is going to play out. Even 45 million in cap room (take into account the bump) is not enough to replace the hypothetical of re-signing glenn and gilmore and replacing 6 STARTERS, other free agents, rookie pool etc. Even 50 million is not enough. This thread is a lot of pie in the sky, but in reality it is going to be much more difficult when 31 other teams are trying to fill their rosters as well. This team is not going to be better next year and it is going to be a direct result of the cap situation.
  11. YES IT IS The only solutions I have read is releasing close to a 1/5th of the roster that will give you about 30-35 million in cap space. Replacing 6 or 7 starters that you needed to cut to get the cap space, then use that money and draft picks to replace those people you just cut. Doesn't even account for re-signing your own and other free agents, rookie pool etc. The solutions in this thread is the result of CAP HELL!
  12. You are releasing 27% of your roster to get in that cap space...really puts it into perspective... This thread is a PRIME example of CAP HELL!
  13. OBJ is breaking pretty much every WR record after 25 games played. I agree with the others Watkins reminds me of Lee Evans...boom or bust in production. They are both very inconsistent WR's week in and week out.
  14. I will be clinching my signed copy of Crippled America while I watch the debate tonight
  15. Indeed. Whaley has put this team in a bad situation for 2016.
  16. 650,000 in cap savings if cut... no point in 2016...2017 he is gone.
  17. You save 12.9 million in 2016 by cutting Mario. It is absolutely the correct move.
  18. I'm down with this plan. Likely some short term pain involved but that's OK. The circumstances dictate it.
  19. Under your scenerio Bills have to add 7 starters....that is just crazy...not that I disagree...that is the proper way to move forward...even with the extra cap space freed up it still doesn't look too promising. Roster depth is going to be an issue as well. Filling seven starting positions via FA and draft is a difficult task.
  20. Releasing 6 starters to get us out of cap hell who we have to replace with the money we just freed up....also losing players via free agency...man there is going to be a lot of holes to fill come the offseason... I totally agree with your plan though...those cuts need to be made to the team to get us out of this mess Whaley created.
  21. No. It will be like Christmas if Terry and Kim Pegula court Eliot Wolf in the offseason.
